Well, time for a board pep talk I think.  A few of us PM'd and I was elected to give it.

Seems there are a number of new members as well as a few that are 'seasoned' and re-surfacing as they do occasionally for some unknown reasons.  So, here goes.

If you can't be nice--Don't say anything at all.  Not just in attempt to get it off your chest and insult the member that posted a thread or a response to one--he might not even care--it just looks plain 'jerk-offish' and childish is all.  It hurts the board and at times the board looks like those consumer 'Vegas' type or local message boards with kids to elderly on, specializing in soap opera insults to each other.

There is such a thing as couth--class--coolness--and points of view.  How about, "Well I don't think so in my opinion because my experience leads me to believe....................", etc., etc.  ?

My way or the highway?  Some 'seasoned' members with their elusive, incomplete and 'hinting' on perfect bet-placement methods or progressions that will never ever hold up in the long run???  Getting people inquisitive and then 'nicely blasting' them with 'subtle insults' as to their intelligence.  Come the frick on man, seriously?  So childish and so blatantly wrong, but done repeatedly. 

No one has to read anything on here, if you simply do not like the person, simply disagree, simply think what the OP is saying will not benefit you, etc., say something nice and keep it civil.  Or, just don't read it or don't respond to it---for the sake of the board.  You would not pick up a book you do not like or enjoy the author or feel it has some value to you in some way, would you??  I don't think so.  So why do it on here?  That is what I don't understand.  Have I been guilty of it, sure at times, and when I catch myself doing it, I usually erase what I was going to post and stay off their threads in the future---most of the time anyway.

As far as me, the outspoken one.  If you don't like me, just ignore my threads, no big deal, I don't care, seriously.  If you enjoy what I say, my experiences, my sick humor, my strong personality and clashes with people in the business world and at casinos, great.  Show me one post I made that I insulted someone for genuinely posting something of seemingly good content and meaningful info here and I will either have it removed or I will sincerely apologize and take the heat.  I generally insult those that insult me (sometimes) and those that come on here with no history and sell something or post sheer garbage of religious, sales, political or something along those lines.  More 'east coast' humor than anything else. 

You are what you know, your knowledge is your sole guidance in everything you do, we seldom let others guide us, we read--watch--intake and interpret, correctly or incorrectly.  That is the best part here, you can pick or choose and not hurt anyone but not reading or responding to them and by doing just that--you will make this a better board and keep the drama and the soap-opera poo-poo off of it!

Think before you blast, think before you say your innuendoes about someone that took the time to post and assist this community in a positive way.  Everything is not gospel posted, everything is not correct, everything is not wrong that you did not post, think off, try or believe in.  Period. 

Oh yeah--and one more thing--just because someone decides to post complete thoughts he has or goes into deep detail with much more than one or two lines, that 'touch on a subject' type of posts, there is nothing wrong with those either.  Once again, simple--skip what you don't like or enjoy or find interesting--and by doing just that---you have just made this a better board for all, including yourself!!
