Title: Skills Vs Luck???
Post by: Qswaggerstupid18 on November 23, 2016, 03:09:05 PM
I've been wanting to ask this question for the LONGEST ...!!! Ok my best winning streak ever is 14 hands in a row!!.... all flat betting.... Ok, can you say the system I use is luck or some sort of skills... I mean me personally don't believe in LUCK!!... but  I also thought if I flipped a coin 14 times, I HIGHLY DOUBT I WILL BE CORRECT 14 TIMES IN A ROW, without some type of skill!!... what did I experienced at the time!!??... I prefer someone who have great knowledge in this game to answer!!?? Thanks

Let me ask you a few questions please.

When did you recognize that you were in a win streak? Was it at the middle or was it at or near the end?

The luck is being at a table with a progression you connect with, but it is skill to place the next bets and selecting correctly despite a number of signals most likely saying the opposite should happen.  Unless it is a very long dragon, jumping, two's, three's that you happen to hop on early and you play until it breaks - and it doesn't for quite a while.

My recommendation is to use a multiple attacking MM. You use low bets while you probe for win streaks. On a first bet, attacking bet that is, use two parallel bets. One bet is three or four times the base bets (doubled). The other is the same size too. You go all in sort of on that next bet. You want to win your first attacking bet. The next bet you half both attacking bet's results on the win.

Example: $5 for probing bets per hand. Then when you see a streak forming, on the next bet, you bet (($15 times 2) times 2) = $60. So that $5 times 3 = $15, times two bets instead of just one, doubled.

On a win, you get $60 for all that trouble. You now try to go on a free ride for the win streak. So on one side you have $30 that will continue to be flat bet at $30. You just keep reaping from that $30s on every win until it ends.

The other $30 goes into a positive parlay that reaps a little and grows a little as you keep winning. I recommend a four to seven step positive parlay that you can create for just this purpose. I would let the first step of the parlay ride up to the next hand before starting to do partial take offs. If you can reach a seven step parlay, then take it all and just keep riding the $30 flat bets until it all ends.

You can make logical changes to the recommended amounts to suit your taste.

Have fun with those win streaks.

I believe that luck and skill intertwine more than you sometime think. The luck-factor will always be there, but the more you learn about the game and strategies, the more skill-factor will come into play.

Here is how life works. You marry the the girl of your dreams but you come to realize that you are smarter than this unintelligent girl that believes your BS. You then question your own judgment and suspect for a brief moment that your wife is smarter than you are. Then you make this monstrous mistake and run a test skit to see if you are right. From this you then discover that you should have not run that skit. You are confused by the reality that you can't see the way to go any longer. So you fall back on the dream. You are lost in the reality that anything can happen now and you don't mind it anyway, no matter the outcome. So you commit to seeing the future at full price. You want to see the streak of happiness. You can't see beyond the next ten minutes. That's why stuff happens to people that need stuff to happen to them. They don't have experience.

Thanks,

That was a metaphor. Not my actual life. I was just trying to symbolize what the difference between expectation and wishful thinking is like.

Luck happens from time to time. But, skill strikes all the time.

Luck strike at a very moment when you feel down to earth. Skills is when your so good at playing it. But even if your skillfull enough but the other one is lucky then your skill will be no match with his luck.
