Strong players don't variance out.  Their play is asymmetrical risk/ reward and the more they play, the more they win.

And then there are many of us who play good enough to walk with win by variance out.  That is, reasonably strong play with good enough opportunity in the shoe and win results.  How do you know when to walk?  Currently I'm setting a trailing stop.  For example, tonight I stopped after I gave back just over 25% of my top win mark at the time.  The other night I felt very strong about doing this, didn't and went back into the red.

A hot shoe is a hot shoe and there is nothing better than being on it with all your colleagues of the game that you see all of the time.  It's like a drug for sure.  But you can really run into a progression or a shoe that doesn't click and give back...

The time after you get on a hot streak is the most important time to hold ground and move ahead and I could see it wasn't happening.  I stopped for the session and it was very difficult... BECAUSE STRONG PLAYERS PLAY MORE AND WIN MORE. Thoughts moved on to what you can do with win because walking around the house watching your colleagues play sucks.  Literally, if you haven't just watched for 20-30 minutes after you have a fast start see how that messes with you.

- Set a trailing stop from your maximum win on the session and stop when you fall back to that.
- Use your personal bests as win targets and try to reach those.
- Very specifically move elsewhere after a surge ahead in a shoe.
- Look at time remaining and time spent playing already.
- Time is money.  Hit a big leap forward and leave right away.  You'll see everyone tomorrow night and there's always plenty of time to shoot the stuff.
- Have a reward in mind that you get that night if you reach your goal.

Additional Strategy 1:

Line it up.... shots, shots, shots, and then play with your trailing stop money.  Let loose and play as smart as you can while drinking.  If nothing else, you should have fun and not be wound up tighter than a...

I highly recommend you watch a movie from a few years back, called; "Wall Street", if that doesn't do it, try "Prince of the City".  Sooner or later you will understand.

You go there boy!  I am sure you will be in demand to endorse and be the picture boy for numerous products in the high line designer world of sports cars, clothes and perhaps even, certain strengthening and girth building pharmaceuticals!

Somehow, I don't know why, you remind me of the player at the bac table where there is about 40-50 hands out and there is a perfect pattern/bias of say single followed by doubles and then every natural cuts to the opposite side.  SO the player announces it and then wagers a large amount on the bias that has happened for quite some time.  You lose the next hand and your face is stunned.  Most wagered against you and they won.  They are all smug and said something along the lines of, "Ha I know it was to going to change up".  Then those went with the new bias/trend and the shoe went smack back to the one that has happened for quite some time.  LOL, sure glad I sat out with my arms folded and shaking my head at the theories of the new players.

I don't understand.   I didn't see Wall Street in the theaters, but like many, it was a big driver in taking me to The Street.   Everyone wanted to be Gekko.

Stuck it out on a quiet night tonight and locked in win.

"There's not a sport — there's not an activity — in life where if you have a really hard grip, you're actually better," he said. "Whether it's baseball or golf or kicking a ball, the looser you are, the further the thing goes. If you're tight, you're not necessarily better."
