JIMSKE wrote:  "My best advice is to share what once was told me many years ago that I always ask myself every time I play, "Do you want to win or do you want to play a game?"  Can't do both".   I thought about this for a while today, and came up with the following.  Guess you can say he inspired me to write the following. This is why we have the greatest board around!

Thoughts on Moving from 'Player' to 'Winner'!

First an analogy to set the stage (okay Lungyeh?).  So, you woke up this morning and decided you wanted to play pro-football and you thought....and thought....and thought.  You researched on-line, thought back to your grade school days, thought upon how you were really the best at handling the football in your entire neighborhood.  Yes, you thought to yourself—a pro-football player, that is exactly what I am going to be.  And then you mapped out the road, you buckled down for the long, very long, hard, bumpy, mountainous road to becoming a pro-football player.  You also told yourself, I might not make it but I will give it all my best, my everything and make a total commitment, there are no short cuts or internet special magical magicians that can really make me do—what I have to do.  And you knew it would be years of training, years of disappointment and years of really difficult and treacherously hard work that you would have to put out first, before any sort of gratification could or would come your way.

So, what is the difference between that and wanting to be a good or a great baccarat player?  What?  You can buy a $99.00 pre-packaged secret system on the internet from Doctor Nine and learn the secrets to making millions in the same time it takes to cook a frozen pizza after you send the money?  Or, heck—what about joining an elite circle of special and secretive professional baccarat players on a website that humiliates almost all new members into joining a monthly pay-for-membership of exclusive multi-millions dollar pro baccarat gamblers that claim they found the holy-grail and developed a tangible plan to wager to make millions or at least a comfortable living?  Okay, sure thing bro.

Okay, onwards and to the guts and the 'points'.

Learn and be conscious of 'Eternal Panic', and 'Internal Panic'.  Adjust and steer clear of both.  When you cannot, stop wagering.

Learn and be totally and consistently conscious of, 'Resetting and Refreshing'.

Recognize and honor each and every 'Moment of Truths'.

Do not subscribe to, 'Hail Marys' and 'All Ins' and 'Going For It' as real wagering advantage or knowledge.

Define out and do not ever get influenced by 'sheer luck', similar to the Hail Marys, All Ins and Going for It, style of winning.

Learn and define what emotions can do and will do to your frame-of-mind and blocking the reality that will be your biggest friend, advantage and reason you can actually think clear and apply what needs to be applied to allow you to win and walk away a winner from playing.

Realize there is no reason to ever 'Vow Revenge' on the game, the casino, a dealer or anything involved with your losses.

Learn that there is no inverting your losses or lack of capitalizing on something for any reason whatsoever.  Learn you cannot and will not apply your own false ideology to those negative or other situations where you did not do what you said or wanted to do, for any reason whatsoever.

Learn to be completely neutral, which is super hard to do.  Find something to compare your losses or lost opportunities to, such as—the time you cut your own hair and it was bad.  All you ever said to yourself was, 'It will grow right back—no big deal' and it did and you were okay and nothing really ever happened.  Anything, but find something that really happened where at first it was the 'end of the world' and it fixed itself within a short period of time.  Use that within yourself to counter-balance the negative outcome or missed opportunities you truly missed because of your own reasoning or thoughts.

Realize, convince yourself, build into your brain as second nature, live by it and abide by it 100% of your play time, that—it is mathematically, statistically, physically and literally impossible to stay and maintain a continual wagering session only cut short by your desperate need to sleep or take a break.  In other words, the shorter the winning or losing session is, the greater you will profit or be able to recoup losses will be, with time on your side allowing the resetting and refreshing period to work.

Realize, convince yourself, build into your brain as second nature, live by it and abide by it 100% of your play time, that—everything has win/loss and neutral distributions that you cannot 100% determine and produce, but you can 'control' and 'govern'.

Realize, convince yourself, build into your brain as second nature, live by it and abide by it 100% of your play time, that—you have to define, realize and staying within reality while playing baccarat, 100% of the time no matter what happens or what is caused by anyone or anything during the cause of winning, losing or pushing your money back and forth.

Realize, convince yourself, build into your brain as second nature, live by it and abide by it 100% of your play time, that—you have to be totally conscious of all of your losses and wins and convert those into useful strategy and knowledge you literally make tangible, using them as guidelines to continue, leave and manage your playing funds and time.

Realize, convince yourself, build into your brain as second nature, live by it and abide by it 100% of your play time, that you have to have some sort of money management system and you have to literally and physically allow it to govern your winning or losing with something, such as or similar to the 1/3rd-1/3rd-1/3rd system I use and have explained in detail.  Regardless of what you decide on, the system has to allow you to continue playing if you are winning and as well, the same exact system, has to define at what point you stop playing if you are losing.

Finally, realize, convince yourself, build into your brain as second nature, live by it and abide by it 100% of your play time, what my term and definition of 'resetting & refreshing' is and how it works.  Yes, I said this twice now--because, IMO and experience it is the single most important thing that can help you in huge tangible and intangible ways.

Once you do all that, your game will change for the better and you begin your move from 'player of a game' to 'winner playing baccarat'.
My Blog within BetSelection Board: https://betselection.cc/index.php?board=250.0

Played well over 36,951 shoes of baccarat since I started playing at B&M USA casinos.

THE PURPOSE OF GAMING IS TO WIN!

"Don't say it's a winning hand until you are getting paid for it".

Played numerous properties in Las Vegas, Reno, Southern California, Atlantic City, Connecticut, South Florida, The South/Southeast as well as most areas of The Midwest.

Baccarat, actually a mixture of Watergate, attacking the Gotti Family and the famous ear biting Tyson fight leading to disqualification and a near riot.  Bac has all that & more.
