Here I would like to share my preparation berore playing this game.

Hope other will share their too.

1. I wouldn't set my mind to a certain BS method. I open up my mind and say to my self
"a method will work sometime and won't the other time."
"a method will work sometime and won't the other time"
"a method will work sometime and won't the other time"
.... And keep going and going and going, even in the middle of the shoe. Especially on losing streaks.

2. I realize that my first bet ( I prefer labeling it "attempt" ) won't always right. There WILL be the 2nd, the 3rd, the 4 th attempt and so on and so on. When I lost for the first time, I asked my self, "When will you try the 2nd ? The next hand, or the next 2,3,4 hand ?"

And also another question "Will you try the same BS? Are you sure?"

And then "How much will you bet for this time? 2x ? The same amount?"

3. Try to maximize on winning streaks and not to bet bigger on losing streaks. For positive prog. I used 1-2-2 and restart again. For neg prog rather subjective. It could be the same, or x time the initial bet.

4. Have a faith that EVERY shoe has it own bias / patterns / phenomena. It could be the FLD/OLD/TBL/OTBL/Dr.Tom's/Alvin's/5D/Derived roads/Chops/Streaks and so on.....

And realizing that NOTHING will last forever.

5. Trust more in my feeling.

6. At some point,

If I already up, will I continue? Knowing that you could give it all back or win some more.

If I lose, I prefer to change table and swallow the lost. Before play the new one, light a Mrlboro and try to lower the emotion. Usually for 10-15 min.

Well, that from me.

How about you guys? Looking forward for yours.

Thx

If you are looking for answers at the bottom of the shoe it would be late already...
''For after all what is man in nature?
A nothing in relation to infinity, all in relation to nothing, a central point between nothing and all and infinitely far from understanding either.
The ends of things and their beginnings are impregnably concealed from him in an impenetrable secret.
He is equally incapable of seeing the nothingness out of which he was drawn and the infinite in which he is engulfed.'' B.Pascal

Your point about the method may not work every time is a valid point!

This is something that most players fail to remind themselves. No two shoes are ever going to be alike.

The only exception to this rule is that if you have a fixed method or system of playing, then go look for a table that is playing out the pattern you are looking for. So if you like to play Banker only, then look for Bankers dominated shoe. Then wait for player to hit and play opposite.

I think most of us with experience playing can safely win if you have discipline, patience and goal. Once we hit our goal and leave, we will be a winner over time. If you lose and stop the loss and walk away also, we can always go back and win again if we have the bankroll.

One more thing ...

Part of the preparation that I find useful is ALWAYS to observe the game before you start your first bet.

Observe the flow and watch the momentum of the game.

If you watch a group playing and they are getting their bets right for two or more, then there is something that they know or doing right. Follow the group.

Sometimes if you watch a streak that is starting to gain momentum, you will notice the cards are 'smooth'. E.g. 10 and 4 .... next card drawn is 5.  Or keeping Natural 9s or 8s. These are great cards and you will feel lucky and easy to win. Once you catch this momentum , you are sure to make some money, even if its flat betting.

Thanks Jerry!

Nothing glamorous, but good to see "rules" in one place.

Min 10.000, Max 1.000.000!

Let's play!

Does waiting and watching 3-5 hands of a shoe you start to look at before first bet make sense?

Make sense. But it's very subjective. Some might consider it's usefull and some other think it's useless.

Players leave all of the time, but I posted this because I have never seen any casino staff including floor managers and dealers adversely payout chips in order to facilitate bigger bets.  If anything, I see consistent payout of smaller chips (change provided).  Chips do run out though, but if a player really is being left short handed, they can get chips from a nearby table.   I did that with $1 chips last night to a midi next to us, and I didn't care one bit because it is the dealers responsibility to be well stocked.

If they are sweeping chips and pushing out larger denominations to coerce larger bets then that it pretty shady.
Back already?   :))

You seem like a smart guy and you certainly got a lot of confidence in your own perspective - as jaded as it may be. . . .You watch too many movies, IMO.

Maybe you visit a casino that is hard up for cash and devious in their intention to confuse players and force them to bet more than they want - push them to make a bet rather than wait, etc.   Who knows?  Hollywood in PA has a $300 max bet which says they can't stand the heat.  Their dealers seem to be a little rough and push you along.  Small dips h i t house.  So I guess it can happen.

But in any decent casino the scenarios you suggest above are, well, unintelligent.  Dealers color up the bets to keep their tray going so they don't have to get a fill and. . . some like to color up to make it easier on them and easier for the eye in the sky.  Most dealers want you to win (tips) and most floor critters are pretty friendly.  It's good for business.

Except for some small change casinos don't generally take chips from another table.  Why?  It messes up monitoring the all important hold.

The job of the floor is to prevent cheating and mistakes by the dealer and to monitor where the larger chips are going.
