The first one is small and from the 1970's.  If you are new to playing, skip it, you probably won't get much from it and won't believe the content anyway.  If you are experienced at the game, I highly recommend this great short work of reality baccarat for refreshing quips and a kind of self insuring aspect to what and how the game acts to B&M gamblers, etc.

The second one is a great piece of work.  Lots and lots of sections on ideas, theories, strategies and tips.  Seriously highly, highly recommend.  A serious baccarat player will find plenty of things to research and expend upon within this book.  Well worth the price many times over!  Highly recommend!!!

I have and read no less than 40 books on baccarat and gambling.  The highest majority are junk being written by some self-proclaimed expert that won a few hands and thought to write a book full of things that probably will never happen or he clearly copied from elsewhere.  These two books for the serious baccarat player will give you some good tips and insights.

I normally don't scan things about systems and all the scams out there, because every single one of them are, IMO!

Someone emailed something and I came across this piece.  I think the GG board is now gone but these real people talking about a couple of systems is comical.  Would people actually believe you can develop a system and it is viable????  I am floored, really---had no idea of the widespread garbage out there.

No wonder when I smack the casino with like 10 big hands and a few Fortune 7's I hear comments.  LOL.

Baccarat Forum / Response from a System Seller
February 28, 2017, 12:09:47 PM
I emailed the other day to a 'system seller' and asked a few questions.  I rather not get into a sparring match with anyone and I am not going to divulge the identity whom I picked to ask these questions to.  Here are the questions and the answers:

Q:  How come you are selling this system which is obviously a type of 'Holy-Grail' and worth millions of dollars as you claim?

A:  "Thanks for your email and I choose to offer my proven baccarat method to the public to assist my fellow gamblers whom I have seen suffer too much at the tables".

Q:  How come if it is so valuable the casinos do not ban players using it such as counting cards in BJ or just pull all the baccarat tables to protect themselves?

A:  "Because the casino know there will always be a greater number of patrons that have no clue to the game and they will always profit handsomely.  I will also give you the method not to be detected by any casino".

Q:  I really am interested in purchasing this but I just can't get over why you would actually sell it and not be in the casino 7/24 racking in the millions month after month?

A:  "Well part of the answer would include my answer I gave you to the first question, to help others.  However, I have grown tired of going to the casinos and it has become a passion of mine to get a bit of revenge back at the casinos".

Q:  Why don't you give it away for free?

A:  "I have to cover my extensive advertising and business expenses I have incurred in the development, production and marketing of my method".

Okay, there you have it!  Take it any way you wish.  Pay a little and make your millions!   :bye:

Baccarat Forum / The Approach and Figuring It Out
February 28, 2017, 10:30:53 AM
Here are some thoughts for today.  Many will skip it--no Holy Grails and No accusations about casinos deriving ways to cheat, LOL!

Something that actually changed inside of you.  Most never will notice.  Few do--few might turn it around--most can't.

Baccarat cannot be beat--Meaning in the classical sense where you employ a mechanical system that will always prevail--never ever, impossible.  Great conversation piece though and the 'erection teaser' for the system seller or scam artist that one day woke up and discovered some magical trait, all others failed to recognize in baccarat-wrote it down and advertised  it as a simple road to millions of dollars for only $595.00 or $4,500.00.

No one can use a system to prevail, not continuously, not sporadically.  Nothing can hold up shoe after shoe after shoe.  Nothing. Nothing at all, it is physically impossible and never will be found.  Some of us have triggers that might prevail more times than not, but I and everyone I have ever gambled with (hundreds of players), will not travel to a casino to place 1 or 2 or 3 wagers and then go home.  Sorry.  If you do or know someone that does and you are winning those 1 or 2 or 3 wagers, fine.  Ride it.  If you actually find something that is a real trigger of sorts and it works better than 50% of times, you travel to a casino and play it and play that only if you can.

However, it is not the holy-grail or a system by any means.  It will not continually prove positive and it will only be a matter of time until you get crushed with it.

Now, I have found that defining 'sections' and 'turning points' into triggers coupled with what the instant shoe is producing---is a more positive way for myself to capitalize on easier clumps of wins.  I am also extremely conscious of money management (my 1/3rd fail proof system) positive progressions and my side-ways wager which is extremely profitable to me many times, my 1 + 4 Parlay wager with the first unit always being win money.  That side-ways additional wager of my 1 + 4 Parlay has assisted me countless times walk away with $3k to $5k after a couple of shoes.  I rather employ the previous stuff than all the 'Ping-Pang', Dragon Trail Chases, Follow the Leader, Pong-Pong, Naturals Cut, and the most absurd to me being FLD or OLD, etc., etc.  God, I love the Asian people, I married one--however, the game is not Asian and the Asians have no magical 'Voo-Doo' wherewithal to better determine something that will happen or in fact, not happen.  BTW, the game of baccarat is from Europe and brought to the USA via Cuba, long before it was in Asia. Don't get me wrong, there is a time and place for all those superstitions to come about and engage camaraderie---actually a very important place and time.  But not every hand, shoe after shoe with players you have no idea whom they really are and what their experience is.

Every hand--shoe after shoe after shoe will kill and crush you the highest majority of the times.  The few times you do prevail, say 1 out of 25 or 3 out of 100 times will not even get your previous losses back and only instill that false hope in you to a greater magnitude.  Go ahead and play all night, every night, 6 or 7 days a week with 8 or 10 or 12 shoes a night.  It will haunt you and play with your mind.  When you think about it, all those times when you finally start winning with a shoe, the win means nothing and you will 100% give it back and buy in repeatedly to keep going.  Because your frame of mind is, "I won $25,000.00 the other night and did great, doesn't matter I gave it back, I found out I can win and now I can win $100k or $250k no problem".  You set yourself up for the proverbial 'player beat-down', 110%!

People come on this board every month with their newly discovered game of baccarat.  They won a few thousand dollars or so.  Their 'definitive' 'beat the casino' with only this simple thing or two or whatever they figured out caused their win.  Going to a casino say with $1,000.00 and wagering 10 times with a hot table and getting lucky is fine, happens all the time.  Easy to walk away with $3,000 or $4,000 dollars.  However, thinking you can do that, night after night after night is ludicrous, insane and so far from the truth--you remind me of my little 4 year in Toys R Us in the Star Wars isle.    Good luck, you just convinced yourself the casino is handing out free money at your beck and call.  Put your brain back in your head and wake the heck up! You will 100% fail.

Then that same person decided he won that money because he waited each time for the 4th repeat on Players and placed $400.00 on the Bankers, or something of the likes.  And his decision was correct.  Exactly!  Comes on this board and throws his scenario out there with a strong 'claim to fame'.  Gamble more, come back in 6 months and tell us what happened. Tell us how every 4 repeats cut and never ever turned into 8 or 9 or 14 repeating streaks you completely messed up and missed.  Or how you wagered for the second repeat after 3 chops because the 64 combination system told you to and how you never saw a 10 to 15 to 20 horizontal sideways sections of beautiful chop-chop.  Or any of the other 30-40 things that will be produced that resemble anything of the likes and that system you bought or you created forgot to account for, etc.

Oh yeah, one more, tell us why you continually win by flat betting banker shoe after shoe.  No, don't.  I just looked up the answer.  Because Banker is a better wager and the stats say that Banker has a 1.0 + something percent advantage above that of Players.

Baccarat Forum / Now, Seen it all
February 27, 2017, 12:36:43 AM
Just played one and a half shoes tonight.

3 Fortune 7's.  All on one line the same as last week where I had 5 in one shoe!  3 were on 1 line and the other 2 were on another line.  Tonight all 3 and all on one line.  One with a quarter on, the other one with $40 and nickel up for the dealer and the other with $30.  The rest of the shoes, utterly impossible to do anything, all 5 other people lost well into the thousands chasing.  All 1's and 3's and sometimes 2's.  Then a long streak and no one would follow, just play the chop.  Then the matching side-by-side streak came out.  LOL.

Anyway, I cashed out, got a room at the hotel end of it, since I have to open the office by 6am or so and it is close to midnight.  I got the room went down to get some fruit and water, etc., and walked through the casino.  A player I have not seen for a while was playing and they asked me to sit down and play a bit.  I bought in for $400.00 against my judgment, I know when I win and it turns ugly, it almost never gets better the next shoe or few shoes in fact.

Well, I got in at hand 15 and was betting pretty much only Fortune 7's and sometimes $50 or $75 on B or P.  The person that asked me to sit down was also consecutively betting Fortune's and we have won many together.  There was no Fortune 7's yet, now it was about hand 27 I think.  Player had 3 and bank had 5, Player pulls an 8 and the dealer drew a monkey for the Banker.  Banker won of course and dealer noticed the mistake right away and called the floor.  Of course the next hand would be a dead hand played out and monkey went to the Player side and another card drawn and 2 cards for the Banker.  Player showed  a 1 and Banker showed a 1 also.  Player drew a 4 and Banker drew a 6.  Of course.

Good night, going to sleep, now I think I seen just about everything.

Baccarat Forum / Playing Baccarat and some protocols
February 20, 2017, 04:47:23 PM
Some have asked for a recap and order of importance for my protocols.  I will throw out there a summation of what I try to do and stay conscious of when I play.  I said try, it is difficult at times.

You can follow, guess or do what many do (against my better judgment) wagering OLD or FLD only, etc., etc.

But to me there is so much more and a greater depth to some type of success and control than just wagering blindly and chip stacking and hopefully cashing out at the correct time.  The correct time meaning, when you get onto your plateau if you won and risked a portion safely to attempt to win more, etc.

My 5 most important things to be conscious of while gambling: Sections, Turning Points, Positive Progressions, 1/3rd-1/3rd-1/3 Money Management and My Plateaus.

I usually have 2 types of wagering going, one is my 1-3-2-6 or 1-3-2-4 positive progression and the other one is my 1+4 parlay wager with win money starting out with the '1 Unit'.

Don't be influenced but be very aware of the positive effects and power of great camaraderie.

I won't cite some of the sections off a piece I wrote but to me, there are many good tips within:

Baccarat Forum / Player's Plateaus
February 18, 2017, 01:18:42 PM
Plateaus and your recognition and consciousness of what yours are--IMO, are vitally important to your stopping with confidence and conviction or continuing with winning. Because plateaus are seldom reached and when a player does, that is the time to walk on eggs shells and pounce on it if your winning plateau was reached.

To me, the 5 most important tactics, to be aware of and in your fore front of gambling are: Sections, Turning Points, Positive Progressions, Your Plateaus and 1/3rd money management system.

What is so important about your plateaus--is likened to situational awareness in a sense.  Once you realize what yours are--you will be able to place yourself in more opportune times than not knowing and then ultimately be able to deal with them much better! To me, once I win or lose a certain amount--I become quite conscious of the present trend and how to deal with it. No matter if that trend of winning or losing just came, is presently there or coming up.

When you reach your plateaus and you remain with conscious thought of it--they can assist you greater than an owners manual when you are putting together a completely knocked down product with a hundred or so pieces.

But, so many will not take the time to really discover their plateaus and substitute a continual draw-down or random chip stacking when it is concerning positive wins--only to eventually give it all back plus their buy-in trying to recoup what they just realized.  For those players were possibly already at their plateaus but had no conscious knowledge of it or anything to compare their instant events they just went through with.

Baccarat Forum / Old School to New School Reasoning
February 18, 2017, 07:47:00 AM
Well, as most of you know, I have been on the gambling scene since right around the early 80's after becoming of age. Never was pro and never will be in the sheer sense, referring to a full-time career of gambling, etc.  I did write a piece about that as well.  But last night I saw a great documentary on TV about NASCAR, TV coverage and cameras in the sport, etc.  It was all based around the heydays of Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, and the many other greats of NASCAR in 1979.  They were talking about the great east coast blizzard that basically crippled the east coast in 1979 from Jacksonville, Florida all the way up past the northeast.  So Daytona, Florida @ the Daytona 500 was raining and down right miserable with rain and nasty weather for central Florida.  Back then there were no track dryers, the race cars would have to go around and around numerous laps to get the track in raceable condition.  Cameras were just coming about trackside and the first ones were in the race cars as well.  It was what everyone now consders old-school but it was racing!  I grew up in the 70's so my first car was a Mustang what today, we refer to as a 'muscule car' and back then it was just a regular car.  Along with all the 442's, Cudas with 383's, 426 hemi's and legendary 6-packs 440's, Cameros, Chevells, Trans Am's, etc., etc.  No one had cell phones and there was 4 TV stations, ABC-CBS-NBC and PBS.  We even had the weekly TV guide little magazine that we would go through and mark the TV shows that we were going to watch.  Fax machines and internet coming about in the 90's, there was US Mail and other courier services for the real important letters and checks, etc.  Life was a bit less complicated and not blurred by everything having to be absolutly instant and everyone's opinion that so many allow themselves to be influenced by from the internet.

Then there was gambling.  I was introduced to it in Atlantic City, New Jersey after it came about around 1978.  In the early 1980's I was playing baccarat.  Every casino had the big tables, the ones with the 3 dealers, 2 pit personnel and a pit manager, right there whenever the game was going.  There was huge camraderie and friendship at the baccarat tables, unlike today for many reasons.  There was white and Asian people mostly playing with occasional players of other races, but not as a norm.  Players were extremely cordial and numerous things were different, but attitudes were the most extreme difference between then and today.  Mindsets were different and most players conversed and shared what they expereinced, knew or thought in nearly complete harmony.

The traits, the mannerisms, the dress of the players.  All drasitcally different than post 'early 2000's' or so.  It's all good, just like the newer 'vats' car keys compared to the old school regular car keys.  Or, the tire sensor to tell you when your tires are low on air rather than those without the $60.00 sensor that needs replacing and all that.  Heck, we used to check our tires 2 or 3 times a week and keep them properly inflated but now you can forget all that and let the sensor do it for you, if it is working properly.  Oh, I was in Vegas last time and heard these two guys in their 20's boasting about going to Barret Jackson auto auction in Arizona and buying a prized Cuda muscle car, etc., etc.  They knew all the talk, slang and history of the car, heck--the internet is great i guess, really.....LOL.

There was not that mindset which exists today, like to knock the other player out, wager against, and all the other stradegy and thoughts which seems to exist today.  Back then during the complete 1980's and 1990's, it was 99% or so, the players versus the casino.  But seriously, I cannot remember a player putting one finger over one of his nostrils and then blowing out the other side right there at the baccarat table and onto the floor as if no one was next to him or watching.  Sure there was times a new player or an obnoxious player would enter a game and make it known he was literally the best thing since sliced bread and he was there to win money and didn't want any part of talking, high fiving, hugging, going to go eat a good meal while taking a break or anything of the like.  Usually after a bit, that kind of player found out it was best to try another casino down the boardwalk and maybe he would find his group of people that fit him better.  But the type of baccarat players that we really were, all of us were mostly the same and the highest majority got along as regular players.  We all looked forward to the weekends or other times we would meet at the casinos or even ride down to Atlantic City together from the New York City Metro area.

Then sometime in the early 2000's, the internet and all the instant everything came about that seemed to affect every part of daily living.  Then baccarat changed.  Not only in Altantic City, but in Las Vegas and of course Connecticut also.  More of everything became instant, no patience, everyone knows everything, and of course systems and internet self taught professors and experts of the game--no matter their experience, age or level of play.  I have found a few good things on the internet about gambling but with lots of thought thinking about it all, not much changed my game.  What happens in a casino is based on numerous factors that nothing on the internet can really change to convince the highest majority of players about anyway.  I have found that even knowing the vital plan of action that suits myself, money management, progrssions and other tactical matters are usually influenced by other actions and events at the live table.  Sometimes for positve effects and other times for negative effects.  For some reason, most do not think about or subscribe to things like 'sections', 'point values'. 'turning points', 'your plateaus' and a few other baccarat factors that will almost always influence the outcomes.  Stats and long term results over hundreds of thousands of shoes are the most important now, even if the player sits down for 3 or 5 or 7 shoes, LOL!  What is funny, no actually sad--is the internet teaches the stats, the long range 500,000 shoe results that almost all the players subscribe to following when they risk and they lose their money wagering, because the internet preached it.  But the real tactical and wagerng advantages are so often over looked and not really talked about because everyone is writing manuals and selling gambling systems that will make you an absolute fortune for only $99.00 or $595.00 or even personal training from a Doctor of Baccarat for like $4,500.00.  The real nitty gritty and the real advantages are the things you cannot and do not learn on the internet.

But go ahead and pay $99.99 or even $4,500.00 to a self proclaimed baccarat doctor that has testimonals from 30 different students (all with generic Facebook looking pictures and last names with one letters) and you too can be on the road to riches and learn what all those that took decades to learn, are selling for less than a weeks salary.  Of course the internet is gospel, no one lies and it hold that elusive 'holy-grail' that everyone announces they found and willing to teach it to you for some type of payment, LOL!  That in itself has to be the one huge laughable and most insane thing I have every read or got from the internet. Seriously, hands down--take it to the bank gospel.

I don't sit here and wish to go back or dwell, but it sure is nice when a bunch of late 40's to mid 50's or even 60 year old players are around and everything acts as though there is no internet or other related new school things around.

Baccarat Forum / Fortune 7's
February 16, 2017, 12:09:04 PM
Played 4 shoes last night and 3 the night before.  Absolute phenomenal Fortune 7's with record wins for me on them.  First night hit 4 out of 5 in one shoe, 3 out of 4 in another and 1 out of 1 in the third.  Last night hit 5 out of 5 in one with a back-to-back one I have never seen.  Had table max out on Fortune 7 and she hit it.  Then she said, 'back-to-back' and I said I never seen one and she said watch this.  I threw a nickel out next to my F-7 wager for her and she looked at me and it's coming.  I promised her an additional $100 on top of the $205 she would get.  She dealt Player a 6 and the Banker a 5 and then she pulls the Deuce!  Beautiful, back-to-back.

Pressed for time all day and tonight, will fill in the gaps on all the F-7's later.....

I am extremely curious as to why so many of the internet news stories load their pages 'horizontal' instead of the always 'vertical' way.  Used to be, all stories loaded and you just paged down to read and did not have to keep clicking to load another page repeatedly.  Now, lots are loading where it appears you kind of move sideways towards the right and you have to go page to page to page.  I generally see that now and just click off.  Yesterday there was a story I just had to read.  Took 24 pages/loads to read the little bit on each page of course.  I can only assume I was registered clicking on their page like 24 or 25 times??  What a pain in the rear!

Baccarat Forum / Decisions I have witnessed, approx.
February 14, 2017, 04:27:26 PM
When I take pen to paper, I figured I have witnessed approximately 3 Million baccarat decisions over the years.  (nothing to do with success, failure, pro or non-pro playing).  Better than 50% would be at a big table, where the shoe travels counter clockwise around the table taking about 2.5 to 3 hours to complete a shoe with new cards, washing and of course all hand shuffled.

(All has been copied and posted from another 2014 thread here on BetSelection.  IMO pretty much spot on 100% especially the pieces about negative progression and walking away with small wins.  I tried to express something similar and my 1/3rd system pretty much will fuel winning progressions as he talks about).

Wise words from Tony Renzoni....a professional Baccarat player.

« on: January 29, 2014, 07:38:59 PM »

I have recently finished reading a book called 'Renzoni on Baccarat'

It was published some 41 years ago and there is no system/strategy as such. However there is certainly a lot of common sense and sound advice. It can apply to all table games and so I am going to put up some extracts from the book.

Renzoni took the game of Baccarat from Cuba over to Vegas where the game was first introduced at the Sands Hotel. Renzoni is said to have witnessed between 10 and 20 million Baccarat decisions in his 40 years as a professional.

''If there is one thing I have learned about gambling, it's to recognize and respect streaks. This is true, incidentally, in all casino games.

If, for example, the cards favour the player for three consecutive decisions, then your next bet should either be player or you shouldn't bet at all! If you lose, you lose only one wager. If you bet against the trend, you can be suckered into betting and betting and betting. I have seen more fortunes lost by people who became emotionally committed to one position that went against the trend than through any other folly in gaming!

Don't buck a trend. Either swing over or don't wager. I consider three or more decisions in one direction enough to be considered a trend.''

''I have developed a certain gambling philosophy over the years. One of the basics of that philosophy is to take advantage of those times when I have a winning pattern going for me. And one of the ways I do that, take advantage of the good luck, is to keep playing.
The majority of people come into a casino and when they get lucky they quit to soon. They start out with a couple of hundred dollars, win $500 and walk out with the feeling that they have scored a tremendous victory over the casino. Those same people will come back time after time and drop $50, $100, $200 each visit, and without realizing it they still aren't ahead when they do get lucky. Because they quit playing too soon. Vegas casinos are so plush and luxurious because people don't always cut their losses but they cut their winnings!

It's easy to understand. Everybody is influenced by that old saying ''quit while you're ahead'' but they don't realize that the saying has a catch when it is applied to gambling. It's certainly a good idea to quit while you're ahead, but shouldn't you figure out what ''ahead'' really means in your case? You might be ahead for the evening, but are you ahead or even close to it as far as the whole year is concerned? and are you winning as much as you ought to be?

Most people, unfortunately, bet either the same way whether they're winning or losing, or they bet just the opposite of the way a professional gambler will. By that I mean they bet too much on each decision when they are in a losing pattern, and they bet too little when they're winning. They just don't take advantage of winning patterns that come their way.

Of course you never know when a pattern is going to change. You may be winning handsomely and then it turns around into a losing streak. But why walk away from the table until you have had some sufficient evidence that decisions are not going your way, that your win pattern has ended.

It takes nerves to play up your winnings, but think about it. What are you gambling for? If it's to win some money, why not win as much as you can? Pressing your bets when winning is the hallmark of every professional I have ever known. The casino need have no fear of the person who wins and continues his conservative wagering. The dangerous player is the one who presses (raises his bets) when he is winning.
In Vegas they have an expression about some high rollers that goes like this: ''You've got to watch him. He presses when he is winning and if you're not careful, he'll write you a new address!''

Most people will say ''what if you don't win on the third or fourth try?'' Well that's always possible. So you lose what? Only winnings, not your original bankroll. And isn't it worth risking money you've just won from a casino when you have the chance to win ten to twelve times as much betting the professional way?''

more to follow...... I have to type this out..  :)

''If you really want to know the truth, there are no ''secrets'' about professional gambling. They are however the 'facts of life' that many participants don't know or never spend the time to discover.

When it comes to gambling the way professionals do, there are only three basic ingredients: Knowledge, acquired skill and money management. Oh, there are a lot of little things to learn, things that time and experience will tell you. Most of these important secondary gambling adages are no more than common sense.

For example, gamble when you are well rested, and when nothing negative can cloud your mind and affect your perception, analysis and decision making. I don't think anyone should gamble who is afraid of losing. It's obvious that when your confidence is shaky your performance will be bad.

To gamble, you don't have to begin with a lot of money, but you certainly need some nerve and some courage. Because effective gambling, like accomplished skiing, sometimes requires you to go against some very basic instincts.

In gambling, the key is to control your losses and capitalize on winning streak. In other words, to lose as little as possible and win as much as possible. There are ways to accomplish this. Every professional knows these principles.

Simply stated, they consist of (1) Keeping to low average bet while you are losing and (2) doubling up almost everytime you win. Most people do just the opposite, doubling up when they are losing in a foolish attempt to get there losses back fast, and restricting themselves by becoming conservative when they begin to win. It's the old story of self-preservation. They lose and they think they must get back to a break-even point as quickly as possible. So they double up before coming into a win pattern, and what happens?

If a man has lost three or four $10 bets in a row and then begins doubling up on each of five subsequent losing bets, he will blow a total of $620 trying to get back $30 or $40. Most amateur or occasional gamblers will quit at this point, or well before it because they did not follow or were unaware of the professional principle that applies to losing streaks, or patterns.

A professional gambler rides his luck when he is winning. But you'll never see a professional bet the same amount consistently when he's winning-unless it's the house limit.''

more to follow.....

''If you are ever to have even a remote chance of walking away a winner more than occasionally, you must practice what professionals call ''money management''.

Always try to get the strength out of your money.

The objectives of the philosophy are rather simple and to the point. Objective Number One, is as I've said, to control your losses while you are losing so that you have a chance to last out your unlucky drift and take advantage of a subsequent win pattern.

Objective Number Two: To win more than the amount of money you start gambling with, possibly many times more, if you are winning-and to break even or stay ahead if you lose more decisions than you win on a given night.

Sounds acceptable, doesn't it? And all you have to do to reach these two goals is:

1) Stick to a low average bet when you are losing, and....

2) Increase your wagers as soon as a winning trend is indicated.

Every professional I have ever known has followed these principles strictly. Yet few amateur or casual gamblers do. Why, I'll never know. People read up on, investigate, learn about and try to apply professional principles to everything they do with the exception of gambling, in gambling, amateurs tend to remain amateurs, though they obviously don't have to.''

What's The Best Way To Cheat At Roulette?

Roulette is a game in which the casino holds a slight edge over the players. That is, of course, unless the player can figure out a way to cheat the casino. Now, you might be thinking to yourself, "there's no way to rig a game of random chance." And you would be incorrect.

Roulette is different from games such as blackjack in that unless you are committing an illegal act, the house has an advantage.

In blackjack, a player can gain an edge by counting cards. This isn't illegal, but the casino will likely throw a card counter out if caught. Like any business, casinos have a right to refuse service to anyone.

But when it comes to cheating the casino in a game such as roulette, it's a criminal act that will be dealt with in a court of law. That's because card counting can't be proven in court, whereas using one of the cheating methods below, it's very easy to prove.

There are illegal and legal ways players can cheat the casino playing roulette. Let's first take a look at the illegal methods.

Wheel Modification

https://youtu.be/ruRupagiwoM

If you know how to modify a roulette wheel and have the balls to try and pull it off, you can make a whole heck of a lot of money. But you run the risk of spending a significant amount of time in prison, so don't do it.

Cheaters have figured out ways to modify the wheel so that the ball bounces in specific areas, making it easier to predict the outcome of a spin.

Using Magnetic Balls

It doesn't happen very often as it's incredibly difficult to pull off without getting caught, but using magnetic balls would make it nice and easy for the player to win consistently.

However, it's just too much of a risk for most players to even attempt it. The cameras would catch even the sneakiest criminal.

There are a few legal methods for cheating the casino in live roulette but the main one is called "wheel clocking".

This isn't something any ordinary person could pull off. You need to be disciplined, intelligent and able to pay close attention. Basically, the cheater uses electronic devices to store data that makes it possible to time the spin to project the outcome of the spin.

Online Roulette Cheating

Skilled gamblers aren't just able to cheat in a brick-and-mortar casino. Cheating happens quite often at online casinos as well. It's more difficult to pull off but certainly not impossible.

If the online casino uses a random number generator (RNG), it's not possible to cheat the casino. It's basically a slot machine, which can't be beat. That isn't real roulette though.

If your online casino is using an RNG for roulette, find somewhere else to play.

One thing you should be aware of is anyone trying to sell you a book or seminar on how to cheat the online casinos.

There are many scammers out there who claim to have some guaranteed system. The truth that actually the only system they have that's real is taking your money.

Just remember this: If the methods truly did work, no one would share their techniques with anyone else for fear of the online casinos making adjustments.

How Brick-and-Mortar Casinos Protect Themselves

If you've ever walked into a casino, you've probably noticed all the cameras. They are everywhere.

There are dozens of cameras in every casino. On the ceilings and walls, inside slot machines and even built into the tables. Wherever you go, the cameras will follow.

The eyes in the sky are there to ensure you don't try to cheat the house. Cheating in a casino is punishable by law and can land someone in prison for years in nearly every country or state.

The cameras aren't just watching the patrons. They are also watching employees.

Customers aren't the only ones who try to cheat the casino. There are many examples of employees working alongside a customer to gain an edge over the house.

Roulette dealers are required to abide by certain restrictions. They must show the camera they don't have any devices in their hands after each wheel spin. This is done to prove they aren't using any sort of magnetic devices to assist players in cheating.

The cameras also pay close attention to the dealers in order to ensure they aren't stealing chips and the same goes for the players.

How Online Casinos Protect Themselves

Even though it is more difficult to cheat the casino online, these companies take security very seriously. It all starts by having a third-party auditor test the authenticity of the software.

The eyes in the sky online are security software which monitors activity on the website. It would be extremely difficult to rig the outcome of each spin. But not impossible.

Verdict: Is It Possible To Cheat In Roulette?

Cheating happens at online and offline casinos and not just in roulette.

Gamblers attempt to cheat the house in blackjack, poker, sports betting and even slot machines.

It's far more difficult to cheat a casino these days than it used to be. For example, back in the day fake coins were used by cheaters to rig slot machines. Now that coin-operated slot machines are almost non-existent these days, that doesn't happen very often.

In roulette, cheating the casino online is tough to pull off. But it can happen in a brick-and-mortar gambling venue if the cheater is skilled and can find an employee to work in conjunction with.

With that said, trying to cheat the casino is never a smart idea.

First off, it's difficult to accomplish. But even if you know what you're doing, the eyes in the sky will catch you and you'll probably end up in jail. And for what? A few bucks? Don't do it!

Well, I was asked and prompted to write something after a PM and a phone call last night.  So, I made some notes and here it is:

First of all, members need to stop their attitudes on here.  If you simply don't like someone, approve of something or care to read something someone writes, myself or others--simply skip over it.  You can also block that person as well.  What is the big deal?  This is a more detailed board and personal than any other out there, which are all tens of thousands of 'hit and run' touristy types and occasional players for the darn near highest majority of their board members.  On the other boards mostly what the highest majority of threads boil down to or get reduced to, is 'he said-she said'.  More of a gossip type, more of a $20.00 upgrade at check in type, more of a had a great burger at so and so place, etc.

Next, the person that PM'd me and the person that called me, both had the same comments after the little bit of sparring that happened yesterday.  Why?  Why did they need to say what they did and maybe you need to throw out there a bit more about yourself and your position on gambling and how you do it.  So I got to thinking last night, okay.

To me, the board here was never a catch all or a vehicle to learn a holy-grail or how to become a millionaire at the casino by doing 'such and such'.  To me, the board was and is a vehicle to express myself, meet some people and exchange certain ideas and lay a pathway to anyone that is interested in my writing, comments or answers, etc.  I used to engage, one-on-one a bit more a while back.  I don't do it nearly as often for numerous reasons, but mostly it is not conducive to what this board is really about. I have my experience, opinions and protocols, the members here have theirs as well.  The best of us merge, discuss and expand.  Others truly desire to spar, create drama and cause havoc in attempt to grab a position.  Personally, I have no rating system or scale here or any other measurable instrument for my gambling or any other person's gambling. I must say, I am on some other technical trade message boards and there is no where near the amount of in-fighting, demeaning, chastising or attempted humiliation over there at those!  And, they have a several thousand active members posting around 500 plus messages a day, etc.!!!

About Vic.  Vic gave us the space and the upkeep to have this vehicle.  He is a good guy and not shoving anything down anyone's throats or letting all the advertising and poo-poo on the site such as all the other boards have done.  Vic does not control most anything anyone writes, unless it is clearly in poor taste and against the few rules and regulations he sets forward on his board.  Some desire to take advantage of this but those are usually weeded out fairly quickly and easily dealt with.  If you don't like what Vic set-up and refined, move on--IMO that would be best.  I never understood if you are not happy here, why someone would stay here?? Puzzling.

As far as any member posting something, questions, answers, statements, their experiences, subjects they have found and refined to be of importance to a certain area, etc., etc., try to look at it from where they are coming from.  Who they are, what their position is, how they gamble and all that.  Someone attempted to change my words around on here over the weekend and accused me of being something I was not as well as demeaning and humiliating me about my confidence and ability in the game I play and write about.  Well, I try to write mostly from my experience and knowledge of the game which goes back to right around 1980.  I have played in numerous gaming jurisdictions around the USA.  I have played extensively with the Asian population because my x-wife and current wife is Asian.  I was business partners in the NYC area with a couple of different Asian people, one in the restaurant field and the other in the adult industry.  I have gambled with all types, nationalities of people for decades.  I might know more than others and might know less than some.  I never claimed to be the smartest or the best gambler in the world.  Never ever did I.  I also don't have false perceptions about the game and its ability to make money or take your money.  It is a dangerous game and I will say that many times.  Often misunderstood with some of the things I write because someone figures i lost everything to this game, which is the furthest from the truth.  Personally, I am against anyone drumming into the audience here on this board, how easy the game of baccarat is and how all you have to do is 'follow the leader' or the other one is, 'follow the last decision or wager against the last decision',  and the third one would be, 'buy this system or get this training and make millions'.  They are all false, wrong and fallacies, IMO and in the opinion of almost everyone I ever talked to.

Seems as though, as soon as someone says 'holy-grail' everyone pounces on it.  Usually with more gusto and motivation that more serious topics/threads.  Is this just fun or are we seriously reduced to the sole mission to find the so called holy-grail.  A game that has been around for hundreds of years and in Vegas sometime since being imported from Cuba in the 1950's?

B&M and On-Line Gambling.  I do not gamble at all on-line.  Never once.  Never will.  I know far too many people that got into that business end of it years ago.  I was approached by numerous ones up to just a couple years ago.  I had information as to how they 'rig' and can alter anything they so desire.  I play only at brick and mortar casinos for that purpose.  I am not addicted and do not have to gamble everyday or on-line throughout the day.

About what the casino represents.  Casinos mean different things to different people.  Including you, me and other members on this board.  Personally, I am not consumed about someone stacking money in front of them.  I am not impressed at all about what others bring for buy-ins and bank-rolls.  I might mention it at times to highlight something in my writing or story, to explain or express, but seriously, no concern or effect on me whatsoever.  In the past, like in the 80's and 90's, sure, but I learned, doesn't mean jack--might not even be theirs, could very well be on-credit, could very well be drug money, could very well be pooled money, etc., etc., and so on.  Others seem so consumed on and getting to a point within their play, that will put them magically on 'easy street'.  For whatever it is worth.  I have witnessed many win large sums of money, upward of hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars within a night.  Everyone of them that I knew made that accomplishment of winning huge money, have given it back to the casino and numerous times that amount or close to it of their own money trying to relive those wins.  I have won a couple hundred thousand as my largest one night or two day win.  I have won well over $100k and ran out with the wife bought an Escalade thanks to Caesar's Palace in Vegas.  I write to share and I write to explain.  I am proud of what I have done mostly and some of the things I have done or caused while gaming, I am not so proud of.  I have gambled extensively over the years.  The past couple of years I have toned done for many reasons.  One I have a 4 year old little boy now and for the past three years he is active and cannot be without me or his mom.  He doesn't want to sit for a weekend or a week with his grandmother while we go to gamble.  We have tried numerous things and it is just not fair to him.  Gambling will get you, I don't care who you are or what your bankroll is!!!  Gambling will eat you up and literally hurt you if you give it the chance and expose yourself to the downsides of it.  Some might suffer after a couple of years. Some might suffer after 5 years and yet others might suffer those effects after 10 years.  But it will eventually tear you up and spit you out.  Nothing to do with experience or knowledge or bankroll.

As far as other players laying down money on the table and being impressed or following them because of their substantial chip stacks, etc.  All I can say is to each his own.  Been there and done all that.  A few weeks ago I went with one of my employees whom is into drag cars, huge!  He is good and his rail is super fast!  However, he has a one ton pick up with a trailer and he brings a BBQ and a cooler or two, etc.  His pit is not as fancy as some of those in their $700,000.00 Prevost motor homes with their optional food truck to cater for themselves and their crew, etc., etc.  But my guy blew them into the dust when he ran against one of the money-guys!  What they heck is the difference?  I played with a guy in Vegas for a couple of years, at least every month or every other month.  We even had a car drive us to some of the spots in Southern California at times together and back.  Great times.  He was about a $250k player.  Always having a huge credit line and always having no less than $100k in front of him.  One day he was supposed to be at The Bellagio to meet me.  Turned out he was arrested and processed for bad checks regarding his credit line with one of the major casino chains there in Vegas.  If you don't pay or make arrangements that are mutually agreed to by the casino property, they will automatically deposit a check you agreed to in the credit line and if it doesn't clear, it is a crime, etc.  There are tens of thousands of prosecutions every year, in fact there are so many there is a separate credit line prosecution unit in the Clark County District Attorney's Office.  Impressed with his chip stack, LOL.

Another thing that was raised here and enormously on another board.  Bank Roll Versus Buy-In.  I only have a Bank Roll for my Vegas, Atlantic City and out of area trips.  For my local casino plays, I have a buy-in.  The buy-in I use has no stop loss.  It is my instant trip risk money.  I have been fairly successful at my local plays.  However, I am in a more rural section of the Midwest and the casinos are approximately 100 miles each way, 200 round trip taking a good 3.5 hours of travel time.  Also we have snow, blizzards and sub zero weather for 4 or 5 months a year, so it all plays a factor.  I have a very handsome employment/partnership deal that is well into the 6 figures mark with numerous benefits that are extremely valuable to me.  I also have another business opportunity forthcoming this year that will be causing a complete change in location, most likely to the west coast of the country.

As far as the way I gamble.  I have figured out there are numerous factors within baccarat.  I have wrote about them.  The sections, the tuning points, the point values, my plateaus, money management 1/3rds, etc.  The majority of the times I do employ the majority of those and it has enormously helped me.  I have not lost win money once I employed my 1/3rd system and has allowed me to win and play with such a clear mind, there is no comparison from the past decades.  As well, I am totally against all the systems and training that is and has become the talk of the gambling world because of the internet.  It has caused so many people to lose money and as well cause those that follow them, to lose theirs as well.  In baccarat, more so than any other game IMO at the casino, people tend to follow and listen to other players for one reason or another.  I am not totally against that, but those that usually preach at the table are those that usually lose the most.  Not always, but in so many cases and locales.  I have played all over, many many different locales and others on here play one locale and make up their mind as to what is right or wrong and what goes on all over the country.  So far from reality, not even funny!

About my gambling, whether local or in a large gaming locale.  I play and engage my past, actual instant realization, camaraderie and what the shoe is producing.  I play to win and do not, play to play.  I have certain beliefs based on my experiences.  I know the extreme danger of playing to play and playing to be something I am not.  Been there and done all that.  It will not happen again.  As far as going pro and another member attempting to humiliate myself with statements saying things such as, 'you won't go pro because you are 100% bull', etc., and things along those lines.  With the other areas I covered here, I just have no desire and really never ever did to go pro in anything with gambling.  I always made a good living and had fun working or owning numerous businesses.  I would never change that for life in a casino, never ever.

Like I said, you can choose what to read, what to believe, what to research and what to enjoy on this board.  Show restraint and exercise your options.  No one is twisting your arm to spar and no one is getting points or rewards for doing the fighting route, attempt at humiliation or any form of chastising.  Because a member does not choose to make a life changing career movement to take up full time gambling, to me that does not prove anything regarding his confidence or knowledge level whatsoever.  If you can honestly point to and single out a member on this board and say, 'you won't go pro because of so and so--and because of that I am calling you 100% bull poo-poo', that is down right childish, foolish and about as silly as picking someone out of a parking lot at a shopping mall, then going up to him and telling them they are dressed wrong for the day.  The statement was also made, "If you don't think you can go professional, stop advising others".  I have stated, to the best of my knowledge, what I thought (and BTW lots of others agree) about playing baccarat pro, full time, every day.  I believe I always gave my opinion and nothing more than my opinion.  That will not change.  Once again, "IMO it is a bad move to play every day, day in and day out for a career".  Doesn't mean that it is not done or cannot be successfully done.  That is my opinion as an experienced long time player.  Properties are uniquely cyclic and almost every locale has players that fade and almost all of them after a number of years will turn over and no longer be playing.  Not that they get rich and quit or move to an island paradise, more like they go broke.  I have numerous family members all over the country in the casino industry.  My daughter was a corporate exec at Seminole in Florida for almost 15 years and now in Vegas.  I have very close friends and family all over in the business.  Couple that with playing in many locales, I have seen it repeatedly.  Vegas, Southern California, Atlantic City, Connecticut and parts of the Midwest.  That is what I base my decision to form my opinion on regarding 'going pro'.  Oh lord, I know people that are great race car drivers, hunters, and sports people.  They all have careers and would never ever change that for many reasons.  Doesn't not make them one bit less knoweldabgle or competent that a pro in their own sport or business, etc.  Not one bit.

I appreciate the people on here and a few are Vic, Ted009, Luengyeh, VoRouge, NathanDetroit, AsymBac Guy, Esoito, Garfield and others...including Gizmotron (but he squared off on me on another board that was mostly about humor, pun and insults--but he is still a great guy in my book).  Liking people or talking with them is no endorsement or approval of their gambling skills or knowledge.  The same as in real life.  One of my neighbors is a law enforcement officer.  I grew up in South Florida in the Miami Vice days of the 1970's and first half of the 1980's.  I was also in law enforcement.  And, in fact, I went down to South Florida in 1996 and every one of my high school class and other numerous friends were either dead from gun battles, drug over doses or just getting out of federal prison from their lengthy RICO and drug cases they caught back at the same time except for 2 out of about 30 I looked up.  Back to my neighbor.  We talk, help each other, loan each other things, etc.  No problem.  But his law enforcement beliefs and actions are not my style or to my taste.  But, I over look that when I see him next to my house, doesn't matter what he does away from the block.  Basically, the same here.  What's the difference if someone slings hamburgers, cleans up haz mat spills or works in a Victoria's Secret store folding G-strings or is a PRO PLAYER?  People are people and you never know who they really are or what they really know. Point being, I could have turned a blind-eye on my neighbor long ago for the beliefs and the assumptions I possess about him regarding his profession.  However, I didn't and I am glad I did not because we have a fairly decent relationship and have helped each other numerous times and shared many things that are positive, beyond a reasonable doubt!  And when you come to think about it, that stuff happens right here on this board.

My dad told me something that I always remembered.  "A devil you know is much better than dealing with a devil you don't know".

Yep, I learned by simply watching a few shoes and reading a thing or two!

Absolutely!  So easy, and of course all in proportion to what you can afford to bankroll, whether it is a few hundred a hand or a few thousand, you can't lose!!!!  Pretty much doesn't matter.  Basically taking from a $100 to $500 to a few thousand a day from the casino.  Like snatching a lollipop from a baby, no sweat, none, zero.

In fact the articles about some of the largest casinos in Las Vegas surviving a few years back only (ONLY) because they had up and running multiple properties in Macau to profit from baccarat and funnel the money back to Vegas to float their bottom line to survive--are all false media!~!!!!!!  Of course.

And not only that, all the hundreds of properties around the USA adding or added baccarat in the past few years, are not tallying their money up correct!  They all miscounted it and instead of all being positive on player take, they are all wrong, every one of them!

The list goes on but I have no time to write.  I have been stupid all these past years.  I have only been playing once or twice a week or 4 times a month.  I am turning in my resignation to my partner today and going straight to the casino.  I know I can win every day, day in and day out, not sweat!  I should be able to cover what my employment paid which is about $400.00 a day plus medical, car, expenses and trivial stuff like commission and bonuses monthly and yearly.  Hell, that is all peanuts, I realize it now!  $500.00 a day, $15,000.00 a month tax free!  Yes sir.  My eyes are opened!!!!  Oh, man, I miscalculated, $1,000.00 a day is $30,000.00 a month and right around $350,000.00 tax free a year!!!!  I am so happy and yet so embarrassed as to all my false thoughts I had for so long!!!!

After reading a few things and thinking for a min and a half, I finally found the answer.  Forget, positive progressions, forget money management, forget 1/3rds, forget sections, forget turning points, forget it all.  All I have to do, you too--is follow Ping Pang Pong and when he is busy stacking his chips, I should then follow Timmy Kimmy Boku!  Got it!  Damn, on the way to the casino to get that easy free money!!!!

Baccarat is played differently and with strong decisive and stubborn beliefs by the highest majority of the players.

Players usually subscribe to the absurd notion that they can win with simply either following the last decision or wagering opposite the last decision.  Problem is, regression to the mean, and that will usually--but not always, come within each shoe several times.  At times, it may not come within the shoe.  There are actually three ways, each shoe will produce winning hands and confuse the players with their stubborn belief how the winning hands will be produced.

There are 3 sets of 3 things that will happen in most all shoes.  IMO, when you learn those things and proper techniques to give yourself the advantage, you will be happier with the results than you have experienced in the past.

The 3 sets of things are as follows. 3 sets of events, 3 point values and a cluster of shoes that are actually winnable (usually 3 at most).  There are clear 'sections', 'turning points', 'player plateaus', 'money management' and 'positive progressions'.  (personally I think negative progressions are extremely dangerous and puts the highest majority of those losing into worse financial shape).

I explain a few of the things within the following

Overpowering the Shoe!

Very possible, but it is entirely up to the players and these days, more so than ever before--the players seemingly rather challenge each other than play 'old school', sad buy extremely factual.

I wrote about it a while back.  It is there, it is real and some of the best and most experienced old-school players know it.

Been there and done it many times, but it takes others and everyone at the table in order to have it come about.

It is possible, but it takes perfect camaraderie, extreme motivation and energy-energy and energy.  Also complete trust and most of all, (hard as hell to control except for picking your properties to play at) is others staying away that have that ingrained and horrible "off-the-wall" thought process which I finally got it defined.  That thought process these people bring to the table is, "Hey, they are winning over there--I will just bet opposite of them or at least the largest of them totaled and then give them that 'you are stupid look' when I win and kill their mojo and the table" personality.

If you think you can come in a game, give the stink eye, laugh when you killed the mojo, and then prosper by attempting to make camaraderie with the already existing players, think again. It doesn't work that way.

Here it is, not bad.  I purposely did this with you guys in mind and to try to establish say a BetSelection precedent for myself.

When I got there and sat down there was already a super strong section just starting to vanish and 2 Fortune 7's already within a smaller section of 9 hands.  I bought in and went to the restroom.  Went and got something to drink and returned.  I did not want to play the last half of this shoe.  And as I so thought, I was correct.  Terrible after such a great first half.

End of shoe, shuffle and new deck.  Everything ready, adjusts and people adjusting themselves, etc.

I bought in with $1,200.00.  It is a $10.00 to $2,000.00 limits and $50.00 max on the Fortune 7 wagers.  There was a few people I regularly play there with and some new faces.  Had a shot of Sambuca with 2 others while we were waiting and my DiSaronno on the rocks just came.  I normally don't drink when I play locally for a few reasons but I did last night.

Played a few hands during the first 20-25% of the shoe, we are around hand 20 or so and probably won a few and lost an equal few.  Then it comes on strong and changes up, what I detailed prior as the clear term 'The Turning Point'.  I remembered you all and my postings here, which I rarely really ever do while playing at the casino live.  So I wanted to employ the 1-3-2-6 a few times and clearly address my 1/3rd, 1/3rd, 1/3rd money management style.  I was good for this shoe and next shoe before I would head out and drive back home.

At the clear 'turning point', I went in with $150.00 and won, stacked it to $450.00 with the winning and another $150.00 out of my chip stack.  Won that second wager and moved $300.00 to the next wager and $600.00 back into my chip stack.  Now I was covered and whole again, actually being conscious of this and dwelling on it--freed up my mind, I would think the exact same if I was wagering $50 or $500 or $5,000.   I also won that third wager and with the now accumulated $600.00, I moved it all to the fourth wager when I was ready to wager again with the additional $300.00 from my chip stack to total  a $900.00 wager of all the casino's money--nothing out of my buy-in on my behalf.  Absolutely being conscious of this and keeping that in my fore-thought up front.  My buddy next to me, consistently wagers with a haphazard 'off-the-cuff' type of thought process.  The only thing he actually consistently does in wagering is wager more when he is losing trying to make it up.  The absolute WRONG thing to do 100%, no in fact--1,000%!

So I am on my 4th wager in my 1-3-2-6 positive progression wagering style.  I am conscious of it and very relaxed.  So, I thought it was time to start my 5 Wager, 4 X's Parlay side-bet.  I throw up anther $200.00 on top of the $900.00 wager I had riding and was calling to call that my $200 4 X's Parlay separate wager.  I had that $6,200.00 pay-day in mind, off that $200.00 for parlaying it 4 times.

At this point, I am now, even on my buy-in except for the $200.00 I had riding on my regular wager for the 4 X's Parlay side thing, and my vision was clear, my mind was clear and motivation was building positively.

SIDENOTE:  Why is it your 'casino friends' as I call them, see you winning, then they wager opposite of you and they lose.  Then, when they lose 3 or 4 times doing that, then they ask you when you have no current feelings or key-triggers ready and they follow you.  Then I lose and they cock their head to one side and say, 'Good lord, I thought you knew what you were doing'?  Happens all the time!

So, I am on my 4th wager in my 1-3-2-6 positive progression for $900.00 and win.  I also had my separate 4 X's Parlay ride-along with it as well.  I put the $1,800.00 into my chip stack, sideways of course to stay conscious (I think IMO is vitally important to clear mind and motivation on a positive level) and set my $400.00 separate 4 X's Parlay wager ($200 + $200) off to the side of my primary chip stack.  bare in mind, this is my 'lucky money' and I don't wager it every time, might be 5 or 10 hands or many more between the time I actually throw it out and time it sits in front of me and off to the side of the primary chip stacks just 'waiting'.  Yes, it appears to be the same money-same bankroll-no difference type of stuff.  But not really, because it gives me a huge motivation factor and something that is hanging there-waiting and I get bored less when I am not wagering because there is something and some reason I am waiting.  It also is 'lucky money' and that means to be, if I loss it nothing is really affected by the loss of it.  Kind of like going into the supermarket and buying a product that is truly a 2 for 1 deal that you would have purchased anyway and storing one of the products for later.  Later you get the credit from your wife for the partial 'free meal'.  Also, for myself--it allows me a clearer and more patient way of thinking that it is my 'sideways' money and there is no rush and has nothing to do with my primary wagering and does not 'have to be wagered' every time type of money in the chip stack.

I twiddled a bit and made some small wagers and pretty much killing time.  The small section with the 'turning point' vanished and went into the horrible 1's, 2's and sometimes 3's.  Nothing to follow or wager on for the cut or the repeat, IMO.  At the end of the shoe, after hand 65 I found another clear 'turning point' and get prepped once again for the 1-3-2-6 positive progression.  This time I figured I would try the $150.00 starting wager once again.  I won the first wager and lost the second one with a total of $450.00, $300.00 our of my primary chip stack.  But, for purposes here, I will count the $450.00 as all my money since the $150.00 win chips on the first wager was already rightfully mine.

The shoe died and my buddy wagered $10.00 on both the Banker and the Player side to finish off the shoe.  This casino will not do any 'free-hands' whatsoever.  The next shoe started, I was ready.  I started at a distinctive point I was comfortable with and one I would classify as a clear 'turning point', IMO.  I went in with $100.00 for the first wager.  I won that and went in immediately on the subsequent hand with another $100.00 out of my chip stack and the win $100.00 for the total of a $300.00 wager. I won that one also and then prepared to wager $200.00 on the next one, but held back and put the $400.00 'up-money' in my chip stack as well.  I found another section I fell in love with and wagered the next $200.00 wager on and as well, I stacked that $400.00 4 X's Parlay wager for its 2nd bet form the previous shoe that I was holding.  [Right about this point if I not mistaking, my buddy next to me-turns to me and asks, 'what is it now' like he was real frustrated and losing money.  But he wagers almost every friggen hand!  He doesn't know how to sit and wait or think anything through.]

So, now I am sitting on my $200.00 3rd wagering attempt in the progression schedule I am using.  I pulled it down and throw up $50.00 on some alternating 'chop-chop' attempts that fizzled and went to 'doubles' and that was short lived.  I won about 5 and lost I think 6.  So I was down $50.00, just the shoe went terrible and I wanted to play a few hands and keep some kind of momentum going.  I found another clear 'turning point' and pushed up the $200.00 progression 3rd wager attempt. I won that one and then got ready for the 4th attempt in the progression with the $600.00 wager.  I took the $400.00 from the previous hand and then moved another $200.00 from my chip stack into that, which was the reserve win from the 2nd hand where I wagered the $300.00 amount.  Now, once again, I had entirely the casino's money up and my original $200.00 I had invested in this as my liability was back in my chip stack after winning that 2nd wager.  So, I am sitting with the $600.00 and my $400.00 4 X's Parlay wager on top of it as well.

I push the $1,000.00 wager, the $600.00 progression 4th bet and the $400.00 Parlay attempt out there on my choice.  Somehow, for about the first time tonight, everyone followed me and made mention of that fact.  LOL, I don't like to be the fall guy!  I won that hand and now I am sitting with the $800.00 Parlay wager to be placed next and put my $1,200.00 win into my chip stack as well.

So, my two successful positive progressions netted me a total of $2,550.00 after I took out the $450.00 which I lost earlier on its 2nd attempt that failed.  Actually $300.00 (2 X's the $150.00 I had invested in it and the $150.00 I won that I pressed, etc.)  but I am whole and ahead, more than 200% my buy-in with the win money set aside, completely forgetting about the Parlaying wagering I was still working with.

I already made up my mind, I am leaving at the end of next shoe and I want to make the 4 X's Parlay work tonight.  Attitudes started at the table with a lady dealer that rarely deals the game at the property.  My buddy got back most of what he lost and now he was obviously anxious and pestering me.  I always say that, I will not let others bother me or interfere with my thought process, but it usually does in reality.  So I convinced myself that I would only attempt the Parlay wager another 3 times for the $800, the $1,600.00 and the $3,200.00 wagers.  I wanted that $6,200.00 profit off this tonight, I was somehow convinced it would happen.

I found a good spot after a few more hands and throw my $800.00 Parlay wager up and won that one too.  I have two wagers left, one for $1,600.00 and the last one for $3,200.00 which I would just push $1,200.00 of it to my buddy next to me, for the over $2k limit at this place.  I won the $800.00 hand with a natural 9 over the opposite side's natural 8. Drama is building, why does this always happen this way?  I say that, because normally after winning with a 9 over an 8, my next several hands no matter what I do are not very good.

I am all set for the $1,600.00 wager and push it up.  I lost it.  I went over to the cashier's cage and cashed out the win money from the two positive progression schedules I prevailed at.  I went back to finish the shoe and said to myself I would play another shoe after that one making it a total of three rather than the 2 I promised to myself when I got there.  Then the shoe turn miserable once again.  Everyone was losing and tempers started.  I seen two of the players banging their chips when I was walking back to the table from the cashier's cage.  I looked at the board, I packed it in.  I went back and cashed out the buy-in and the rest I had.

I never got a chance to employ the 1/3rd, 1/3rd, 1/3rd money management system I use, which let's me increase my chip stack by 1/3rd of the win and put 1/3rd away and keep the remaining 1/3rd or so in reserve in case I lost my buy-in and want to play additional time.  But, if I did, I would have increased my primary stack with the original buy-in by say $800-$850.00 and then cashed out the $1,600.00-$1,700.00 when I did the $2,550.00 or so. I wanted so bad to include this in the example last night, but things moved too quick in a short order of time.  I didn't get to the casino to like 10:30PM and it was about 1:00am when I cashed out.  I would get home at about 3am and had to wake up at 6:30am to get to the office to open up for the guys.  But if I played longer I would have definitely started my M.M. schedule with the increased buy-in 'primary chip-sack' and pocketed the other 2/3rds for keep and reserve, etc.

My straight up wagers were working, could not hit a Fortune 7.  I was fueling my Fortune 7 wagers with the odd ball straight up wagers I was making when I was not into a 1-3-2-6 positive progression.  Meaning, I would wager say $125.00 and win.  My next wagers I would throw up $25.00 on 5 of them for the Fortune 7.   But I really tried to get some fuel just for posting here and that was the purpose of the night.  If the board didn't change so quick and all the brew-ha-ha of the players, I would have stayed and got into the 1/3rd money-management style I use but I know what would have not ultimately happened because of the way it was deteriorating.

Baccarat Forum / Players being obnoxious @ the table
February 02, 2017, 11:47:04 AM
Years ago, like prior to 2004 or so, they would never ever dream about it, never.

But now at most places I go, there seems to always be at least one player at the table that has a sick and twisted sense of humor.

Here is an example.  Everyone is on the Banker and say the Player returns a total of zero and the Banker returns a total of 6 or even 7.  That idiotic player will say '9' loud just as the dealer is flipping the 3rd card over for the Player side, even thou he too wagered on the Banker side.

After a while I said to this one, " 'WTF' man, seriously we all know you can't change a card value but why would you say that you want the other side to increase in value and we all lose, including you"?  He answered me, 'because when everyone calls for a monkey or the card they need for the opposite side to lose, it seems that the majority of the times the side would get a high value, so I think the opposite'.

LOL.  Whatever, it is the new breed with the consistent always wagering for the cut, no matter what. I guess.

Baccarat Forum / The Redundancy of Naive
January 30, 2017, 09:55:41 AM
I have to say it and it is not directed at anyone in particular.  Read again, "not at you or anyone in particular on this board".

It is so prevalent and I do believe even more so than other games.  Baccarat.

Here is what I am referring to.

Any set wagering schedule that relies on the previous hands.  Such as, wager on the opposite side after 'XYZ' happens or after a series of set happenings, then wager on the following 'whatever' to happen.

It is mostly caused by the system sellers, the trainers, the scammers, the spammers, the on-line gaming websites, etc.  IMO of course.

The Reality:

It is completely naïve and being naïve to the max to believe the claims of the 5 groups of people I stated above.

It will not pan out the way they want you so badly believe.

It cannot and will not.  If you totally combat that, buy it and get rich, then we don't have to deal with you and the garbage you throw out, adding to the fuel of the fire with the systems and mechanical secrets that cannot and will not be redundantly profitable in their published ways. All they do is put a twist on the truth and the outcomes creating a grey area and then convince you that the key to easy profits is knowing how to conquer that area which is really only their own exaggerated make believe!!!! So the foolish-naïve and inexperienced will pay their hard earned money to obtain the 'holy grail'.  Period.

Re: another system and a summation from another member:

One member says:  "It's obfuscation of coherent functionality for the purpose of misdirection and confusion".

Baccarat Forum / Psychological and Reading the board
January 30, 2017, 09:20:51 AM
So many will say complete and utter nonsense!  Others will say its random and it is a coin flip and nothing matters personally or otherwise.  Yet others will say, wager the 2nd one to cut to the opposite side after 6 doubles and a triple and it will win 70% of the time at non-Indian casinos, etc., etc., and so on. (And it appears with so many on this board that the so-called mechanical system for sale and bought for your hard earned money is the best and most honest thing since sliced bread!)  And yet, others will agree.

Psychological plays on us--Don't let negativity overcome you.

Yes, IMO it does happen and happen regularly.  Here is my outline for what I believe and what we are missing and not recognizing when our psychological state of mind is off.

PSYCHOLOGICAL

    Problem                                                              Answers

How you go in and play,                           "Visions and Reality"

Frame of mind,                                        "Wins/Units/Losses/Bankroll Ability"

Focusing,                                                 "Clear Mind"

Frustrations-Problems-Texting, Etc.,          "Relaxed and Concentrating"

WHAT IS THERE AND MISSED OR CAPITALIZED ON

Sections and Clusters

Changing (like hunting):  One side up and other side low.  Opposite side brought up high and then bounces back and forth for a while.

Numbers:  Weak-Strong.  Wins w/low to medium total point values versus high on both sides.

Previous:    'The Change'  Oh boy and will it change.

The Structure:    'The Build Up'  How the card got to where it is.

Fizzling Out/The Turning Point:   Probably the single easiest thing to spot (I posted in detail about The Turning point but pulled it down after 85 views and not one response)  Typical things most players see and catch and then all of them will subconsciously say, 'We didn't want to get off of it so we gave it all back'.  It is like and amusement ride, great while it lasts and it lasts only a short time.  Some notice it and most do not.  Runs end, always, always, always, always.

Lots of what I am breaking down is the ability to have a clear mind and be conscious of 'regression to the mean' traits in baccarat.  There most certainly is a trail, an avenue along the way in many shoes of baccarat.  However no set mechanical system or scheduling can be redundantly correct.

A great analogy would be, walking around an amusement park on a real busy holiday weekend.  The walk, the wait, the weather and all the hassle going along with it, that is the majority of the time.  Then there is the rides and the sheer ecstasy of eating some of the fantastic food.  Take the actual time and 'up-feelings' from the latter two and compare them to that of the first group of time wasters and frustrations you encounter.  Same thing at the baccarat table.

General Discussion / B&M casino players?
January 23, 2017, 03:23:13 AM
Just curious as to whom is on the board that is a B&M casino player in the USA?
#925
Well, I thought I would post a bit about a couple of places off-strip.  There has been some talk lately on the board here about EZ Baccarat and the mid-strip places.  All of the places listed below will have plenty of EZ Bac tables.

I posted in that thread as to my opinion and tastes somewhat.  EZ Baccarat has been resisted by many of the larger properties mid-strip for various reasons, mostly because of the lack of commission realized from the EZ Baccarat version of the game.  I am not going into the merits of that here.

Mid-Strip is fine, but once you realize you can easily get sucked in, live the lifestyle of someone you are not, spend more time then you really know you should at the tables or in Vegas, etc., etc., etc., get real.  Enjoy Vegas for being a great place with tons of options and the ability to lead a normal vacation, gaming experience and day-to-day extended get away gambling and so on.  The aura, atmosphere, dealers, pit people, other players, etc., are a different bred and much more realistic than playing at the huge mid-strip casino properties. Most off-strip casinos have a $5k limit or perhaps a $3k limit per hand.  Anywhere from $10 to $25 min. or so.  Same at 'The D' downtown, etc. Palace Station will entertain higher limits depending on front money or credit lines.  Red Rock has a $10K/Max limit off the street as The Tropicana does also.

Probably the single best way to describe what I am trying to convey, is Disney World as compared to a pretty good all around Family Entertainment Center for the kids.  My kids have been to Disney World down in Florida, sure and $10,000.00 later after the week, they have more fun and laughter and fulfillment at the local Family Entertainment Centers with the arcades, the snacks, the laser tag, the bounce house, the bumper cars and the bowling.  Around $150 will cover all three of them all day.

I do like both versions, especially with the right players I still would prefer regular commissioned baccarat over EZ Bac.  Anyway, I received a PM and someone wanted some hints on other non-strip places to play at.  So here goes.

Palace Station.  Just north of the mid-strip on the west side of the I-15 interstate.  This is probably the number #1 heaviest played casino with Baccarat by Asians and others.  The Oyster Bar there is great!  They have some decent food without the celebrity chef fancy restaurants.  Their steakhouse is pretty decent BTW.  It is super close to the strip, off-strip without it being in the suburbs.  Part of Station casinos as well.

Gold Coast.
Again off-strip but not far away with numerous places surrounding it.  In a sense a bit down-graded and crude from Palace Station, lots of smoke, lots of Asians, lots of continuous action.  I have never stayed at their property, but I know others that have.  Decent place, not high line, just lots of action.  West side of the strip out on West Flamingo, The Rio and The Palms are both adjacent to it.  This is just west of the rear of Caesar's Palace if you know where that is and of course across the I-15 interstate.

Tropicana on the lower strip and Red Rock Resort out 10 miles west at the Red Rock Canyon side of Vegas.  Both have a couple of tables of baccarat with either $50/100 to $10k limits in their high limit small rooms.  Red Rock used to have a couple or 3 mini on the main floor with $25/$5k limits.  Both are great properties but not mid-strip. Also, The D downtown, one bac table in the high limit section up top.  $25-100 Min to $5/Max.  It is downtown, loud, rowdy, and lots of Jerry Springer action.  Lots of cops, lots of arrests, lots of females flashing their breasts and panties, lots of drunk fights, etc.  Fun at times.  If you are a 'head in your hand' type of player, stay away from downtown.

Sunset Station. A sister property to Palace Station and pretty good bac action most of the time.  What I like about Sunset Station is, it is away from the strip. Straight out Sunset Road on West Sunset.  Not on the west side of Vegas toward Red Rock Canyon, but it actually sits in the city of Henderson.  Which is East/Southeast of the Vegas Airport.  The road on the southern side of the Vegas Airport is Sunset.  Take that all the way east until it turns into West Sunset, the casino property will be on your right side, Southside of Sunset Road.  Directly across the street from the casino is The Galleria Sunset mall and shopping area, probably 100-150 stores and much more if you count the immediate surrounding area.  The whole area around Sunset Station Casino is commercial and lots of 'normal' stuff to do if you step outside the casino.  Unlike the strip which is all overpriced, abnormal and touristy. They have an IMAX theatre right there as well.  And, they have those huge leather recliners that you can actually fall asleep in!!!  Seriously, they are bad!  But, I like the property cause if I won and want to take a complete day off of gaming, I can literally walk everywhere around and spend a whole day into the night for like $100.00.  Like I said, 'normal'.  You have IHop, Denny's, Perkin's, as well as all your other fast food places and best of all, there are about 20 regular family places around it, like Mexican, Italian and there is a off-the-hook place that has steak burgers and frozen deserts that are the type you keep eating after you are full.  The name of the place is Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, it is directly south of the property on Warm Springs Road.  The absolute best part of all of this is, if you are staying there for several days or a week, you can go all around the place and enjoy all kinds of food instead of eating that 'casino' type of food.  I always have liked restaurants outside of the casino properties.

I just really don't like the mid-strip any longer.  Sure I will pop in a place or two or go to the mall attached to Planet Hollywood.  But, if at Sunset Station, I would also go straight west to the strip and go to Town Square Las Vegas.  It is another conglomeration of shops and restaurants.  It is right at the Interstate 15 and the strip, just south of the Airport.

Those are the places off the top of my head I was thinking about.
