Here is a tad bit of my AC days from Bally's Grand and The Grand, the perpetual name changing property on the southern most end of the strip. 

Sucks today with the majority of the players with their heads on the hands and every once in a while coming up to put a finger on one side of their nose-closing one nostril and blowing the snot out of their nose on the floor, while seated at the mini table, yes they do that.

There used to be huge camaraderie and games in AC and up in CT at M. Sun and Foxwoods, but it mostly went away around 2010 or so.  The last few times I was there, mostly players with their heads in the hands playing for the cut on repeating runs every hand and then wagering for the repeat when it is making chop-chop.  Unfortunate but true.  Have not been back for a little while, but doubt much has changed?

Completely different play, IMO the games todays in some of the larger high limit rooms at the larger casinos have the camaraderie and action NOW the amount of times that they used to be dead, say prior to 2005 or so.  A complete reversal. 

Sure there is still action at times, but no where near the regular excitement, action, good players, etc.  If you want the head down in the hands and the players that block one nostril and blow their snot on the floor, sure---no problem---they are present and there.
