Visual Following SIGHT

Adaptation & Involution

Defining and bringing into consciousness numerous things to allow you the best frame-of-mind, is difficult with all the happenings, events and influential things that usually go on at a casino and at the baccarat tables.

However, you must be consciousness of the emotional attributes to events and separate them from your wager decision.  No matter if that is with the shoe presentments itself or the other players around you.   Not easy to do when at the casino.  Easy to say on here, but not at live play.  I say this, because the emotional influence and the lack of extreme clear mind and wagering with complete consciousness, each wager, is very difficult to continuously do.

Without going into the mechanical and decision-making process, with the comparison of both and trying to rely on something that countless players seek, which is that elusive and scheduled wager that will prevail much better than 50% of the time.  Of course, we will pick our own triggers that we do subconsciously or automatically, or those that we rationalize out and pick with extreme consciousness and clear reasoning.

Either way, there will be the Visual aspect to all of this.  It all starts there, with the visual observance of something.  So, in all essence you are allowing yourself to be influenced by things that are not directly influenced by the events.  Meaning, your sight will first observe something and then your emotions will send that very same thing to your brain, then a decision is made in one fashion or the other concerning that thing.  Wager with it, against it, sit it out, etc., because you were influenced somehow with the event that just took place.  But, the thing most of us forgets, is that you will be wagering for the subsequent presentment waiting to happen, not the one or ones that just happened.

Played well over 36,951 shoes of baccarat since I started playing at B&M USA casinos.

THE PURPOSE OF GAMING IS TO WIN!

"Don't say it's a winning hand until you are getting paid for it".

Played numerous properties in Las Vegas, Reno, Southern California, Atlantic City, Connecticut, South Florida, The South/Southeast as well as most areas of The Midwest.

Baccarat, actually a mixture of Watergate, attacking the Gotti Family and the famous ear biting Tyson fight leading to disqualification and a near riot.  Bac has all that & more.

Involution?  Honestly, Al, I had to look that up!  This is pretty deep stuff!  After that word I had to read the whole post.  And I'll tell you without any sarcasm it makes a lot of sense.  Particularly for the addicted gambler and/or player who exists in the casino primarily for the ACTION!

Maybe a simpler way of saying is we must be mindful of how the act produces dopamine which creates a euphoric condition that can be detrimental to decision making?  Of course the sounds, temperature, colors, lighting, personnel, etc. are all deliberate elements invoked by the casinos to produce an altered reality.

Maybe this old adage a pro told me years ago sums it up: "You got to decide whether you want to win money or play a game."

Jim I thought I seen it all after playing pretty steadily from 1980s on I thought I seen it all. I seen something last night at a  Midwest Casino.

Just exemplifies the stupidity and how addicting a casino can be and what it's all about and believe me I have a daughter that was 14 years at Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood Florida that went to the top of the  employment chain there, now she's a vice president with the largest slot machine manufacturer the world in Las Vegas and she's a Senior Vice-President there.   She's told me stories, I wrote about this. I have other members that worked at three major casinos in Atlantic City for 20 years each mostly in the host marketing department and as well I played there for many years when I lived in New York City and Jersey.

And I've spent a lot of time in Las Vegas as well but I'll tell you I will write about it. I'm just waking up and I'm telling you the stupidity is unbelievable and obvious usually only to those that have played a long time, IMO.

Such power that can rob you blind!   I wish I seen it years ago I would have had Millions put away but I'm just a regular person. Huge money to me in a Midwest casino with a table limits of $25 to 5000 would be winning $20,000 to $100,000 is huge money in my book. In Atlantic City I've seen people win hundreds of thousands of dollars very commonly on a regular basis and I've seen people lose it as well!  I'm not talking about Millions.  It is very hard to do even in Las Vegas out of 300 or $500 minimum to $25,000 table limits to win more than a couple hundred thousand dollars and that is rare in many ways.   And I say when I mean Cash Out, walk out with it,  I don't mean sitting there playing two different books which I mean two different stories winning it and walking away with it.

And walking away with it seldom happens.  I don't care who says what on the internet I've witnessed it. Give me a few hours we're getting some rain and ice here in the Midwest and I have to go out and do a couple things at the office and shop and I'll be back after lunch I will write about what happened last night in  detail in this thread because I think I've stumbled onto something here that will clarify lots of the unknown details. Thanks
