I would like to clarify something here for those that take time to read anything I post.

Reference Bankrolls and Buy-In's:

Bankrolls.  I have a certain amount that at times will fluctuate for a 'Bankroll'.  That amount is what I would generally bring to an out-of-state casino property when I travel several times a year.  Such as Las Vegas or Southern California, etc.  I do not bring my Bankroll to any of the local casino properties I play at weekly, etc. 

Buy-In's Locally.  I do play locally the past 2 years or so.  I didn't play locally much prior to 2014, perhaps a time or two every few months.  The amount I bring for a buy-in to the local properties has nothing to do with my bankroll or savings or other funds, allocated or not for gaming.  The total buy-in is well under my larger venue, longer stay bankroll by huge amounts.  That is where some of the postings with $500.00/$800.00 or $1,000.00 or $2,000.00 buy-in's come from.  If I lose I leave, period. 

Why the difference in chip value and play styles??  Good question, for those that have not figured it out, the local places are few and far in-between, no casino hoping.  As well, the table limits.  Additionally and most important, is the lack of players and their styles and in-fighting at the table.  There are no high-limit rooms where I am at.

I know many of you have one bankroll and strive and live to maintain that and increase that.  I do not.  I never have.  I have a regular income for 2 sources that I would replace funds if I lost at a casino property. 

There is another member that has chosen to dedicate himself to spreading fallacies about my bankrolls and what he claims I play with at current.  Although there is no ladder of success here on the boards or in gambling, to each our own, no??  However, with his persistence previously here and now on another board, I just wanted to post this as my side. 

Most talk in 'units' to avoid the pitfalls I ran into with this.  However, Since I was not a systematic and/or mechanical system player, programmer, author of how to beat the casinos, etc., etc., I started on other boards in the Trip Report threads and usually carried that style over.  There are so many at the tables larger than myself and likewise, smaller.  It's all good, either way. 

I choose to post this if it is of any interest to anyone to figure things out.

I guess maybe an analogy is best here. 

For those of you into outdoor sports and competition would fit best.  It is beautiful to scuba dive in the Cayman Islands and stay at a beach side resort for a week at a time.  But one can only get away so many times a year to accomplish that.  The local lake or waterways have to suffice for a couple hours here and there for the remainder of the time.
