Gold Coast, Palace Station, Rio, Orleans.  As far as high limit; Caesars my favorite, followed by Mirage.  Others are spotty depending on their crowd, but so much personalities, ego's, and fake players mid strip the majority of the time.  Call me-easier to explain.

Speaking about HS pits and in contrast to my buddy Al I'll avoid Ceasar's. Unfriendly dealers, bad comps, small action compared to other revenues (meaning you have to bet almost every hand otherwise you'll fall asleep). Excellent bathrooms though. :-)

Try Bellagio: good action, good comps, excellent choice of rare drinks. Also there's a good passage of cute girls on the corridors, just in case you are interested.....ok this is not the point.

But imo the best is the Venetian.
Excellent comps, very nice dealers.
Cons: very loud environment coming from the craps pits and most of the tables are placed too close to walking people.
For unknown reasons Venetian casino tend to produce the most unbelievable streaks ever seen in years of frequenting Vegas.

Besides HS rooms and from a strict playing point of view, Palms and Palace Station are among my favorites.

Caesar's depends on who is playing there as far as the ego-personality and mentality of the others, true.  I have never had problems with the floor people (employees).  As far as Venetian, I don't like it over there, just can't get into it at their property, but that's me personally.  Bellagio, also hit and miss, but great people there, but their downside is when it is heavy and crowded their pit personnel are extremely short tempered, IMO.  Great bathrooms and private snack center going into the private rooms corridor their, right to the right side of the H.L. only private cashier station.

Heaviest player action (amount of players, lots of Asians) is at Palace Station 1st and Gold Coast 2md, IMO most of the time.  I was super surprised at the experience of the personnel and their friendliness at the Orleans when I was there a couple of weeks ago, 8 tables and almost all going early and into the evenings.

Back to Caesar's, I am 7 Stars and had a great high ranking host there, but we had a huge fight over Asian New Year's and my Planet Hollywood host got us a large suite there that time and the C.P. host freaked out because of that and lots of ill feelings now.

But I found a huge difference in playing off-strip in with a more relaxed and fun atmospheres and not so money stressed out and 'have to' be a big shot that the mid strip places will install on most players, etc.!!!!

Back to the Orleans.  As I posted some pictures in my trip report a few weeks ago, the Orleans is way up there in my book for all-around action on bac now.  Great plus sides are the ease of conveniences.  Their cafĂ© is just off the Asian pit floor within maybe 50 big steps away or so.  Not the best but good all around $5 to $10 food, etc.  Also, four huge bars if you just want to go sit and drink and play some VP or something.  Small uncrowded food court with a great Fuddruckers, a Shbaro Pizza place and something else like an ice cream place or something I forget, not too far away.  Big AL's Oyster bar supposed to be really good but did not eat there.  Check it out and lots of players with bac, more of a mixed crowd than the other places, IMO.

OK, so started with 30k at bellagio in high limit room. was up a few k, then down about 5k. high bet was 2k. ended up playing nearly 3 hours and made a few bucks. couldnt get anything at all going...

then went to cosmo about 930pm played 300 minimum till 130am, lost about 1100. same thing, up a few k down a few k, was super tired, called it a day...

friday played at aria for the 1st time. loved the casino. high roller room for bacc was 500-1k minimum, problem was out of 5-6 tables, 2 were reserved, 1 had 0 players, and the 2 other tables had 1 player each. one guy betting 20k a hand had few hundred k in front of him, watched for a few minutes, didn't seem so great. decided to go out on the main floor, played 100 minimum. lost 2k in a matter of the 1st 10 ten hands. then up and down up and down, ended up losing 2k. walked out to double deck blackjack lost 1k i think i lost 8-10 bets. incredible!

walked back to cosmo and bet 4k on a late night baseball game (jays) and that won 5-0 thanksfully. got me my aria money back. saturday, i barely played, just played sports and broke even. so all in all lost maybe 1100-1200 gambling.

attached is the jays ticket. i walk the talk. i play bigger than most. what's that mean? nothing! but I don't tell stories like others on here and provide 0 proof...

Thanks for the update.  Mid Strip casinos as of a couple of years ago are strictly a joke.  Most of the better players gravitated to off strip properties and the ones left are either very new to the game or super high rollers, meaning multiple $100k bank rolls.  They do not take to camaraderie very well and in most all cases, lose there winnings because they will stay playing countless hours.  Seen it repeatedly over the past couple of years.

I was a regular mid strip Bellagio/Mirage/CP/PH/TI, etc. and this is what happened to them all.  A combination of things, from corporate policies regarding host comps to the player issue I tried to outline.

Last couple of trips I played relatively small compared to my previous and play only a handful of hands, most of my trip was business each time for my pending legal affairs there.  But, all in all, I had a better time off-strip by far.

I understand 100% and kind of knew you would run into the player problem you just outlined.  Too bad you didn't try Orleans, Palace Station, Gold Coast, etc.  Shame for the mid strip properties but the old school bac is pretty much gone from those, unless you get a group of players together and make your own game!!!!!  Then it would be on.
