Maybe not to allow posts (topics) to be removed (deleted) by author1 hour or so, after publishing?
In our new web engine we're solving this with a public history
, so messages are actually hidden
, not deleted.
The messages are
taken out of the post but they can be checked by anyone from history
log. I'm trying to set-up a diff page where people can compare thread versions easily.
(P.S. I don't want to give a date of completion because development is currently "powered by my eyecups", i.e. I'm doing it after my work-day is over. Hopefully
as we launch our new paid software we get sponsored coding hours during the day to accelerate development
And maybe to open section where members can put products for sale or offer services?
There's a NO SELLING ALLOWED on BetSelection.cc
rule planned, close to the header.
Completing our new web engine is paramount for making the next step/iteration happen. Once the new engine is completed, a spin-off site comes to light: BetForum.cc
The gist of it being to have a single (shared) database while giving every member their own sub-forum for them to make whatever they wish of it: <member
This way members can set their own rules for their spaces, choose who can participate, promote products, et cetera. It's truly their personal space.
By separating the sites' concerns, we can have a very focused study website here (a true "Bet Selection" site) while the regular chit-chat and other discussion takes place under member spaces over there. Each one in control of their own "crib".
Thanks Vic for taking care of this place!
Thanks to you
