If I'm repeating myself, ignore this, I'm talking to myself. After so much playing/testing, playing/testing etc....... I feel 100%, you have to have rotating bets.
Meaning, NOT sticking with the same numbers until "such-n-such" happens.

In my opinion, 1-3 consecutive spins of the same numbers (2-4 numbers max), if no hit, move on. You can keep the SAME reasons (style) for the next bets but different numbers and all flat betting.

This thread is not about WHAT or WHY to bet, its more about, how long to bet it. Also, I am not stating, don't bet those numbers again in the session, just saying, don't sit around and WAIT for your numbers to hit. Only my viewpoint fellas.

Without a decent bet selection and the proper roulette experience, you don't have success, you have a hobby. There is no "Auto Re-bet" button in the ACTUAL world of roulette. Its B&M or take up stamp collecting. Don't let my honesty offend you. Haters will always hate. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent. ((If you're not already a genius, don't bother with roulette. The world needs plenty of ditch diggers))

Very interesting one here Ken. Thanks for bringing it to the fore.

My "golden limit" to stick with a bet is one cycle, based on location's raw payout. i.e. (dozen/column: 3 spins, streets: 12 spins, straight-ups: 36 spins).

Whatever the location, this "one cycle rule" should be respected in my opinion.

I too have learned sticking with bets stubbornly because "they must show" isn't optimal.

A) They mustn't show, they might show, which is entirely different.

B) It is better acknowledging the concentration/dispersion game roulette is; if your game style/methods demands it, you should keep your bets on when they are confirming a concentration of hits. All the other betting should be of the "throw your net and see" kind.

If there's nothing in the cycle, withdraw from them.

...Stubbornness doesn't pay in this game, especially during the times your hits are disperse.

Cheers!

I am with the very few numbers bet group.

I'm sort of in-between on the how long to stick with it.  Individual numbers I will hang with for 8-16 spins at this point for most of the methods I play.

But I will use progressions both negative and positive.  Flat betting is fine.  But I would rather lose some bigger money occassionally to make decent returns for the much larger portion of the time.

Just the way I play...works for me and my mindset
