We were playing back in July and the dealer with his unintelligent shenanigans got us really pissed.  Hey, when your Italian and from the Bronx, getting chastised by a 20 something year old dealer that doesn't even know the rules of the game----oh well, some will understand it and most won't.  Hell, I reached over and picked up the shoe and throw it in the middle of the pit.  Everyone clapped and high fived, it was worth it.  Yes, of course the floor person jumped up and down and screamed, literally for security and came over and stood over me in my face.  Called him a punk fag and grabbed my crotch (god it felt like I was back in the Bronx)!  30 days time out. LOL, another one for the books.  :))

The situation was. All the players at the table wagering on Player side.  High wagering player returns a total of 5 and the dealer then flops a total of 6 over for the Banker.  Dealer slides a card out and the high wagering player flops over a 7 to add on to the player side. Dealer proceeds to immediately swoop everyone's wager up while saying, "banker wins with a 6 over a 2".  Naturally we all look at the dealer and say, wait.  He already had all the chips sitting in the last person's space by the time he stopped and did that unintelligent look---crunch one's eyebrows and cock your head slightly thing. Dealer yells for the floor person and when he comes over, the wagers are returned and floor tells the dealer to pull another banker card.  Banker card is an Ace and fortune 40-1 wins.  Most of us had fortune out there, which added up to a hell of a lot more than our Player wagers anyways.  Dealer still in amazement and says some smart stuff thing like, "guess none of you made a mistake in your lives, huh".  We all look at him and ask how long he has been dealing and he says, "none of your business, I know what I am doing" or something real close to that anyways.  My buddy and I look at each other and we mimic the dealer in everything he just said.

The dealer doesn't think our little skit is very funny and calls the floor person over once again.  He tells the floor that we are acting a bit out of line and asked the floor to tell us to 'behave' ourselves.  That is when I pick up the shoe and toss it into the middle of the pit.  I told the dealer, "how's that--is that behaving good enough for you"?

I got a 30 day time out, stand in the corner--for my actions.  Big deal.

I have never done anything like that or and I don't believe I will ever do anything like that.  Some dealers say some of the dumbest things at times but I'm usually very forgiving. The worst I've done was call a dealer a BIOTCH for refusing to give me smaller denomination of chips(telling me to go to the cashier for it), saying real unintelligent thing as which side was obvious and didn't know why we place large bets on the other side, paying out wrong,  dealing extremely fast, making mistakes, taking our bets when it is a tie or if we win.  Yes, the BIOTCH did all that.

Danny: Because the house always wins. Play long enough, you never change the stakes. The house takes you. Unless, when that perfect hand comes along, you bet and you bet big, then you take the house.

Rusty: You've been practicing this speech, haven't you?

Danny: Little bit. Did I rush it? Felt I rushed it.

Bronx huh?

I'm on long island

Jerome Avenue was my old stomping ground actually off the Cross-Bronx.  Lived up off of Exit 13 in the late 80's, the exit where NY Bus Service was at on the right side getting off going north. I know LI well.

Hey Al.
I almost met Sammy Gravano. Did you know any of the guys?  I say almost 'cause I didn't speak to him, he was at a casino in Biloxi, (Biloxi has a long history with the guys).   I was near within a few feet of him and we locked eyes for a second and I think o s--t there's Sammy. He had a wig but, you know, you could tell. I was around the same area as he and we locked eyes a couple times and he gave a smirk then drifted toward the hotel.  He probably thought I was a tail.  This was before his arrest in AZ.

UPDATE!  Dealer fired for being involved in some kind of cheating scandal at one of the other casinos in the region!!!  LOL to the max.

Actually the floor person that banned me for the 30 days and the security chief both came up to me and shook hands and tried their best to apologize and just reiterated they had to do something with the action I took of throwing the shoe into the middle of the pit.  They even told me, if I only pushed the shoe or even knocked over my drink or cussed the dealer out--nothing would have happened, etc.  LOL, we look back at this and laugh now!

The other night I throw a card and it bounced off the dealers arm and went onto the floor.  So the dealer has to call the floor over, I said really loud, 'Oh no, I am going to get banned again", everyone broke out laughing.

Such fun!  LOL.

You have no idea of what was happening prior to the 2008/2009 crash of the economy.  Especially with the smaller high limit pits in Atlantic City.  They all had the large 14 player seating tables with the 2 floor people-1 at each end and the 3 dealers on one game.  It was busy and although there was no back betting involved, none, there was lots of money.  It got so bad at times, players would just call out at times "Player takes table max" and then the dealer would call it out and then they would not have to break down the wager to check it.  If you had say $10,800 out on a $10,000 max table, they would break it down after the hand, win or lose the overage of the $800 back.  Likewise there was lots for the floor people to watch including players handing each other money and chips, etc.

Seemed on the busier weekend nights, they would be stopping the game at least once a shoe to run the camera and wait for the results.  Never wrong, not that I witnessed anyways.

Only seen 1 dealer, 1 floor manager, 1 banker type tables.

I was referring to the original bac tables, that is all that was around except for Mini which was usually always in the main floor.  The bac tables used to be where the players handled and maintained the shoe (as long as they made a Banker winning decision, passed the shoe clockwise when a Player came out) and dealt the cards, etc.

There are still some left, C.P. in Vegas has 1 or 2 but offers the option to run them Macau/Midi style or original style, depending on what the players desires, Bellagio has one, there are a few other places, most got rid of them or have them in the rear private saloons behind the high limit pits, etc.
