Rapid baccarat and roulette are quite popular nowdays in Australian casinos.
Rapid baccarat and roullette consist of a live dealer but instead of betting at a table bets are made on a electronic machine, allowing more players per table and a faster paced game.
I will be travelling to Europe and the United States next year and was wondering if these live dealer with electronic betting is popular in other countries?
Im also interested in hearing other members favourite casinos in the US and Europe.

They don't have that in the Belgian land casino's. They do have electronic roulette. A real wheel where the ball shoots in . Around that you can place your bets on touchscreens.

And no Baccarat. I have no idea why. Maybe it's not popular here.

They tried the rapid roulette in some of the Grosvenor Casinos here in the UK but it never really took off. I know rapid roulette is not new, but I always think the introduction of something different is not in the interests of the player. There are a lot more shrewd players around nowadays with the advent of the internet who need a little bit of time to calculate and place their bets. Things like rapid roulette are IMO aimed at eliminating/frustrating these types of players. The casinos would rather a bunch of customers who just scatter the chips anywhere and hope for the best. One or two may get lucky, but the rest normally get wiped out pretty quick. You see the same thing on some of these live online casinos as well (especially the playtech ones) where you are lucky to get 15 seconds to bet. Once again, not enough time really if you are using some kind of software/tracking to work out your bets. To me, it's not just a sign that the casino are looking for quick turnover, they also know that a patient and disciplined player can milk them for regular profits and speeding up the game is their first defence.

They have an 80 seat Rapid Roulette and 9 tables for regular Roulette at Barona Casino near Lakeside, CA; just outside the San Diego area. At night these spots are full up. You must wait for a chance to play these too. All nine tables are manned and operating at those times.
