"Nested" Marty's can be created in the middle or at the end of your martingales.
They take time and some imagination to invent and some decent math skills do help.
I had a "middle nested" one that I created out of a Fibonacci martingale several years ago but I can't find it in my Bac. notes right now. (maybe later)
The general idea of all Martingales is you want to put your big dollar bets at the front end.
Unless of course if you are a big Banker fan (which I'm not) then you want to put your high end bets near the end to help pay the 5% vig.
The advantage of a nested Marty is that they give you the opportunity to put your big bets at the front and at the same time
they lower the total cost of your Martingale if it does go bust.
The disadvantage is when "you enter" one you pretty much have to bet Player the whole time or else the 5% vig. will eat up your profits.
Because once you enter a "nested martingale" it is possible for you to keep going around and around and around for infinity.
But there are always "exit points" along the way for you to make a small profit and at the same time put you back at the start.
Example here is a basic $20 5X Marty: 20 - 40 - 80 - 160 - 320 total cost is $620 (and any 5% vig. will eat up your profits)
Here is what a 5X "nested at the end" Marty looks like using the same Marty as above: 20 - 40 - 80 - 100 - 50/150 (total cost is either $340 or $390)
I have 3 chances to win $20 after that I could enter the nested Marty to try and get my money back and a $10 profit.
Once you enter the "nested Marty" you will be betting only $100 or $50 or $150 the whole time.

You guys now see how "nested" Marty's work.
It is possible to go around and around in circles like a dog making his bed.
But there are always winning exits along the way.
Cheers!
Remind me about some stuff I've read at that Seth's website.
Ok, there 32 possible WL outcomes on 5 consecutive spots, 64 WL possible on 6 consecutive spots and 128 WL possible on 7 consecutive spots.
Everyone of them is almost perfectly equiprobable and you have no means to detect which will be the most probable or the least probable per any chosen set.
Actually strings like LLLLLLL or longer appear not to have any winning exit way and a LLLWLLLL pattern couldn't help us so much.
Then?

If you lose 5 bets in a row then you lose $390. (Then it is time for you to go to Plan B whatever that is)
LLLWLLLL pattern? That is explained in my 2nd example and you lose $340. (Then it is time for you to go to Plan B whatever that is)
Seriously though... 1 win and 7 loses... What do you expect to win in a casino with that type of talent? LOL

Garfield... I have just finished another Marty that ties into the 20 - 40 - 80 - 100 - 50/150 Marty above.
Let me polish it up and I will present it monday night in this very thread. It is a beauty! :cheer:
Now go have a bowl of milk. LOL

I don't see any nesting of Marty there. Maybe our definition of nesting is different. With those huge losses and very small gains, it will take forever to even recover one set of losses. If you have several of those losses, you might as well call it a loss for the day.
I have done random betselection and random amounts for years. I do do anti-patterns (anti-events). I call them events because they are not your typical repeating 2s, 3s, 2-1-2-1-2-1 and etc. If everyone pay close attention to the sequence of wins, you will find that they sometimes repeat. When the random winning sequence repeat, they are now patterns. This is when random actually becomes patterns. I did this fairly decent for years. The gains are just too minimal because I do suffer catastrophic losses here and there. I had the same result nesting my Marty randomly throughout the shoe. I gave up the idea of nesting my Marty and play mechanically because all the occasional catastrophic losses lead to nowhere.
I peaked into this thread to see if you nested similar to the way I did but it wasn't. Although this thread did make me revisit nesting. I am still nesting it the same way but broke up the shoe into pieces. So far so good.
Sounds like this "Nested" Martingale laid an egg.
