There are many reasons players lose but 2 of the biggest reasons for losing can be eliminated.
#1. Players seem to think that they must play every single hand in the shoe. I hear them all the time saying things like "what should we bet now?"...or "I don't know what to do now". Well for crying out loud, if you're not sure, then why not just wait it out until you see a sequence you recognize? I haven't met anyone yet who has lost money sitting on their behind. There is no need to bet every single hand. I personally bet less than 50 percent of the entire shoe.

#2. Players are always betting against a run. Whether it's a straight line run coming down or a zigzag run. You don't know when a run will end/stop, and therefore you should never bet against it. It's best to wait until it's over and concentrate on your next bet.

Excellent advice. Player who places his or her bet every hand is a sign of being greedy, in my humble opinion. Baccarat is not a one size- fits all game. My playing style is similar to yours. I used to lose $13,000.00 a session and I promised myself that I would never be that careless again. I stick to my game plan and that how I am able to play everyday.

Cheers!!

Playing baccarat since 2004. No one size fits all strategy to win consistently.

I would like to welcome CT70 officially to the board.  He has been around a while and is active within the pro/serious gaming field.  I have talked with him in the past.  I appreciate his coming forward here.  Thank you personally and on behalf of BetSelection Board.

And yes, without a doubt, his brief post is spot-on as the saying goes.  I have written about these things/this very thing.  I have noticed post 2005-ish how the game of bac changed, especially with the large removal of almost all of the 14 seat kidney shaped tables, with the 3 dealers and 2 dedicated floor people at each one.  The types where the players themselves actually took the shoe and dealt the game and maintained the shoe as long as a banker hand was made.  But that is by the wayside now except at a hand full of places.

As well, the internet and message boards preaching systems, methods and guaranteed returns, etc., oh yeah, and YouTube and all the characters, etc.  I even hear people talk about them here in the Midwest.  I posted a 22 Player streak in 2 close parts the other day versus 2 Bankers.  Where it was 7 Players out of the gate, a Banker, a Player, a Banker and then followed by 12 or 13 Players.  Almost no one stayed on it, they kept reciting Banker has to come out and even 2 of them recited some names off of YouTube bac systems, etc.  Play for the cut, instead of pump it up and just keep pulling down the winning and lose only the last one.

But the #1 thing, is 'play for the cut', if it is streaking wager and keep wagering big for the upcoming cut to stop the streak.  Also, if it is chopping wager for the upcoming repeat.  Also pay no attention to 1s, 2s and 3s also known as Zig-Zags, and all the rest.  just play for the cut.

#1: absolutely correct, I'm telling this since 1980 :-)

#2: I do not know where are you playing at,  but in the cardrooms I'm used to attend almost nobody is going to bet vs streaks or long chops. Still such players are losers as they tend to increase their wagers in the effort to break even after a losing period.

If that was meant towards me, I understand what you are saying.  Personally, I would parlay it once or twice after pulling one down to cover my first 'streak on' wager, and then pull down the winnings each time, etc.  I don't want to steal his thread  here.

Absolutely nothing wrong in betting against a run, so long as you include rules.  I made quite a bit of money many years ago playing this way for months on end. No word of a lie, one particular session I'll never forget, as I turned a single $500 chip into $16000. After making 15 units, I became nervy, so dropped down to $100 chips for the last 10 units. Otherwise it would have been 500 into 20k.  Bust a Fibonacci once and your toast, including all prior profit, hell of a risk

Basically wait for determined streak length and apply, you must apply the breaks after x amount of losses, in my case it was after 3 losses.  After 3 losses never attempt to jump on the streak, rather wait for the next betting opportunity.

You also need very deep pockets and big balls (young and stup1d with access to a lot of cash), there are less stressful ways to play, as we discover when we age.  But the strategy it-self is rock solid the more often than not, in conjunction with a Fibonacci while standing \ monitoring multiple tables, even better if you are able to play more than one table at once, as then you can hedge.
Maths is great like that.  Once it's been proven that no method exists to do what you claim, it's not necessary to go through the details of your system to prove that it doesn't work.  You claim that it does something which can be proven impossible, therefore your claim is false. The details don't matter.  I use the names Junket, Junket King, Lugi, Mark Teruya, Rolex, Relex, Rolex Watch, Mark, Eaglite, JohnO & More depending on what day it is and whom I am attempting to be!
