Mild progression

I found this simple progression:

If I may say so straight upfront, even at the risk of apparent conceit, I consider my "Gr8Player's Progression" to be the absolute best and most efficient negative progression that I've ever seen. And, that's exactly what I had in mind when I designed it: efficiency. It's both mild enough to allow for your "variance" to correct itself, yet raises your unit sizes just enough for efficient recouping.

It's based upon a use of "7-series". Can't use my progression with 3, 5, or even 9; for the 7 works best. That's what the professional sports leagues use, the 7-game series. And it seems to work best here, as well. Seven seems "just right" to ascertain exactly "who's getting the best (or worst) of it", before one needs to make a bet-sizing "adjustments".

(Sidenote: I currently do not utilize this progression, but that's should not be viewed as anything against this MM method, as much as it is a reflection of just how far my Baccarat game/trending has come; I no longer feel the need for any "drawn out" negative progression for MY play.)

Onto the progression:

Starting at the 1-unit level (or, as I call it "1-ville"..."ville" because that's where you want to "live", in 1-ville, for we don't like to live in 3-, 4- or 5-ville) you remain there unless you lose by more than a -1. In other words, obviously any "plus" after the 7 bets and you remain; if you were to lose the series at 4 losses to 3 wins, so a -1, stay at the same level. If, however, you lose 5 and win only 2 (for a -3) or lose 6 and win only 1 (for a -5) or lose all 7 (for a -7), you move up to level 2.

Now, say you're at a -3 for the first level, and you move up to level 2, as soon as you are at a +2 in level two, you end that series and return to level one. For example:

-1 +1 -1 -1 +1 -1 -1 = -3 on to level 2:

+2 -2 +2 +2 = +4 now you're at a +1 for the group (-3 +4 = +1), go back to level 1 immediately.

You are ALWAYS seeking to return to "1-ville". I did not design this progression as an excuse to raise my bets; on the contrary, I designed it for it's EFFICIENCY in recouping and relative "mildness". So lower those bets as quickly as you can.


For selection method I like to bet repeat of last winning decision until 3 consecutive losses... After which I play opposite of last winning decision until 2 straight losses... then switch back to repeat again etc.. etc..

Whether you bust 1Ville, it puts you in an never ending cycle of having to significantly win more bets than you lose, hitting 50% won't cut it.

So you bust level 1, you need to win three more bets than you lose at level two (that is accepting a 1u deficit) or achieve three straight wins.

Bust level two, you need to in 4 more bets than you lose or achieve 4 straight wins, before you can step back, otherwise you hit the next level.     

Level 4, you must have dropped 21u in the previous level, therefore you need to win 5 times as many bets as which you lose, before stepping back and hoping for the same run of luck, I don't think I need to go further.

No surprise he admitted to not playing this way any more.

IMO while Baccarat is a MM game, you shouldn't place this much reliance on Bet Selection, as each decision is no better than coin flip. 


Not deliberately being a party pooper, just stating the way I see it.  If it looks appealing go try it by all means .

i use it on both bacc and roulette,,, but i do play more bacc now

I sometimes use 11111, 1.5, 1.5,1.5, 1.5, 1.5, 2222222, 3333333333333 until i get some wins and bail out then I reset, at some point  the table will comeback to you

So I am a 22 year old Customer Service Rep and I make 350 a week after taxes plus i have this nice side business that i make 400- 800 dollars a week off of. On average I would say I make 1000 dollars a week. For the last 5 months I have went in the casino 4x's a week at the very least. I have a goal of making 100-200 a day . Im in it for the slow grind I have no problem sitting there for 6 hours to make a little over $100. By the way I only live 4 minutes away from the casino. Exactly 1 year after I turned 21 I was down 16k. 5 months later which is today Im up 12k. So in total Im down 4k. ANYWAYS HERE IS HOW I've BEEN BETTING!
1. Walk around the tables, find a streak of 4 and bet $10 against the streak.
2. Win or Lose I won't bet again until I find another streak of 4.
3. NO betting back to back on the same table
4. $20 BET AFTER 1 LOSS
5. $50 BET AFTER 2 LOSS
6. After 3 losses Start from$10 again.

I know it takes forever but can someone tell me why my system is flawed??

Well, you may not like the answer but as usual, I was intrigued by your "idea" (not original but different enough to look at) so I pulled a random set of 25 shoes from my collection.  Actually these came from the latest book which conviently starts at #700 so we've got that going for us.

Assuming you would wager against the first display of a "4 streak" and then move on to the next shoe, here are the results.  Live shoes, no RNG or computer simulation.

As you can see, that streak of losing 8 in a row (the kiss of death to any Marty) can and will show up.

The only main difference now is that you're stretching out the time frame (and the wagering window) in an attempt to accommodate it.

If you are able to survive that type of losing streak then you should be OK.

Adulay ---the way I add that up is it was 15 wins and 16 losses with two blowouts included--not so bad as he says he is nibbling away to profit--kudos too him....

If we play after 4 virtual losses everytime, over long time, it is same as playing an EC every bet. Nice illusion and time killer but have no inherent power to be a winner.

P.S.: simulate any idea by enough trials and see the reality.

Hmm, my super tricked out computer shows it as 14 winning 12 losing wagers for a total of 26 shoes bet.
