Spike! They are not honest!

They are in violation of a license they hold with the GRA.

Here is part of a thread on Casinomeister at the moment........

To ensure that my investigation isn't seen as targeting Betfred i've conducted the same test at Bet 365.

100 spins on real play - 4 double numbers - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=368_D...ature=youtu.be (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=368_DvpN1XE#)

350 spins on free play - no double numbers - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgTwq...ature=youtu.be (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgTwqe27qx4#) - odds of occurence 1 in 62,623,617.

bet365 are just as much implicated in this current scandal as betfred are.

It does not surprise me either with the history I had with them.

You will get along fine with them as long as you don't intend winning.

Victor once posted details of a mob that flogged casino software.

Their sales blurb made it VERY clear that buyers would be able to control a players' wins.

Sadly I lost the thread, but I'll PM Victor to see if he can recall it.

Meanwhile, look at all these casino software providers!!!   http://www.allcasino.org/software.html (http://www.allcasino.org/software.html)

Are they all honest?   >:D

Or is it a matter of dodgy easter eggs to manipulate winnings, that they only tell you about once you've bought the software?

I used to target bet365 for just small regular wins. Everything went well for a while and then I started getting connection problems with them. Now I know this can happen from time to time but it only happened on my winnng bets. Complaining to them brought me no joy and the girl said nothing when I told her I was going to close my account and take my business elsewhere. So that's what I did.

I would stay away from playtech casinos if I were you Spike.

William Hill are another one of these and they have a pretty bad rap lately on the forums for non payment and closing accounts.

playtech....

bet365
betfred
william hill
prestige
europa

There are loads of them. I wouldn't trust any of them lot to be honest.

I have never had a problem with the following...

dublinbet

smartlive

fairway

ladbrokes

You want honest you go to the live wheels at PADDYPOWER. Betfred live is okay. The worst is William Hill. Very poor losers. They all use one of two LATVIAN FEEDS anyhow. The question is the integrity of the uk bookmaker themselves. Paddy power are A number 1. And William Hill are the pits. The rest are somewhere in between.

Ladbrokes use the same feed as PP. And Betfred the same as WH. So you take your pick.

I wouldn't play Bet365 they are suspect. EVEN their RNG has a minumum bet of £5 on the outside chances. This is madness. When PADDY POWER goes from 50p to £10,000. No comparison.

They're not in the same league as the big boys. Just a greedy online bookmaker.

I strongly recommend

1  You use Google to find that out for live wheels.

2  You visit this:  http://betselection.cc/online-casinos/which-online-casino%28s%29-would-you-recommend/ (http://betselection.cc/online-casinos/which-online-casino%28s%29-would-you-recommend/)

No online casino is honest.
They can limited you or ban you at any time they like.
Stop payment when ever they feel like to do so.

There is nothing you can do about it.

That is why i only deal with sport-betting when i play online.
I pick sites where player play against other players.
The site only take a small commission and that is why there not exist any reason to limited or ban any members or stop any payment.

Wikipedia on Bet365 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bet365)

I think that site caters mostly to 'slot jockeys' which I always find a bit ironic considering the nature of the site.  :))

However to be fair, I have noticed that the 'meister' has acted even on casinos who were pretty high up the pecking order.

Betfred were one of his best advertised casinos last year and he took them of the accredited list for previous misdiscretions. They then got reinstated and now they are off again.

I have said in the past that there are too many smarmy casino affiliates on that site and that still holds true.

What does any of that have to do with bet365?

Well, I know they were in trouble recently in Australia. It had something to do with the tote pools at the racetracks.

They are implicated in this rogue software scandal.

They knock back customers left right and centre in the uk. They are not called bet £3.65 for nothing!!  :))

My experience on the live casino front is that they will take countermeasures once you start getting ahead and it looks like you are a hard nut to crack.

cheers

It's one thing to say that you don't trust them, but you can't possibly know that they are ALL dishonest! Sorry, but that's absurd.

And the other statements could just as well apply to B&M casinos. The fact that they may choose to limit or ban you doesn't make them dishonest, although it doesn't make good business sense either.

It's simple. A casino is a business like any other, if you rip off your customers they won't come back, they ALREADY have an edge, and there is plenty of competition out there. The sheer, unsubstantiated nonsense and paranoia you read on this topic drives me crazy.

End Rant.

One of the main problems is that the regulatory bodies mostly consist of a group of people who could not really give a flying fig about the ordinary punter in the street.

The gambling industry is fuelled by greed and you can't expect them to be saints considering many of our so called pillars of society are mostly just interested in making a quick buck nowadays. The gambling industry needs properly regulating and that just is not happening.

I don't expect it to get better anytime soon.

Nobody will play if they can not win. The casinos never lose.  Most who are playing for years use to say they are ABOUT  break even (2.7% is about). Some end up plus and some lose and can lose heavy. Most do not lose heavy, as you must have something to lose at first. One here lost SEK 3000k in different casinos BM all over Europe.

There are dishonest casinos, but I think they can not live long.

I hear a lot about ban, and fraud, but has not been target of it or know anybody for sure face it, expect some casinos has vague terms for bonus.

I agree that the gambling industry is fuelled by greed, but that probably applies to any big business, and it doesn't necessarily mean that the business is dishonest, at least, not in the sense that there is widespread corruption. However, I do think casinos need to be more responsible regarding problem gamblers. There was a program recently here in the UK which showed that most casinos (online in particular) are perfectly aware that a punter may be a problem gambler because they can see it from the betting patterns and deposits, yet they continue to accept more funds in the account (Still available to watch - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01nm27r (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01nm27r)).

The big boys are more tolerant. Like Ladbrokes and Paddy Power. But even theyll have a limit once they realize the house edge isn't going to stop you. I will wait to see how far im allowed to go.

I would never play Paddy, they
only give you 20 seconds between spins. that's barely
enough time to write down the results, let alone
study them and make a decision for the next bet.

The only people I see on the net unhappy with Bet365
have tried to withdraw large amounts of money, in
the thousands, and have run afoul of the verifying who
they are process. One guy withdrew $5000 and his
own bank turned down the payment from 365 saying
there was something amiss in his account. So of course
365 closed the guys account and investigated. Story
after story like that, rarely do you see they just flat
out refuse to pay for no reason.

Like what? Name some countermeasures.

One of my golden rules is not to play at any casino which has anything to do with Playtech.

Here is the rundown...

Bet£3.65

This happened about 5 years ago.

I was playing in a syndicate and we were playing for reasonable money.

I was betting number 2 using a progression (stupid looking back on it)

Anyway, it never hit for ages and I ended up having about £40-£50 on it. I get a message saying that the server has disconnected. You don't need to be a genius to guess what number came up! I think they monitor players who are winning large sums of money regularly. I had took them out for about 3k that week and I reckon that was the moment they decided to teach me who the boss was. I complained and got all the usual stuff.

Betfred

I had a really good spell after opening up an account with these. I built my bank up to around 1k from a £50 deposit.

When I went to withdraw the money, they asked me for all kinds of different ID and kept saying the ID I was sending was not clear enough and could I resend it. This went on for weeks. I think it was obviously just a ploy for me to carry on playing and they were hoping I would hit a losing spell.

Betfair

I opened up an account with a small deposit and got that up to around £500 in a week or so! I went to withdraw it and they accused me of player fraud saying I already had another account with them in another name. Obviously this was stuff. So I went back and forwards for a few weeks and they eventually said that their decision was final and that they would not be paying me out. I did get my original deposit back.

It seems that from what happened to me and what I have read online that the group of casinos powered by Playtech software are not to be trusted.

You should be especially careful after I read your posts on the WOV forum.  I would make a small withdrawal first if you intend to play there just to make sure that everything is ok.

Hmmmm....   A salutary tale.

Thanks very much for that detailed analysis.

The only bit that surprised me was Betfair's behaviour. I would have expected better than that from them.

Still, that's another lesson learned!  :(

Betfair have a bit of a chequered history to be honest.

They had a problem several years ago when one of their games made it impossible to lose and people started playing and winning for a few hours well the window of opportunity existed.

They decided to confiscate all winnings and even started taking money out from players bank accounts. (wrongly in some cases)

http://www.casinomeister.com/rogue/betfair.php (http://www.casinomeister.com/rogue/betfair.php)

Ladbrokes are about to take over the betting exchange 'purple' and this may at last give Betfair something to think about if purple can get enough liquidity into the markets.

Dearie, dearie me...

I've only ever used BF for sports betting and without any problems -- touch wood.

Given that fiasco over the 10x business at their casino,  I'm now wondering if I've simply been lucky thus far to have escaped their obvious potential for underhand treatment of their customers.

I guess it all comes back to the fact that there is really no proper supervision and oversight by a statutory body with teeth.  ::)

You might prefer Smarkets (https://smarkets.com/) (I do). It's a relatively new kid on the block but is growing fast. It hasn't got the liquidity of BF but has a nice simple interface and a low flat commision rate of 2% on winning bets.
