His book has nothing that wins a random session. I simulated this and know this from very beginning. Unless a method can face harsh cases, it will only lose, in long run. Betting this or that doesn't help in itself. Every bet is proportionally good and bad.

Weird book.  Obviously a joke.

I find it weird indeed that someone writes that a life's work is a joke. What sort of cynical view is that? Let's be clear the book even by the author's own definition and in its final edition 2012 still had numerous editorial detail errors which have been acknowledged and actually were identified and corrected by the author. This was done through some very patient work by Bayes on the old BetForum.cc site, and Martin Blakey acknowledged that he really should have employed an Editor and he stated Bayes would have been ideal. Two missed opportunities there for a fourth edition!

However the book is an interesting read and was intended to be an introduction to a way of seeing roulette that required discipline, patience and several skills. On those counts the book succeeds in my view and I have had copies ever since the first edition, nearly 25 years.

It is not a joke, and was not intended as such, and many became interested in the game through it. To be critical it fell short of its potential, but then show me any other book on roulette, that can not also be criticised for falling short. They all do at some point because no one is going to publish all the secrets of a life's work so just anyone can follow. Life does not unfold like that.

We all have to make our own efforts, and in all fields of life, the more you engage and put in, you know and you will find that you will receive more, by way of help, success, and satisfaction ( happiness). It is simple in that regard and how many times we say it, many will not hear.

However persevere and genuinely make an effort and you will be helped. It is a life principle. Life is inter-active!

So with roulette and Martin Blakey, you have a very private and skilled mathematician, who over 40 years played much the same way, ie target of 16 numbers ( a tipping point in efficiency), but who constantly sought to refine and intensify his success.

The facts are he was very successful and through private correspondence I have had ( take my word for this please) and now the kind participation of Jason, who was one of Martin's private students, who then became a serious player at the same table at Crown Casino, so that detail insight into the true way that MB played is being shown.

It is not easy, it requires intense focus, experience patience and discipline, and a smart personal timing of money management.

It would be foolish and naive to expect a straight line set of guides to win all the time using this approach. That is not the reality. Instead it requires well practiced judgment based on skill, and application of specialised knowledge with an eye to particular movements overlaid with the aforesaid patience and discipline.

I suspect that is not the answer most would want. Too hard for most.

So there we are Rinzler, not weird, but real, where yes you have to encounter and deal with loss sometimes, and it is a daily struggle, contest, battle where sometimes a little easier, sometimes harder, sometimes impossible. That's the truth.

Also not a joke.

In recent times Dr Blakey looked to refine his strategies with greater bet efficiency, such as shorter session duration, and less risk bank exposure. This was told me by Martin himself, and we have it now in detail confirmation thanks to the kind efforts of Jason Chan. A lot had to do with effective money management as well and the stop/go signals MB devised are powerful but need iron discipline. Note the observations though by Jason and Gizmotron - there is further refinement available.

Be aware this approach by Dr Blakey is only one of various ways forward. He demonstrated however it is possible to win consistently because he kept impeccable records over 40 years. Please respect that.  It is most unfortunate he has had to take a lot of ill -informed criticism - but those who break previous assumptions or limits often have to pay that price.

There are other ways also of course , but all will encounter stress and loss at times, but know that this is a worthwhile and true effort.

I don't enjoy playing roulette enough nor do I have the time to sit at a table for hours and hours on end.  That limits the systems I'm willing to play.  I'm looking for the system that will change my mind.
