  • Okay, since no one wants to start it off or give some input.....just read....here is my number 1 item I do not like.

The player that turns his head off to the side, closes one nostril and blows out the other side onto the floor, wipes on his sleeve and continues playing as if no one seen him or could have become offended....... >:(

  • 2nd most is.

A dealer that makes a mistake, then when you point it out, the dealer actually gets offended and self-defends him/herself.

  • Here is another one that was raised over the weekend:

The newer 'know it all player' sitting down and entering the game.  I would like to say right now, I have no problem and do not degrade anyone for anything they say at the table unless it is continual, rubbish and nothing more than gibberish.  Other than that, bring it on, be friendly and open and play the game to the best of your ability.

Mr. Know-it-all describing play by play to his buddy that is standing or sitting in an unoccupied seat.  I mean, literally describing, out loud, before and after each hand.  Then the friend is questioning everything.  Every single hand correct-followed by a strong affirming, 'I told you so because of'.....whatever he said before the hand.  Then, if he was wrong, he would explain it away as, 'should have been, because'.....or 'wow, surprising but anything and everything happens in the is game'....or something along those lines, etc.

Just on and on, non stop before each hand, during and after.

That stuff really bothers me, sorry it does.

  • Cocktail Waitress.

I think I have mentioned it before elsewhere, but.....

That cocktail waitress.  Generally doesn't matter the property, the state, mini or midi or one of the few big-tables left.......

When she comes along, it is like the ultimate cooler!  Just happens.  And, certain properties, you can be playing midi---just got the cards slide to you from the dealer with a sizeable hand with several larger wagers on it.  Here she comes, 'cocktails anyone'?  And, if you have happened to tip her reasonably well for the previous one, she will normally stand right behind you---even tap you on the shoulder---and persist, "cocktails"?

Yes, all in the name of good service!  Yes, she cannot change the cards.  Yes, it is not her fault 100% plus!  But, it just happens with me anyways.  Somehow, some reason, I hate hearing, 'cocktails please' if it is right at the time of opening a hand.

  • Dealer.

There are certain dealers that, will point to one side in the attempt to get players to wager it for whatever reason.  I am not talking about the small talk ones that, are responding to a player asking the dealer which side would he wager on, etc.  I am talking about the dealer that really gets into it and says so and so because of such and such, etc.  And then when he deals the hand he is opening the cards with vengeance and motions that he thinks will support his pre-hand advise.  Then when he is wrong, an instant--'that is why I am dealing and not playing' comes out of his mouth.  If he is right that, look out of the corner of his rolled eyes is coming forthwith.

And, this is not an occasional thing with the dealer.  This is like a few times every 10 hands or so.

  • Players.

The one lone player with a small wager yelling for a losing card on the other side he did not wager, especially when the entire table is wagering on that other side.

I do wager on whatever side I want regardless of what other people do.  I just refrain from calling for the dealer to pull the losing card on the other side if I am the lone player.

  • I went to the casino last night and it was crowded and bac table was crowed all night, 1/2 regular played and 1/2 new or newer players came in.  So typical and so annoying to the max.  Never more true!

  • I could do a book but am in the middle of a movie.

Here's one >> lets say there is a straight up bet on the 5 but the chip(s) is BARELY BARELY touching the line with the 8. The 5 hits. The dealer calls over either floor or pit. If its only a couple bucks, usually they'll give the straight up but not so much if its higher units. Then it's a split (lol).

Kenny the annoyer then asks pit.....what if the 8 would of hit? Would he of got paid for the split?

Nope is the answer ALONG WITH A DIRTY LOOK!!! Usually when I ask that and we (table) get that answer, the other players ERUPT in anger (lol). I love it !!

    Ken

  • At my house the biggest pikers are on the traditional poker and black jack side.  The poker side is huge, but they think they are all that and a lot of them are very crappy and or play small.  So many seem to have no idea what kind of paper is trading on the baccarat side.   The pai gow poker and other Asian game players are cool though.  I can't even walk through some parts of the house anymore because it so annoying.

When I watch how some of those morons bet black jack it really is a joke.  I see players literally going 50-66% ++ high payout bet AS A BASELINE way to play.  I think their stupidity gets in the ventilation system, but as long as they stay the hell away - good.

I love watching our dealers deal pai gow poker because they put in skill and work vs. some easier to deal games like baccarat.

Yep, I know exactly what you mean 21A--there is this dealer named "Ellsworth" (got tired of everyone making fun of that name so he had a name tag with "MoB" on it, LOL) at one of the casinos I play at and he is really talented, never makes a mistakes, spot on, never presses the players, pays correctly, doesn't swoop in to collect the losses and offend the losing players, etc.  And the other week in a cut back, he got cut to part time and lost a few of his benefits, but he was older like 65 or so, probably about time to retire anyways.
