My buddy and I both won money on the first two shoes.  When the 3rd shoe came around, we were tired.  It was late, well after midnight.  Both of us were up since 5 am or so the day before, going on 19 hours up for both of us, we still had 1.5 hours to drive back home and had to open the business by 7am.

Most people left already.  I told my buddy put it all away and risk $1,000.00.  Which he did.  We started slow and easy on the 3rd shoe, my buddy like the wait method and then wager on the opposite side and keep playing the opposite side unless you lose 2 in a row.  Then he would wait again and continue to bet the opposite side.  He usually flat bets those unless he wins 2 in a row, then he pulls down one of the winnings to cover his wager and then he parlays the 3rd one and continues, etc.  It is a good system as it usually wins 2 out of the 3 possible outcomes.  Unless it streaks, then you would be losing every hand, that is the reasoning for the stopping after 2 losses in a row.  It works pretty good on 1's, 2's and 3's depending on if and how you wait upon a loss, etc.

Anyway, I am a firm believer in the F7 (40:1 payout) in the first 9-12 hands or so.  I had $25.00 on the F-7 from the beginning and hit it on hand 6.  I usually do not wager the Panda8 much but did immediately after the hit on the F7 for another $25.00 and got $625.00 for that return on hand 7.  Then the banker gets a Natural 9 over a Player's Natural 8 on hand 8.  Then the Player has 2 cards for 0 on hand 9 and the Banker has 2 cards for total of 1 on, Player pulls a 7 and Banker pulls a monkey, players wins hand 9.  Then Banker has a Natural on hand 10.  My buddy is wining every other hand with large wagers close to table max now.  Then the Player wins the 11th hand by 1 with a 5 over a Banker 4.  My buddy was doing extremely well and I told him, careful---things change.

I truly felt the Banker going to get real strong or the Players, likewise.  Really felt more Players, but the Banker was looking good with their pulls as well.  It was the beginning of the shoe and while Player, IMO has the advantage in the very beginning as a norm, everything is still in the shoe.

My buddy goes table max on the Banker, which won by 6 with a 2 card 7 over a Players blackjack and Players pull a Monkey.  Then my buddy goes to put table max on the Players and I pull it down.  He squares off on me and puts it back up.  There is one other girl at the table playing and she is following him.  I said no.  He said yes.  This went on for a solid 5 min's.  I pulled my wager down from the Banker and said to go ahead.  Banker won the 2nd time and they both lost.  Banker won by 1 on extremely small numbers, like a 3 over a 2, I think it was.

Now I throw up close to table max on the Banker, the girl looks at me and says, are you sure.  The dealer laughs and says, the only thing Glen is sure of is he will make money when trucks roll over or a train derails and the pit boss breaks out laughing.  They know me very well.  I told her, maybe I think so.  I told my buddy go Banker or don't wager.  He goes Banker.   Banker 2 card 0 and Player has a 5.  Player pulls a monkey and Banker pulls an 8 for its 3rd card.  Then a tie.  The next hand would normally solicit a huge pull down from me, except it is the beginning of the shoe.  But I am really only looking at 7 times for each the Banker and the Player side.  Dead even!

Like I said, we were tired, even though hyped, I had to open the business at 7am and it is approaching 1 am with a hour and a half drive still.  My buddy had an appointment at 8am as well.  I looked at my buddy and told him, just stay on the Banker until it falls off with table max.  Then we go.  Okay?  He agrees.

Banker wins the 4th hand with a 3rd card pull for a total of 9.  Banker wins the 5th hand with a 3rd card pull totaling 8 over the Players total of 1.  Banker wins the 6th hand with a Natural 8.  Banker makes a Fortune 7 for the 7th Banker straight hand.  Banker wins the 8th hand.  Then it cut to the Players.

I went to cash out and my buddy stayed. He went back to his own way and won a bunch and then started to lose.  He went to cash out and I stayed at the table and recorded a few more.  We left.

Nice first shoe!

P23111813111111211121321111112114141421213 Plenty of chop action in there!

Playing it in my sections format where I just take the first bet would have produced the following....

Section 1. W, W*, W*, W*, W*, L. +1
Section 2. W, W*, W*, L. +1
Section 3. W, W*, W*, L. +1
Section 4. W, L. +1
Section 5. W, W*, L. +1
Section 6. W, W*,

Bet everything and it's +12 otherwise as Magnus Magnusson would have said 'That's 6 correct and no passes'  :applause:

Another very smooth running shoe IMO!

Nice first shoe.  Great shoes.  My method or system will work.  Etc., etc.

Problem being, shoes do not copy each other, back to back or repeated within numerous shoes played out.

The more a player typically wins, the more he desires to play and attempt to continue winning.  Of course on the flip side, is if you do not play, you can not win.

IMO and experience, (and this is where numerous people will come on and chastise and call me inexperienced and off the Richter scale) players of all caliber and lifestyles get sucked in and stuck.  Their wins influence almost everything about their play and their losses fuel them for additional and disastrous continuing play.

Of course not! You require a fairly broad repertoire regarding what to do in different situations and especially if you are a flat-bettor or pretty close to it.

It would be unwise for any player to assume just because he won a few hands, that more wins would follow. I forgot who it was that said to always have one foot pointed towards the door but it's a good analogy.

I agree with what you are saying but IMO the way forward for any players who are stuck in this type of mindset would be to think how they can take a lot of the emotion out of their gambling. Obviously you can only do that if you can accept the reality that things aren't always going to go to plan and to be able to walk away. You can have all the desire in the world and a host of other positive thoughts going on but you also need that bit of indifference to it all as well.
