I have mentioned it several times.  Cut down on the nightly trips.  Everyone I know that gambles nearly every night or even 4 to 5 nights a week are just looking to give back any winnings and then get in that chasing status.

1 or 2 nights a week,  stash the wins and remove them from the bankrolls,  completely reset, and play without knowledge off the wins,

Did okay on the shoe last nite with the nearly 50 players and 22 banks,  sitting home watching tv and cooking shows all night about bbq,  phone goes off,  my casino buddy that won good last night,  yep, he gave it all back, pissed, depressed and chased to get it back.  Lost all his repeated buy ins trying,

Although I have never played as a living, every day (outside of numerous (countless) trips to Vegas or a rare extended trip while living in the northeast, say to Atlantic City or 1 of the 2 largest casinos anywhere in Connecticut, I generally know what happens.  And for many reasons, but the strongest against the player is the player's 'frame-of-mind' and his psych, etc.  Getting a win for almost all players (I am not referring to a $100-$300 type of 'daily bread', I am talking about the multi thousands and up, just fuels the highest percentage of all players beyond comprehension and their inability to revert--reset--and stay at their same plateau.  That normally happens the same shoe or the following shoe/same night, but so often the next night or the same week, etc.

Players might understand the game but they totally fail to understand and stay conscious of their plateaus and their psych frame-of-mind and that is why almost 99% of the losing time, what caused it.  Not a bad shoe or anything of the like.

Maybe percent return is the best benchmark.  If you are one who can really hit it out of the park, breaks and forced sessions at much lower bet sizes may be good checks.  A huge problem with a lot of hours playing is that your sense of danger and even the sense of opportunity gets reduced.

It is also very easy to tack on a lot of time to talk with players, dealers, staff, etc. and hang out after playing.

Huge infliction to the player's downside and negative deficient outcome to his buy-in, virtually each and every time.

Some of my biggest wins came fast and hard.  Most of my biggest losses came with time at the tables, way too much time playing.

Only ourselves can govern when we come and go, with how long we actually play.  Problem is, we tend to force things and desire things that can not happen.

No matter what, it pays to have outside interests.  I am set to get proficient in certain foreign languages so I can improve foreign and domestic relations.

My wife has yelled and screamed at the kids and myself in multiple languages, besides English, Laos-Vie and some Cambodian.  Then there is the X whcih was Korean.  So I am pretty well versed for picking out the insults, the complaining and the cussing.

Best one was at Mohegan Sun back a few years ago.  Behind one of the all common at the time, the 14 seat original bac tables, was the floor person, in this case a woman.  They stand right there behind you to rate, watch and control the game.  Anyway, the female next to me was one of those that was wagering only against everyone.  We all were on a pretty good roll and that female to my side gets the shoe.  She is dealing the cards and she was wagering big on the Players side.  We were all on the Bankers pretty much.  She flopped something good either a 7 or an 8.  Then we flopped an 8  or a 9.  She cussed at us in Southeast Asian, I think it was Viet, if i recall now, if not it was Laos.  I know exactly what she said and I said 'Mother F* you too', of course the female floor person was oblivious to what the Viet cuss out was and when she heard mine, she went ballistic and told me I had to stop playing.  Everyone stood up on our side except the female player that cussed me out in Viet) and told the floor person what the lady said.  Wound up to be a big scene and the casino manager was called and it was all straightened out.  LOL, such fun playing at times!

Yes.  I feel pretty bad because I have been unwinding for a good amount after lately or we are really screwing around and then another player goes on a big negative progression or counters a developing trend and they get slammed.  Literally can happen anytime to anyone if you don't play tight.

But pretty much it is so open.  There are players and even staff noting certain things that are way out there.  The house is mostly watching out for confrontational things.  I saw one player last night get super pissed at a floor manager, but not sure why.  Another apparently was inquired about on mistaken chips which can be a very bad situation.  Been a while for player on player altercations.

*** The best thing (which I am required to work on) is some of the nastiest players have been invited to act properly and damn if they don't.  They are some of the best and most well mannered now because they realized that if they want the opportunity to continue, they need to get along with everyone.  And they were very nasty before.   I just always look over and see Bro 1 and Bro 2, etc. just playing the game with 100 focus.  More of the ones that are there every time I am and way more.  Very pleasing actually.

I have a lot of work to do and a short leash, but I am working to be as professional as possible as opposed to jumping in when trouble starts.

Thanks! - I have heard of it and will check.  For now playing as most of the Pacific Rim is repped, Google Translate, watching soap operas on YouTube, and waiting for this:

Also want, want, want a Shazam app for Asian music, but it's DJ mixes so even QQ Music isn't picking it up and I can't read Chinese.

Back to subject, maybe 2-3++ nights a week NOT playing.  If you want 3 to not miss, definitely suggest rolling Friday through Sunday.  And maybe outside activities that are much different can be good or something similar.  Depends.
