Those side bets are weird, too many sucker bets that will cost you money in the long, but most players only remember the wins and not the losing bets.
In the UK, you can stake a tie on zero that pays 160 -1, I've seen that hit 3 times in a single shoe, ?15 for a ?1200 return.
A tie on 1, 2 or 3 at 70 -1, the samba where the bank on 3 is stopped by a player stopping with an 8, something like that, pays 200 -1
Full payout
Tied hand score Minimum odds paid
Zero 160-1
Either, 1, 2 or 3 70-1
Either 4 or 5 60-1
Either 6 or 7 22-1
Either 8 or 9 40-1
Sometimes they split the 1,2 and 3 into their own boxes, so they pay more
Ties are paid out at 9-1, which half's the HE.
They won't let you play the Super egalite online as it's vulnerable to counting, casinos are paranoid about it, have reduced the max one can bet on the zero to ?10 outside on London, they now cover the hole on the shoe so you can't see the next card coming, burn more cards, cut off an entire shoe from the deck, rumour has it, they got hit by counters, but who knows, E Jacobson posted online how to do, maybe they saw that.
Fantastic when it comes in, put ?10 on the zero tee, and get ?800 back, sure beat the payouts on Roulette, but still a sucker bet not matter how you look at it, ok for the recreational player, a no no for a full time devotee, it will cost too much.
I do favor the Fortune 7 and the 3 card 8/9 at times. I also do favor the Panda 8. All depends on the position of the shoe, current ties, how strong each side has consistently been (if either side has or not) and what previously came out if any of each one.
I do not wager on them every hand by any means. I do not wager on them without having already won something and set aside for that very purpose, etc.
