The Almighty Casino Zombie Pit Personnel, Second to None! 

The zombie pit personnel's wedding picture, spattered with her blood, kept him company when he sat at home waiting for his next casino shift to be pestered by grumpy and pissed off players asking for casino comps of some type. Of course, after a five year investigation, the local police department could never find the body of the zombie's missing wife.  The setting in plague now confined him to his home except for the six, 12 hour days at the casino in the role as floor person, and one look out the window showed him a staggering, shifting army of half-rotted people, their once pristine clothing now tattered and dust stained.  He choose to live in the rear of the trailer park in the most run down section of town.  He was not very well liked except by a hand full of old ladies and of course, Sexy Susie, the town's aging hooker that charged only $5.00 for every 5 minuets, was his most treasured moments. 

Although the Zombie's life was reduced to only the shifts he worked at the local casino and a little treasured secret of pulling zombie clown pranks, he was a strange individual by most people's opinions that met him.

Already, Waldo had read every book in the house, from the 'Details and Methods of Global Effect' to 'How to Screw a Hooker and Get The Most Bang for the Buck'. With the state of things in the country, the television and radio hadn't been airing entertainment in months. But he seemed to live for the early 3:30 AM Saturday talk show which was on the AM radio.  It was entitled, "How to deal with a female's worst problem, yeast build up'. Rations were low. Morale non-existent in the town, everyone worked in or around the casino and after work, they all played the machine or gambled at the tables.  Those that worked at the casino would just go change clothes and then return to the bars on the casino property.  Waldo missed holding his wife the most, the press of her warm flesh, the smell of lavender in her hair mixed with the casino smoke where she sat all day playing the penny slot machines.  Only one time Waldo caught her in the high limit slot room and she was sitting on the lap of the young town stud, 'Bob Beefy'.  Strange, the very next day she came up missing and that was five years ago. 

When he was home he sat in the same chair kept his rifle a thirty aught six that he once felled a doe with, in happier days braced across his knees. When he was home he never did anything else except sit there and stare at the picture of his missing wife.

As much as he tried to avoid it, the sounds of her shuffling, her moaning, kept him awake most nights. Waldo's cries were merely ambient noises, harrowing in their desperation, comforting in their reliability.

His grip tightened on the stock of the rifle.  Thousands of times the thought of giving Beefy Bob what he is rightfully deserved raced through his mind.  Waldo called weekly to the local police department and always told them the same thing, "Hey when are you guys going to arrest and jail Beefy Bob who murdered my precious wife"?

Gone now.  Waldo realized he was alone when he was not in his beloved casino position of floor person. 

Waldo, most nights stopped at the local gas station to get his supper to go when he got off shift at the casino.  It never changed,  two slices of the frozen pepperoni pizza, an Almond Joy candy bar and two chocolate milks and a thing of tic-tacs.   And, that is where Beefy Bob worked. Beefy Bob made the pizzas, carefully taking them out of the freezer, unwrapping them and putting them into the pizza oven.  Every once in a while if no one was looking, Beefy Bob would blow snot from his nose onto the slices of pizza Waldo asked for.  Waldo would stand there and stare at him and Beefy Bob would say the same thing, every night, "heard from her yet Waldo"?  Outside the gas station c-store Waldo would always just ponder for a few minutes before getting in his car to leave, it would tempt him.  Crossing Waldo's mind, thousands of times, he easily pictured Beefy Bob with his arms and legs and male member cut off.

Before she came up missing everyone said that they were soul mates, he promised her he would love her in sickness and in health, through better or worse, until death do they part. What was her current condition other than then missing? Only Waldo truly knows.

When he was home his hand hesitated on the doorknob to the side room, the butt of the gun tucked up against his shoulder. Trembling, the cold knob became slippery in his hands. He missed her smile, the annoying way she embraced every morning, and the feather light touch of her hand in his when they slept.

Taking the gun, he shuffled toward the living room to the sounds of her fingernails scraping against the door, trying desperately to make a meal of him.  He was delusional at times and often he thought she was still there.  He even calls the casino at times and has her paged.  Other times he stares out the window from his chair expecting Beefy Bob to attempt a break in or something else in his mind. 

He flipped on the small, hand-cranked radio that he scavenged from his trip to Wal-Mart. Mostly, he found static, but occasionally, he would find dire warnings, instructions on how to meet up with authorities, and news on the collapse of the infrastructure that had protected them all for so long that used to be  part of the large warehousing complex that existed before the casino was built in the town.

Never did they talk about a cure for getting the town back to normal and ridding it of all the zombies.  There was problems but most grew accustomed to the way of life they were reduced to.

Every day, he listened in the hope that a new clinic would open with a miracle cure for the town. Yet the news never mentioned an antidote. It certainly mentioned research by the local community college, but never a success plan being developed.

Waldo picked up the blood splattered wedding photo while the dire news crackled over the radio. Right before she came up missing, when she was at her worst, the festering, dripping, gummy flesh of her bitten hand leaked gore throughout the house as she wandered, looking for comfort. Then she found this photo. And she looked at him, a look that begged him, helpless, drowning, knowing that she was beyond saving.  All he had to do was give her $20.00 to play the penny machine and she was a happy camper.  Of course Waldo, had the other zombie pit personnel comp her every day for meals and bar drinks.  Her favorite meal was the grilled cheese and Nestle quick strawberry milk.  She always had the food counter person pour maple syrup on top and round up some grapefruit slices to put on the sandwich also, weird but you have to take into consideration the type of people these are.

She was 'walking God' to the zombie floor person and a little secret not too many really know in the town.  Waldo never had sex with anyone besides his wife and Sexy Susie, the town's hooker.  Waldo never said anything, she was the only one he ever respected. 

That was the day she went to the high limit room and was spotted by Waldo, sitting and grinding her 70 year old booty into Beefy Bob.

Waldo often wonders, what went wrong. He always gave her the $20.00, comps and he religiously took his little blue Viagra pills.  Husbands were supposed to protect, to keep their wives from harm, to provide all that she needed to live a decent, happy life. That is all he ever wanted.

Taking up his weapon, Waldo walked the narrow hallway to the side room. He heard a clawing at the door and it increased in intensity, sounding like the rapid scurrying of a mouse behind a wall. He pushed the entrance open and stepped in, not bothering to close it behind him.

The gun firmly in his hands.

Outside, the sound of other unfortunate souls suddenly became clearer, and each one seemed to have a separate cry. No other sounds came to him, the great machinery of modern life ground down to what most would say was inhuman suffering.

There she was, or what remained of her, stood in the center of the room, her body as slim as she had always been, now framed in the sights of his rifle.  She smiled and simply said, Waldo I love you but Beefy Bob raped me and I just could face you, I lived behind the casino for the past 5 years.

Tears streamed down his face, and his wife's head quirked to the side, as if not understanding a question he asked. Then she came at him, arms extended, ruined nails still showing chipped red polish, her lips pulled back to reveal gore encrusted yellow teeth.

I love you, he told the approaching missing wife he loved so much.  As he lowered his gun he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her, smelling the grilled cheese he knew without a doubt his life was back to normal. Only one thing was running through his mind, should he keep the old G-string of hers in his jacket pocket or put them away.

He embraced her, closing his eyes, remembering the happiness in that wedding photo, and the feel of her sharp teeth tearing into his neck did not bother him at all.  In fact, he kept a pair of her unwashed g-string panties in his casino jacket front pocket.  What for, heaven only knows, but he religiously wipes his hand on them just before giving the casino patron the valued comp slip he so painfully writes each and every shift repeatedly.  The zombie snickers and he observes repeatedly, the patron grabbing the slip, puts it in his pocket and then with the same hand rubs his nose or picks his teeth, every once in a while he catches a patron sniffing some strange aroma that suddenly got onto his fingers? I can personally assume it is Waldo's cheap entertainment skit that he seems to get a real chuckle over. 

That just might explain why the Zombie Pit Personnel always seem to be snickering off to the side while they scan and avoid casino patrons.

Lots to say, answering some PM's and addressing something someone else had posted.

These days there are primarily Midi or Macau Style and Mini baccarat tables.  The difference being, Midi/Macau the players handle the cards.  The Midi table is the successor of the original larger 14 seat/3 dealer baccarat tables where the shoe was placed with the player in seat #1 and then travelled counterclockwise around the table to each player, upon a player making a winning Players hand.  As long as the player made Banker hands, the shoe stayed with the particular player.

Generally, the house got smacked and smacked real hard on long/longer Banker streaks as compared to the Midi table of today. There are still some of the larger tables left at the bigger properties and they are always run with the players dealing the cards or the dealers, thereby making them large Midi tables.

Some players cannot stand the way people handle the cards.  In all essence and for the spirit of the game, most times it is to the players advantage.  If you don't like it and it messes with your thought process, play at the mini tables.  True 100%, no player can change the cards after they are dealt, a dead monkey with strings attached to it, would flip and flop the same cards once dealt. However, at times there are players that will return winning hands the highest majority of times and other players couldn't return a winning hand if the other side had a total of zero showing. Wager with the driver or against, based on how powerful or weak he or she is with the cards. Sounds strange and wacked out to those that never played Big Table or Midi style but it really does  boil down to that for so many.

I have considerably raised my wagers based upon another player's aura-actions and positive results in 'driving' at a Midi or a Big Table.  Under certain circumstances if the dealer was flipping/flopping such as in mini, I might not have wagered the other side, but I most certainly would not have wagered lots of the larger bets I had---when the camaraderie and the person was not doing the 'scene'. 

And there is either camaraderie or alienation here. Yes, a driver does not influence the cards/outcome WHATSOEVER, however and a huge however--the proper driver and the correct aura will influence wagers.  And with the 'music of the street' present, meaning-the sounds and the banter of the floor, the dealer, the pit personnel, the other players, the on-lookers, the cocktail waitress, and everything else around, the correct driver(s) can be an explosive 'pat on the back' and motivator.

And the passion---OMG!  Yes, absolute passion mixed with greed, desire and a bit of anger in most player's cases.  The good times-the bad times, that happen at the baccarat tables around the country, around the world.  For those of you who don't play baccarat or play only on-line, you will not relate or understand what really happens at the live Midi/Big Table baccarat tables anyway. 

The personalities, the actions, the shenanigans, the talk, the banter, the build ups and the let downs.  It's all there on a consistent basis, some nights are abundant with it all and others are lax.  But play on a regular basis and it will prevail. 

When a player that is 'driving' actually plays with his heart and soul and not to put on a 'show' he really does wind up putting on a 3 ring circus most times.  I am sorry to those that don't agree with the statement I just said or if I despised myself, however; I am only relaying this information and what actually happens.  I have tons of history with numerous gaming jurisdictions and I would just have to classify and say that, the Big Table bac days were the absolute best and far in every way--out does what happens with the majority of players and games at Midi tables today.  Mostly for two reasons.  The way so many players wager and believe in the 'cut' and their failure to play both sides, weak and strong.  Also, throw in the disbelief of 'what actually happens or can happen in playing baccarat'. 

There is no end to this thread.  I merely wanted to start something that addresses the game in overall view without the technical aspect of it.  Because in reality, there is a lot more going on than what the shoe produces!

One scenario.  Playing Midi, full table.  It was just chop-chop for numerous hands that followed a section of a few doubles and a couple of singles.  A tie and no Fortune 7's yet.  Around hand 25.  The 2nd shoe into the evening with most.  Last shoe nothing, everyone lost or is about even at best.  Yes, the last shoe and a quarter was pretty much unwinnable.  Meaning, whatever anyone thought or wagered on for whatever reason, it cut to the other side.  Happens at times.  Three Bankers just came out and the player driving wagered table max each time.  First hand everyone was on Players and players had a 6.  The sole player on Banker gets the cards and mumbles, '7 baby--7 baby, I need this please'.  He flops a monkey and says '3 sides'.  He turns the card long ways and starts the peel, real real slow.  The players all on the Players side are getting frustrated, baccarat at its best.  He slows down, puts the cigarette in his mouth and looks at the dealer.  Tell the dealer, 'a hundred for you if you gave me a 7 or an 8'.  He says no dot on it and turns it around.  Now it has been at least 45 seconds if not more.  Everyone is like come on bro let's go.  He starts the peel and then slams the 7 right side up. Now the second hand is coming out and half of the players are on Banker with the same driver and half are stuck in the 'cut' mode of thinking.  Once again the cards for the Player's side totals 0.  Bankers side returns 2.  Players side gets a card and the player driving says it a three line card.  Squeezes the heck out of the one side trying for an 8.  Turns the card and says maybe a 7, could be a six.  The other players are saying, don't matter we will win with a 6.  He flops a 6 after a few seconds.  Dealer slide the driver once again a card for the obnoxious driver.  I had $125.00 on Fortune 7 and the driver had $75.00 and most of the other players on Bankers had something on there and 1 player out of the Players side had a quarter up on the F7 as well.  Once again, the cigarette into his mouth, he looks around the table and says, '2 side-3 side no 8 and we are good huh'?  He takes a quick peek at the side and pops back up, '2 side baby, yes a 2 side--tie or hit the Fortune 7'.  He scoots his chair back and his chest is on the rail of the table.  I stand up and literally scream for a 5 and then say 5 for five thousand.  The floor person comes over.  The dealers at the next table are saying something about the nickel next to mine and the drivers' Fortune 7 wagers.  Says, 'looks like $410.00 if you gave that guy a 5'.  The dealers keep their own tips at this property.  The driver is taking his time and yes, everyone is quite except for me.  Then all of a sudden a female stands up and shouts, 'come the hell on' and mumbles something in Vietnamese that wasn't nice.  The driver stops for a second, looks at the female, looks at me, looks at the dealer, then he reaches across two spots and rubs the card on the number 5 seat number on the felt.  Rubs and rubs. Leaves it face down and tells the dealer, you turn it.  It is a 5.  Fortune 7.  Yes Baby!  Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.  The same driver goes on to make 4 more Bankers after that Fortune 7 hit.  wasn't a long run but a solid 6 and we are all good.  That's baccarat with a driver that can drive.

What so many fail to realize is the power of camaraderie coupled with the influence and the motivating factor of it.  Yes, at times it could work both ways but when it is positive and the table is flowing, it is much easier IMO and for so many I play with, to wager larger and win considerably more than at a mini table.  As I said, the passion-greed-high fiving-large wins-players driving with guts and flopping the cards making it all go our way.  It is the aura mixed in with the knowledge and conscious thought that we wagered on the person rather than the cards that makes this click in ways that are so hard to explain and define. When you see some of the players that really want to wager the opposite side that the great driver or the highest wagering player is not wagering, and then pulls his wager down and says, 'go ahead--I'm going to stay out'.  That is class-real class, no matter if the wager would have won or lost.  It is an unwritten move of sheer respect and class to do that.  Happens all the time.  On the other hand, if there is a person at the table that really feels like he has to wager the other side in that case, he normally would have the dealer flop the cards.  Again, a sign of that unwritten respect for the other players.

YOU.  You are the only person that can help you, period.

You can only win by knowing what you are really up against.

Players winning, is directly related to correct timing if the player is not wagering in a haphazard and off the hip fashion.

There are no mechanical systems that can always win, they simply do not exist.  People always have something to sell, trying to get everybody to be greedy and believe there is various ways to beat games of chance. 

Control and influence over your play, decision and wagering, is the absolute key.

Your technique effects the outcome of your wagers.

Dedicated practice, patience and willpower.  Those are the sound fundamentals.  The same as a school class, teaching sound fundamentals before going into the explanations of the subjects.

If you are going to pay good money to take a class or buy a system, etc., make sure that it is not fiction.  There are plenty of hucksters, cons and scammers selling a system of fantasy, confusion and baffling ideas that convince the player---"Hey, wait a minute, this is the Holy Grail that I have been looking for". 

People unfairly attack writers for writing and wanting to express their ideas, findings and thoughts, no matter if they are correct or not.  That is a fact that, complicates the situation of finding what is fiction or non-fiction.

When you are gambling you want to win.  You ca not live in a fantasy world, where all you wager on and believe in or base your wagers off of, is fiction that has been written by some of our so-called 'experts' which are only snake oil salesman selling systems that cannot prevail.  I do not even want to entertain the drama of the on-going crazy worthless operas at most baccarat tables with the superstitions and karma and the self-proclaimed power players think they possess, having validity and substance that leads to winning decisions. Bull-stuff to the hundredth power!

You have to understand, survive and be able to interpret what is happening. Not trying to change the winning results to the system you were made to believe in.  You need a clear mind until the time presents itself that you can excel.

There will be good days and days.  With the proper knowledge, you will be able to stop in your bad days and also be ahead of the game.  Not self-destructing and depleting your bank roll.

Many players also are under the impression that they can influence the game/shoe.  They cannot.  Simply guessing right numerous times is your enemy, realize that.  You ca no t influence, ca not change any present or upcoming hand.  You have to have the ability and knowledge to read and understand the shoe, how it is presenting itself.  You have to have the wherewithal to wager along with it.  And that is probably the single biggest win-lose factor of the game of baccarat.

Most players are not focused on the results as they are presenting themselves.  They are focused on their attempt to predict and have the results conform to their expectations, which is really regressing away from the mean and influential observations misinterpreted.  This is what the casino, the hosts, the management of the properties count on.  The player ca not stay away from bad bets.  That is the exact and only reason the pens, the scorecards, the multi-thousand dollar scoreboards are bought and installed by the casino for your eyes.  They influence and they control you, once you learn that and use it to your advantage, you will become a more profitable player.

Another huge downfall most players have in baccarat is the spiritual and lack of focus and all the belief in extraordinary things a player concentrates on with the hopes to change the outcome of the shoe.  Well if those players would concentrate on learning the knowledge that, would benefit their decision making. Such as knowing probability, regression to the mean, influential observations, independent and dependent events, expected value and house edge, etc.  Those along with practiced willpower and patience, money management and progressions, would be extremely helpful to a player.  In short, forget the Voodoo and the ritual chants and gain the knowledge that leads to power. 

Mentioning money management and progressions, without the proper knowledge of how to incorporate those into your bankroll, your gambling chances of winning overall at baccarat are pretty far against you.  It is not easy and on the other hand, not impossible.  It just takes the desire to learn how to obtain the knowledge and use the power that knowledge can give you.

Learning is very important, knowledge is power.  Knowledge is all important, but it is not where actual power abides, it is being able to use the knowledge.  For a player to practice the willpower, the patience and the knowledge within his actions, each and every time.  It is not fun, it is not easy, and however it is paramount to winning the majority of your wagers.  That is where learning and practicing how to implement that knowledge will improve you. 

Few people have what it takes to rise from bad or so-so gambling to the level 'Advantaged Player'.  And there is nothing wrong, nothing illegal with being an 'Advantaged Player.'  Lots of people attempt card counting, dice control or influence, memorization of video poker strategies---only to find that it is work, hard work.  Attending seminars on 'Advantaged Play' will give you insight as to the skills, but learning those skills and putting them to work for you is entirely another matter.  On another hand, possibly you will find lots of the sales speech stuff and instead of doing just those things, you will do the opposite.  Maybe, HUH?  Learning comes in strange ways and at times we think we are not actually learning, we really just might be. 

Would anyone think that just attending a seminar on playing basketball or football makes one a pro player? NO!  Because you know that would take lots of years of hard work, learning, unlearning, trials and errors, spending time with the right people in the right places to have you learn-adapt and execute those vital key components to being someone that excels in something.  You have to rise above and beyond the average person and that too, is rare in today's atmosphere of instant everything.

So, I am ending this short speech with the very same opening line, YOU.  You are the only person that can help you, period!

I have a couple people in my family working at CP in Vegas,  as well I have played extensively baccarat there in the HL room over the years.  One of my favorite places until lately, where I am starting to find better conditions off-strip.  Anyway, my host brought this up from back in he early 90's.  BTW, I have always said, almost all gamblers will give it all back and then some.

With that said, again-welcome.

Total amazement, how 4 on this board claim to know everything about everyone member here.  At least 3 of the 4 claim I have lost millions of dollars and numerous other things while gambling.  They say it with conviction, knowledge, supposedly witnessing it, etc., etc. 

I have won lots of money in the past 3 plus decades and I have lost plenty of buy-in's as well.  It doesn't matter the total figure, either way.  I put it on my little son's life, I have never kept records more than an occasional W-2G from gambling wins (due to a few slot machine once in a while) or an occasional years 'Win=Loss' from a casino for tax purposes.  I have no cumulative figures or records, none.

It doesn't matter to me, I don't gamble for a living and I have no desire or time to maintain records.  I have enough problem doing that in the business world, where I have to.  It doesn't mean anything to me.

But like I said, 3 of the 4 members on this board will come on, write something and with 1,000,000% conviction attempt to degrade, humiliate and chastise myself.  Pretty much they are jealous, bored out of their own worthless and pitiful life's or they have nothing constructive whatsoever to write about.

I have said it before, a simple fix for those four would be just to simply skip what I write, post or blog about.  In my everyday life I do the same thing, we all do in some fashion or form anyways.  We don't answer a call, we don't return an email, we throw away some letters or advertisements without opening when the mail comes, we skip a TV channel, we don't buy a book because the author is a jerk-off, etc., and so on.  So these four members hate me so much with pure vengeance, the simple answer for their satisfaction would be to skip anything to do with myself.  But they don't and won't.  Sorry, not made up, that is a real and factual event around here.  LOL, to the max!

What makes these four people hell bent and take their valuable time out of their day to concoct, twist, turn, and partially fabricate their stories with such conviction and energy?  Out of my heart, I feel sorry for them, seriously. 

I cannot understand why people will continually devote their valuable time, resources and their self-admitted extreme knowledge and wisdom to topics they don't enjoy and/or find interesting, or likewise-the OP's author and stances. 

To me, life is just too short.  If I don't like the person or agree or find some reason for common ground-I rather just skip it or go the other way.  Especially on a message board such as this.

I truly get a better picture of the signs hanging in the physical world now, such as 'No Trespassing', 'Private-Stay Out' and 'Do Not Disturb'.  More so than before, I wholeheartedly understand those people hanging them now. 

Back a bit ago I used to be partners in a strip-bar in New Jersey.  Countless times I witnessed and saw almost each and every one coming.  Those that got sucker punched or had a glass pitcher whacked on the side of their heads by the people they butted into the conversation with and just couldn't take the advise giving to them, 'walk away'.

What ever happened to the old saying, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all"

Like someone going to great lengths to find a word a poster uses and then completely arbitrarily post something along the following, "Hey so and so, don't you know the word 'XYZ' is really supposed to be 'ABC', gheez what a dummy".  Kicker is: The word the poster attempting to belittle the OP about was actually used in the correct context!

Kind of reminds me about driving down the interstate between 75-80 mph just a tad bit above the speed limit.  The car behind, flashing its high beam lights and right up on my bumper.  Not a sole around.  Finally the car passes.  Gets back over in front of me.  About 2 miles down the road the car drops to 70 mph. 

I was standing outside in front of my house the other night.  Just got home, checked the mail and put garbage out for the following morning, etc.  The next door neighbor, whom is an elderly gentleman and not the favorite guy on the block---was outside side trying to start his lawn mower.  He is about a third paralyzed from when he was in the military and my other neighbors for some reason really don't much like him.  I had no problems with the guy since I have been living next to him.  I took his lawn mower from him, started it and mowed his lawn.  It is not huge and took about 20 min's from start to finish anyways.  When I finished, I saw two other neighbors standing there eyeballing me and talking amongst themselves.  Yeah right, whatever.

Something I don't understand.  Maybe never will.  Shy of anything mandated in school or a technical or college course, why would someone become upset and vengeful against an author?  Be it a book or even posting in a Blog on something as 'voluntary' and 'not mandated' reading, such as this forum?

It appears that another person on this board is so outraged at me, he feels the need to explain himself and vindicate his blasts, reasoning's, experience and hatred towards me.  Fine, all good.  In my heart, I still wish him the best of luck in his huge plays, tireless long repetitive hours, each and every day, while he plays his tens of thousands of shoes a year. 

I have stopped writing on here for a while for various reasons and one of them was the outright disrespect by others.  But hey, I still listen to my father that past away a while ago, something along the simple lines of, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything".  Although I am not perfect, I try to do that. 

If someone posts something on another thread and I really don't like it or really don't agree, I try not to get myself furious and worked up over it to ruin my day, which apparently happened to the other person on here.  However, someone that repeatedly comes into my 'room' and attempts to blast and berate and chastise, I rather they just stay away.  I rather not get involved with that person.  One would honestly think, if what I write is so upsetting to them, they would not even come by here?  But obviously not.

As far as coming back on here, Vic asked me too as well as several other members.  As far as memories, yes--a bit of my anecdotes, analogies and humor is derived from those and as well, cherished in certain ways.  Do I have a golden monkey, yes, absolutely!  I write what I have done, I write my thoughts and opinions based upon my experiences and actual play.  I write about locals and things and not the super technical about some kind of bet selection process based upon the test of 1,000,000 shoes dealt within a computer program and then inventing some 30 or greater progression to attempt to stay in the game while on horrible losing streaks. 

I was around the baccarat scene long before the movement of today with the Midi/Macau style tables and score boards and it was a much better game with lots more winners than today. I guess what I am trying to say, at least personally, I myself rather engage and talk to the trucker at the truck stop that has been driving since the 80's rather than the gentlemen that just started three years ago.  Time is valuable and nothing against the newbie whatsoever, just personally I like numerous experienced viewpoints rather than  hearing the mundane, 'he said and she said and I know everything' type of conversation.   

You know when I go to Vegas, I enjoy talking to the floor people at Caesar's Palace that has been working in Vegas since the 70's and 80's rather then the guy over at Aria that just graduated from college ad is trying to save up by dealing table games so he can open his computer store somewhere.  I rather speak to the 50 to 70 year old crowd playing at the tables and learn about some off strip wonderful family restaurant rather then the couple on a honeymoon at Cosmopolitan and hear about them eating at some unintelligent celebrity chef restaurant with overpriced food swimming in sauce where they had to wait 3 hours in line to get in so they could be rushed out. 

Libraries are full of books, if someone has such a burning desire that he has to read everything within the room, he will certainly find product that is not his liking and disagrees with, how one handles that is certainly reflective upon his person. I don't get into science fiction and certain other areas---so I just skip those books because I already know I will not enjoy them. 

One other thing, I have always-always-always had a career or owned a business.  I am proud of that and not that I envy or wish to be a full time professional (whatever professional really means in this case) gambler, I am not.  I run a business through my own choosing and gamble for various other reasons when I feel like.   I can only assume if you are a full-time 'professional' gambler when you read things on these boards you would be more apt to take them to heart and find no humor, entertainment or 'food for thought' from what you read.  Your mind frame would be only, looking for that holy grail and new avenues to finally beat the casino during those tens of thousands of hours you invest into your professional and technical work, sitting and waiting, within the casino.  I can only imagine the mind frame of a full time professional gambler.  Maybe, just maybe(?)< I got my answer as to why the flip flop and the chastising and rage.  A possible bad couple of days?  A bad week?  Lost everything?  I really would have to believe that or something along those lines as I have become the proverbial whipping boy for such a man of honor, accomplishment and misunderstood achievement. Think about it for a second, someone actually sits, looking at other players and all the while degrading and belittling them as worthless gamblers never learning the game or their own self worth.  Then at the end of this 'professional gamblers' day he retreats to his home and continues the berating and humiliating on his computer over the internet.  According to his own admissions, he has found the key to beating the casino at baccarat which is basically playing twenty or better shoes each and every day adding to the low count of 50,000 plus shoes he has already profitably played. The story goes on....and on.....and on....., let me take a break here I have to go take a walk outside the office to laugh rather hard. 

But, back to my original point.  If I pick up a book and skim through it and don't like for some reason, I don't buy it.  If I bought that book and start reading it and find it repulsive, untrue or perhaps a poor work of fiction that I am not entertained by, I put it down and move on.  I don't go picket the store or the authors hangout.  If someone comes in my room or on another thread and challenges me based on what he states is the absolute truth and I know it to be false or so unbelievable, I might or might not say something.  In the case that brought all this about, I believe the person truly enjoys picking a fight and trying to squash someone, when there is really no point whatsoever to the fight. 

We were playing back in July and the dealer with his unintelligent shenanigans got us really pissed.  Hey, when your Italian and from the Bronx, getting chastised by a 20 something year old dealer that doesn't even know the rules of the game----oh well, some will understand it and most won't.  Hell, I reached over and picked up the shoe and throw it in the middle of the pit.  Everyone clapped and high fived, it was worth it.  Yes, of course the floor person jumped up and down and screamed, literally for security and came over and stood over me in my face.  Called him a punk fag and grabbed my crotch (god it felt like I was back in the Bronx)!  30 days time out. LOL, another one for the books. 

I don't do the whole social media game.  But gotta love this story about it.  A Bail Bonds Fugitive Recovery Company posts a wanted poster of a black male who is wanted for drug charges and skips bond.  Okay the bounty hunter (probably watching too much Dog The Bounty Hunter) bangs on the door of an address in Phoenix, Arizona that was supposed to be where the fugitive was hiding out.  The tip came into the bail bonds company through its advertisement on its Facebook Page.  Now, the only problem is the address the bounty hunter and his 10 person posse went to......was the Chief of Police of Phoenix's Police Dept.!!!  And to boot he is white.  Comes outside his house after the bounty hunter bangs on the door, etc.  They all wind up going to jail plus the bounty hunter is a felon as well.  I wish there was a video of that one.  Got to love it, call up the bond company and give them the chief of police home address.

Okay, I do read your 'stuff'.  But here.  Any system would have to have a 'trigger' NO?  And, any systems would have to have that trigger based on something, NO?  Which would have to be past events?? NO?  Although I am no Dr. Spock or Eisenstein, you are basing your decisions on past performance and what has happened.  Although, I will give you, that the other sides or possible numbers have to eventually come up, you are still predicating and that is without certainty.  And that is my point.  No better than 21 year old pimple face Joey from California blowing his $250.00 birthday present his daddy gave him.

Within a post of the board--someone touched upon the game of Baccarat coming to Vegas from Cuba to the Sands Casino and Resort.  Well true and as the say-"Here's the rest of the story"........

I remember reading about that in the book, 'Fly on the Wall' by Dick Odessky.  Great book on history of Vegas and pretty easy reading for most.  Highly recommend it.  (however, there is no game strategy and systems to beat all the games so you might not be interested!)

....."Baccarat and its direct ancestor chemin de fer were unknown in Las Vegas until 1953, when a Broadway actress made her nightclub debut at the Sands Hotel shortly after it opened.  A world traveler and gambler who'd fallen in love with baccarat in European casinos, Tallulah Bankhead was upset when she couldn't find the game offered anywhere in Las Vegas.

Between and after her shows at the Sands, she'd usually walk next door to Luigi's Restaurant to relax,  There was only problem: Luigi's had no casino.  Tallulah continuously badgered Luigi to open a few tables at which she could play--especially a baccarat table. 

When Talullah was angry, the world knew about it.  Her voice could be best described as a loud rusty foghorn.  Luigi and his family determined that it would be easier to bring the game and go into the gambling business than to offend the first lady of Broadway and her many friends, who had also become excellent customers.  Back then, about all it took to get a gambling license was filling out some forms and presenting a couple of people in town who would vouch for your honesty.

Thus, when Talullah returned for her repeat appearance at the Sands later in the year, a baccarat table had been installed in Luigi's lounge area.  True to her word, Talulluh played there, at very high stakes, every night.  Her fans and admires took to the game as well.

One of Bankhead's closest friends was actress Marlene Dietrich, who lived in Beverly Hill's and came to Las Vegas during Bankhead's appearances. (She eventually signed her own contract to headline in the resort showrooms.)  Dietrich, too, was a baccarat player.  Both women were at the height of their fame and Luigi's suddenly became the favorite watering hole for many high rollers, who enjoyed being in the company of the two famous actresses.

The Sands, whose bodies were always alert for an emerging high-roller trend, opened its own baccarat table.  As operators of the first casino to deal the game, the bosses forever patted themselves on the back for "discovering" it.".......................
