The first one is small and from the 1970's.  If you are new to playing, skip it, you probably won't get much from it and won't believe the content anyway.  If you are experienced at the game, I highly recommend this great short work of reality baccarat for refreshing quips and a kind of self insuring aspect to what and how the game acts to B&M gamblers, etc.

The second one is a great piece of work.  Lots and lots of sections on ideas, theories, strategies and tips.  Seriously highly, highly recommend.  A serious baccarat player will find plenty of things to research and expend upon within this book.  Well worth the price many times over!  Highly recommend!!!

I have and read no less than 40 books on baccarat and gambling.  The highest majority are junk being written by some self-proclaimed expert that won a few hands and thought to write a book full of things that probably will never happen or he clearly copied from elsewhere.  These two books for the serious baccarat player will give you some good tips and insights.

I totally agree with you. Now there are almost no good books about gambling. Basically, we have to learn everything from our own experience, since very few people really want to share working strategies, since in this case they will lose most of the profit. Let's start with the fact that now it is difficult to even find a really high-quality casino. To find bitcoincasino.org I had to spend almost a month, as well as a fairly large amount of money. It's cool that now there are forums where players can share their reviews and opinions about various projects. This really helps a lot!

If anyone is interested, Mason Malmuth, author of the second book,  also runs the biggest poker forum at:

https://www.twoplustwo.com/

And NO...I am not Mason Malmuth and....... No..... I done get a commission for posting his web site.

These are probably good books. I haven't read them yet and will probably make an effort to do so now that you mentioned them. However, I don't understand why anyone who knows how to win would even bother to write a book? There is so much more money to be made in just playing the game than writing a book. Moreover, why would you want to disclose all your winning strategies for the public and especially the casinos to see?

alrelax

Reference what CT70 said above:

I don't think it's a point of knowing how to win, I think it's more of a point of understanding how to win or understanding what winning is about.

But I understand that you also have to understand losing. Because you cannot win without losing. Experienced players, without inventing or trying to imagine a system in a series of scheduled wagers and they ignore everything else going on so mechanically wagering according to a schedule and turning that into a material item to sell is something I don't endorse or engage in.

As well, time is your greatest enemy in the casino and being able to apply what you know and feel and desire to wager upon and not being deviated from that in any way, shape or form. Time will do that in any and all sessions, taking away your advantage of winning and being able to hold your winnings or be able to capitalize on your winnings. Two totally different and very vital things in a person's play.  Personally I do think writing a book or publication or writing on forums to be a sort of self rationalization and time-consuming hobby that helps people understand themselves and communicate with others. The problem is the drama, the ridicule and the humiliation others bring into it, therefore the fights and the arguments start and turn most forums into wrestling rinks.

But there are publications out there in every field that have been written by authors that have experienced through an extensive period of time within the same subject and desired to express themselves for many reasons.

As far as a casino getting a hold of the publications and reading them and changing their games, I don't think it'll ever happen in the game of Baccarat. It might have happened with Blackjack and counting cards but that's an entirely different subject that was exposed in many different ways through many different media channels. The way the games are today in the casino there is no way a publication is going to change the way that they are dealt and offered.

The Baccarat book by Tommy Renzoni was a waste of money. This book was more of a story book than a baccarat book. This book talks more about how the game was introduced to Las Vegas. Does anyone really care about that?
There is no mention of bet selection which in my opinion is the most important topic next to money management. It just has a bunch of stories not much else.

Gambling Theory(Mason Malmuth)

One of my favorite quotes by Malmuth: "...Serious gamblers makes the most of it when he has the best of it..."

This is what all gamblers, no matter what their game, should constantly be striving for.

Malmuth writes in a dry style as if a college math textbook(similar to how  college math instructors instruct) so not an easy relaxing read with heroic/massive wins stories often seen in gambling books.

Malmuth writes for the serious gambler/ spends alot of pages discussing SD, Variance, Required bankroll for players that gamble for a living, budgeting, risk of ruin,....etc. Several formulas worth reviewing from time to time.

Mostly written for poker-type games though can be generalized to most games.

I read some time ago/ still review certain formulas /appendix a couple times a year. My version was early 2000s "I think" so he may have later versions and other publications since then.

*Worth the money IMO

Malmuth books are very good readings indeed.

My two favorites:

-Playing Baccarat as a business

Actually it's not a book, just a bunch of photocopies.
It appears authors know about baccarat a lot more than written here, imo the book deserves several readings.

- Extra Stuff: Gambling Ramblings by Peter Griffin

The book is old but the author is aknowledged as one of the best gambling expert ever.
There is no baccarat material besides some basic aspects of probability, anyway many important gambling topics are brilliantly exposed.

Hi KFB!

The guys writing this book (and one more was written) are among the best baccarat minds ever encountered in the history of this game.
They've spotted the F-7 side bets vulnerability well before Jacobson did.

Baccarat was invented in Italy but definitely solved in Asia.

Hi AsymBacGuy

Im still searching for the (Playing Baccarat as a business) book. Nothing on amzn or eb. In my searches I did discover the vast number of books(various gambling et al topics)  that Malmuth has published. I knew he published alot on poker, however, I wasn't aware of the multitude on other topics.

     Define solved.  :)

"Solved"= exploiting consistently baccarat flaws

The few bac professionals I'm aware of are all asians. And probably the worst baccarat players are asians too.

About the book: you are right, it seems it's not available anymore, I'll try to do something to get you a copy.
