Being Wrong—Learning
You know, something I have said in so many words in other written posts here and elsewhere, as well—I just wrote something this morning, which was:
"So how do you win? How can you, the player, get an advantage yourself? Easy. 1) Casino experience; 2) Loss of money first, and 3) Developing a special money management system that works for yourself and religiously using that system each and every time you gamble."
And then I just read something that Gizmotron wrote a few minutes ago. Which was:
"I'm not going to defend my opinion. Anyone that wants to can disagree or even better go and use it. There's no better lesson than being wrong."
My background for many years is in heavy equipment, heavy wreckers and specialized heavy machinery related to those areas as well. I have been to probably 50 + training classes including many fire science related training classes, as well as numerous seminars and industry events. When speaking with the real life-long 'experts' they all agree the value and necessity of making mistakes for whatever reason and those that correct themselves and learn from such events become some of the best and most superior operators within their industries.
Think about it.
