Archie, thank you so much for that detailed reply! Great! With this game we don't get to play banker, there's only one banker, the "house". What you explain makes sense of course, when I'm not doing so well I'll only bet on one image, most of the time I'll bet on two, sometimes maybe three. The thing with two is that I will often win one and lose the other, so it's a push. Every now and then I'll win both which is good, but I could just bet double on one and I guess it's the same thing. Anyway, thank you for explaining all that! Very useful!

I thought I would start another discussion to talk about this game. I play this with the same group that plays Cee-Lo (mentioned in my other post). It's a super fun game!

For those not familiar, there are three dice with different images on it (Prawn; Rooster; Crab; Goldfish, etc) and a board with six circles with matching images. The dice are in a container, the "banker" shakes it three times, then the bets are placed. You can bet on as few or as many of the images you want, could be just one or all six. Then the dice are revealed and the winning bets are paid out.

I'm wondering if anyone here knows what the best strategy for this game is? I will usually bet two or three images at a time, though I've tried all kinds of bets, I've played it intuitively, I really don't know the right odds or anything. I'm sure some of you would know what the math is on this. Is it best to just bet on one image at a time? Two? Three or more? If anyone can help me figure this out it would be great!

Also, and this has to do with cheating, I was a bit worried when I first started playing these "outside the casino" games with this group, though I feel much better now since there doesn't seem to be any cheating going on, though you never really know. In CeeLo they like to use a bowl, so when you drop the dice they bounce around in there, I'm not sure how anyone would be able to control the dice in this case, but in Fish-Prawn-Crab (and Sic-Bo which we also play) the dice are in a container, they shake this container three times, the bets are placed, then the lid is lifted to reveal the results. I always feel weird about not being able to see the dice shaking in there. Is there a way to cheat or control the dice in that container? I sure hope not.

Thank you so much for any info!

Archie, the way we've been playing Cee-Lo the dice get dropped in a bowl and the dice bounce around in there so I find it hard to imagine someone could control the outcome of a roll.

I love Michael, but I don't like that forum much, I'll just leave it at that.

Dice Games Forum / Cee-Lo

I was introduced to a dice game called Cee-Lo recently that I'm really getting hooked on! I'm sure most of you here will have heard of it. I play Baccarat and Pai Gow Poker with a lot of Asians in the two casinos I usually go to, and one of my Asian casino "friends" told me about Cee-Lo and said they have regular games of it going.

I've played this a few times with a small group of 3 to 5 people and sometimes head to head. I think the game is awesome! It's a very simple game but is there anything I can learn to help with winning?

I was told that with these kinds of street dice games sometimes people will cheat with controlled rolls, or crooked dice, but these people I've played with seem very fair, the dice can be checked and we roll them onto a bowl so the dice bounce around in there, though we have used a little tray as well.

I don't think there would be any specific strategy to this game since it's just dice rolls, but if there's anything else I should know about it from you dice experts, please let me know!

Thank you for the info, guys!

Since I'm new, I think I'll just bet on who will win the individual games I choose to bet on instead of point spreads and the other stuff.

I won't bet every game, just the ones I know something about, or think will win based on recommendation. I don't plan on making a ton of money, just some extra fun during the world cup!

If I end up liking sports betting, then I'll try again with more international soccer and probably football too, and I'll take the time to learn an effective system.

For now THANK YOU. If there's any other advice, please let me know.

Sports Betting Forum / New To Sports Betting

I'm totally new to sports betting, but I'm interested in making some bets during the World Cup starting in June. My mom is French and we grew up with soccer in the house. I don't follow sports in general, but I always watch the world cup every four years (and the Olympics). I have an online account where I can make sports bets, but can any of you give me any tips on the best way to approach sports betting? I'm thinking of just betting on who will win on individual games but I see there are other bets that can be made. Thank you so much for any help!

I think if someone is visibly, obviously drunk, the casino should not serve them or let them play. It's not ok to take advantage of anyone while they're clearly drunk, in some cases, if you do, you can go to prison for a long time.

I try not to drink when I gamble, but I have before and I tend to lose too much when I drink because it's all a big fun party with lots of laughs. Until I find out how much I lost, then it's feeling guilty and bad.

Thank you for posting this, it's so true. I've had similar experiences when playing. When I start winning I usually put an amount in my head that I want to win before I stop, and a lot of times I end up losing most of it by trying to push forward. Not always, but a lot of times I get in trouble this way. Great reminder.
