I posted this last month, but have since read about others mentioning how they observe most players winning and then giving back their winnings and buy-ins/bankrolls, etc.

Here is my take on it, which is a bit deeper but maybe spot-on????  Just maybe.

When using a compounding-unit method, it is wise to let it run for as much as possible to engorge the unit-size. Since you lock a % of won units, it makes sense.

On regular (non-compounding) methods, I agree: the most advisable thing is to stop at the win goal. You are supposed to have made your homework to calculate the win-goal according to your method's limits hence the most advisable is to stick to it :)
