A mission statement for the forum?

The forum needs for a mission statement not to go there aimlessly. Often the purpose of a site can be deduced implicitly or explicitly but at the moment it seems to go very adrift to me.

Many of us have already passed the stage of discussing any system without merit. What now?

I would like to know if there is a mission statement for the forum. Do we have a set course for the community so it can be beneficial to all?

I am not planning to go it's just a question I ask. I hope there is a set position. If there is it would be good to hear.

Please receive many good wishes for longevity.

You present  a good case for such a statement.

I certainly agree most of our members are seasoned enough to not wanting to discuss the Martingale and its many variations over and over and over.

The inane study of the same losing methods over and over doesn't serve for anything. The staff certainly need to sit down and ponder about the destiny of the forum. In which direction do we want to take the community towards? What is our Raison d'être?

In the past, it would have been clear: "a roulette systems forum", now I don't share with such fatuous lines. My personal view is this community should lead synergistic efforts towards assisting each other to win, not merely "lose less".

...or keep trying until you're broke...  LOL

Jokes aside, in which ways should (or could) this forum be different to others?

[They all tend to blend into each other after a while, don't they?  Same old; same old.]

So what can we be doing that's DIFFERENT?  That sets it apart?

What will this forum offer that others don't?  [Software is one thing that quickly comes to mind. Coding services is another. More besides?]

Don't forget me.

I can't, easily code my intuition, my ability to react to constantly changing conditions. I can make clunky, slow reacting software that acts on basic characteristics of randomness. Randomness is readable. It definitely experiences sequences of extreme opportunity. Because there are so many types of opportunity, it's much better to handle it as the subject of a human exercise, and much less the enterprise of intelligent machines.  I know this because I'm very good at the human approach, and not half bad at the machine side of this.

There is a strong commercial principle where it is seen desirable to offer 'a point of difference', a unique slice of experience, world view, that can provide a pathway forward for those who are searching for something worthwhile.

It may be that a study of randomness, random outcomes; some 'core', some ideas, that offer real insights and a way through the mists and difficult 'terrain', these could spark a leap forward.

Perhaps a thread on this subject could be started.

An opportunity for some genuine teamwork to encourage more understanding, and access to important previous research, writing and texts.

Sometimes also, as well as detailed and specific work, there can be discussion in principle, of principles, to encourage a wider expansion of ideas; say a series of potentially fruitful lines of study and some ideas expressed brain-storming - without fear of criticism.

Also some practical support and comment on live play common problems and how to face and overcome these.

Lastly, to set aside personal agendas, and simply to contribute to a larger, new view, a journey.

Responding to the fluctuations within randomness may be such a course. To do something here, that has not been done or attempted elsewhere.

The collective good will, camaraderie, and mutual support within this Forum may be an ideal environment for such a start, and bring forth the 'synergy' invited.

Just thinking out loud here after reading the original message but has anyone noticed a complete lack of new members showing up?

It's not just here, but in most of the niche forums, I'm not seeing anybody new logging in and posting.

Perhaps the masses just gravitate to the "mega-sites" and are content to be there instead of a more specialized forum, such as this one.   If you go to the mega-sites, they may have roulette and baccarat sections, but are generally underused and receive very few posts.

Being a roulette specific forum does have its good points as long as all areas of the game are covered AND you can get the participation of all users.   Some specialize in numbers.  Others play the felt.  AirBall, RNG and system testing are all legitimate areas of discussion to somebody!

Taking up ADulay's points - yes, I've noticed that, too.

I wonder if the situation here might improve once there is a clearly defined and prominently displayed mission statement, so prospective members can discern the advantages of membership.

Which leads me to speculate that now guests can see just about everything, then what advantage is there to joining?

There's got to be a notion of "adding value" somewhere along the line.

Does that happen here? If not, then what (and how) could it be introduced? (Maybe explore that in a separate thread?)

Thanks friends for your participation and support. This forum is part of our ways and it would be good to know where we are headed.

About registration I think the only way to make the guests to register is by restricting what they can see. It can be set for the downloads. Maybe new software exclusively for members so the guests do not see it and become motivated to register.

There should be no opposition because we are not denying anything to the person only to register to enjoy more benefits.

With the new registrations it can come new discussion. I think we are kind people who are pleased to interact. Even if we do not win the random games we won in friendship and sincere camaraderie which is worth more.
