Psych of Winning at Baccarat

If you think baccarat is all bet placement decisions and that is it, think again—it is clearly not.  If you choose to only think about and concentrate on wagering and you do not think about or devote any other energy and thought to your psych or acceptance of the outcomes, you are hurting yourself in the ability to win at the game you are playing.

Winning at the game of baccarat takes three things. 

1)    Your bank roll or Buy-in;
2)    The wagering thought process;
3)    Your acceptance of the outcome.

Most people will probably say they agree with me on the first two things.  But you know, if you really just sit down and think about it, the third one is really the key to the wins.  Because, how you accept it is up to you and a huge influencing factor on how you will continue to wager.  Something like, 'if you can't see clearly and you are aggravated—you will not wager properly'.  What I am referring to is the two threads I posted on this board yesterday.  Those were, "Testing your wagering systems idea" and also, "Baccarat placement systems and only betting on something".  If you read those and merge those into this point—you might understand where I am coming from with #3.

The highest majority of people that lose can attribute their losing and coming up short on one or more of the 3 items above.  And most of the time #'s 2 and 3 are the culprits.  In regards to #2 so many will believe in and follow negative progression wagering when they are losing.  IMO, which is the single largest detrimental action a player can employ.  I would convert to flat wager from positive progressions in the lean and bad wagering hands, but so many will ruthlessly stick with sudden death and creating themselves a psych nightmare of negative progressions.  By the way, negative progression resembles porn on paper, but in reality—negative progressions are more like disease and death when played in a casino. 

Back to the dynamics of a good baccarat shoe that you have your psych straight and are relaxed, confident and accepting the outcomes without the situation of losses or wins-playing on your mind.  Positive progressions is the fastest way to get you to somewhere you probably want to be at with your bank roll or buy-in.  Coupled with good money management that will allow you to continue playing while reserving portions of your win, will serve you with rock solid ammunition to play comfortably and confidently. 

I say this because, the idea is to win something that fuels your ammunition and stay on the right of your bank roll, not the left.  I am referring to the right side of zero '0' not left side, as in the negative side. If you cannot sit there and gamble on the right side of '0', you will find yourself tumbling down the path you do not want to be on, time after time after time.

When you play this game, no matter what you want to believe or not—you are always wagering against something, the shoe-the player next to you-the time before when you remember the same sequence, whatever-something.  This is your 'game', meaning-how you play it--your style, as most of us call it.  If it works, so be it.  But if you don't have the 3 elements I outlined above, you will lose.  And your psych is a vital and very important piece of the win puzzle that will plague the vast majority of most gamblers for a long time.

Just remember, you win a little bit slowly and lose a lot fast.
