Mars Rocks

Well after new Australian laws that stops reputable casinos from taking Australian customers I'm looking around for a casino that I can still trust.  I found this...
It goes for a while and I only watched the first 8 minutes, but not giving me great hope any more.
The main skills I use to beat the casino are ignorance and confidence, it amazingly works just like Mark Twain said it would.

Show me a happy loser and I'll show you a loser!

Mars is the God of War btw, and I'm at war with the casino.

I have never played on-line and never will.  However, stuck with me for many years are some individuals that i met in Atlantic City from the Caribbean that held their governmental casino licenses for on-line operation, etc.  They repeatedly told me that they would never lose and had numerous ways to technically beat their players.  They were real legit operators in their own country and had a substantial amount of capital invested in their physical location, their equipment and operation.

I do not discount or endorse any of them, I guess there are good and bad in most all businesses.  Except I would never and could never risk money blindly with no real way to check the other end as well as put my hands back on my funds immediately.  As long as you don't get caught you are legal and 'not doing anything wrong', of course.  But in gambling, the way out is always the same, "the customer is a sore loser', or 'the customer doesn't know what he is talking about'.

You know what is real ironic and almost comical, but sad--is say you wrote a gambling systems book or sold a gambling system.  The system really doesn't work with any kind of real consistency, but is a system nonetheless.  All one has to do is blame the reader/customer/purchaser of the system for not using it the right way or being too greedy or failing anything else that the author/seller can dream up.  It is happening as we speak, outside of Bet-Selection and right here within Bet-Selection as well!

There are normally a few giveaway clues to the reputation of the casino.

Take this one for instance....betonline! Nowhere on the opening page does it give you their license number or tell you what jurisdiction they come under. That would have to be the biggest red flag for a start because it's unlikely you will get paid out any of your winnings!

Askgamblers or CasinoMeister have a pretty thorough list of the reputable ones out there. I prefer the askgamblers site myself because they have customer reviews under each casino review.

How do you know where the customer reviews are actually coming from?  I have not looked and i am not challenging their legitimacy.  When I look to spend money on 'real' merchandise, meaning thousands of dollars I would certainly investigate. I am not necessarily talking about a $5.00 product.  However, when I hiring out and subcontract business, say out of state which i also do, I may need to go blindly to Google and find a company similar to mine.  When I look at everyone of their websites, I have never ever found customers stating legal problems, bad reviews and concerns that cost the hiring company money.  I only see on the websites, "Great company, they are the best" by Mark O., New York City, or "This is the best and easiest company to work with, I will give them all my jobs in their area" by, Jack L, Los Angeles, CA.  However, Yelp, the BBB and many other websites hold different stories.  But as far as reviews and critique posted on someone's website, how do we know where those came from?

It is always the first name or the first name and only the first initial of the last name and sometimes the city they are supposedly from.  To me, those are always from the website company.  Otherwise they would contain the whole contact with a verifiable phone number or company name, etc.

Alrelax, you soon get an overall picture after doing a bit of research. The bad ones get slated on most of the different sites. So if you tend to find that one particular casino doesn't generally get much bad publicity, then it's one you can add to your list. Even on saying that, what I normally do is make a small deposit and then play for a few days and make a withdrawal. Depending on the speed of the verification/withdrawal process and the attitude/professionalism of the customer service reps will determine if I play there in future. It's not all plain sailing online for sure. Nothing beats going to a B+M casino where you know you are going to get paid out there and then should you be lucky enough to win.

cheers

I guess it is my New York attitude, see it believe it, pay for it and take it.  Not the internet aura of, i will send it and hopefully i will get it and hopefully it is what i wanted, the same color, condition, style and brand i ordered, etc., etc., and all and every variation of that culture that came about since the early 2000's.

You may be and are probably 100% correct.  Just I look at a guy that works for me, half my age.  Always buying everything on the internet.  Brags and brags about all the money he saves.  However, he fails to brag and tell me repeatedly about the lost shipments, the spoiled shipments, the wrong shipment or two out of 100 that breaks him even, and all the other things that go wrong or happen because he wants to save $3.75 on a $50.00 item.  A few bad deals and he is sitting exactly the same as buying at Wal Mart, Target and places like Costco and other large stores.

Yeah the luck and/or skill factor has to be there in a B&M but the same with the on-line.  Just the back end stuff is entirely another world.  I just don't trust it, never did.  But there might be numerous and the bulk of the on-line casinos being great-above board, etc.  Just the same as the guy that works for me shopping for everything on the internet.  What happens when a player hits that snag in the road, wins XYZ $ at one and gets it ripped off at the other??

I want to reach across the counter and be able to grab someone.  I want to stand at the counter yell and scream.  I want to be able to go to the local and state authorities.  I want to be able to go to the court and file a suit or a criminal complaint.  I want to see the owner in the parking lot when e closes his store.  Etc.

Sure I have been CTR'd, STR'd and everything in between.  But only because I failed to file or have the proper paperwork completed prior to the transactions.  But, I have never ever been denied a cash out from a casino for anything, nothing.  I have never ever saw a casino (B&M in the USA) cheating or committing criminal wrong doing.  I have seen dealers physically taking into custody on the gaming floor for things they have done or sting operations.  But again, I have never been denied cashing out or getting something I paid for.  The only one problem I had was at Wynn in Las Vegas a few years ago with a well known player on another message board or two.  We used to play together frequently in Vegas.  I was at one casino and he was at The Wynn.  I went there and depositing $20,000.00 front money cash at the high-limit cashier right adjacent to the baccarat tables.  When i went to the table and asked for the withdrawal in chips the pit floor guy said i had no record or deposit of a transaction.  I gave him the slip and about 20-30 mins later he gave me the chips i asked for.  Meanwhile, my buddy advanced me $10,000 in chips to play.  Every other casino, known or not would have released most if not all the money in chips that was on the receipt just printed and signed by the high limit private cage minutes earlier.  But it was handled and handled poorly, but not criminally or anything of the like.  I played until the pit manager get it resolved and then i cashed out and left.  Then there was additional problems at the private cashier cage attempting to cash out the chips I had possession of.  It was terrible and the worst service ever.  And no, they were not attempting to keep me there, that was not it, they had technical problem with their own computer system,  I have, hundreds of times, done the same thing--deposit money and then immediately withdraw at the table.  Never once a problem.  When the tables are busy to sit down and lay out $10k, $20k, $30k etc., or more, is time consuming and people get very upset at the table.  That is why I usually deposit it and pull it a=out as a marker at the table.   But like I said, i was never ever denied a cash out or anything of the like anywhere in the USA at a B&M and I would have to estimate i played at over 60 properties easily over the years.
