The article is not emphasizing the clear and numerous actions taken by the casino to gain an advantage.  Ever watch an NBA game that goes into multiple overtimes?  It's not wise to go for long periods of sustained play as with many things.  It has nothing to do with mathematical edge of the game.  People have a limit to energy and ability to perform.
