The 10 Things That Generally Always Exists in Systems and the Search for the Holy-Grail in Gambling

Use of vague, exaggerated and the 'discovery' of something that happens sporadically.

•   Assertion of mathematical and/or research claims that are vague rather than precise, and that lack specific measurements that will repeat with definitive consistency;
•   Assertion of a claim with little or no explanatory power.  Meaning, something the author or the advisor pulls from that 'maybe-maybe not' proverbial space, Also known as: 'Thin-Air';
•   Failure to make use of operational definitions (Definitions of the variables, terms, or objects of interest so that persons other than the definer can measure or test them independently and produce the same exact results);
•   Use of obscurantist language, and use of apparently technical jargon in an effort to give claims the superficial trappings of expertise and mathematical proven precision;
•   Lack of boundary conditions: Most well-supported mathematical theories possess well-articulated limitations under which the predicted phenomena do and do not apply. But the author/researcher throws in numerous disclosures and 'maybe' situations to protect himself when his theories prove worthless;
•   Lack of effective controls, such as the equivalent to a placebo and double-blind, in experimental design testing to remove any and all psychological and/or luck from adding false credibility to the author/researchers claims;
•   Lack of understanding of basic and established variations that the game has, to most players in general;
•   Observational selection—also called the enumeration of favorable circumstances, counting the hits and forgetting the misses;
•    Statistics of small number— Example: They say, "1 out of 5 Chinese people is Chinese".  How is this possible?  I know hundreds of people, and only a handful of them are Chinese.  Or, "I've thrown three 7's in a row.  Tonight I can't lose";
•    Misunderstanding of the nature of statistics—discovering that half or less than half of something happens or exists.  Does not give any greater chance or exposing or capturing the other side at any given time.  But, the author/researcher turns the tables around and uses it to suck in the gullible and the desperate to sell his wares and an established and proven system.

I left one out, I could have made it 11, but I like the sound of 10 better.  It actually fits a chapter in a book with '10' lists, etc.

* There is a unique gambling systems brotherhood that has something largely in common, which is the absence of a certified and unbiased third party verification, certified audit and responsible independent party to verify the definitive claims and findings by the author/researcher.

And I am referring to a commercial entity that is licensed and permitted as well as vetted with insurance and governmental regulatory oversight.  Such as those labs, auditors and CPA firms that audits and certifies, claims--products and research in the pharmaceutical as well as the financial fields.  Not some friend or convenient clone named, 'Zeke Largehand' or Susie 'Q', etc.
