Since the forum got functional again, I see negligible discussions and debates here. Most of the members who were pretty active seem to got silenced at once. Why so?

The ones that were silenced were the ones that were abusive, bringing issues that were not board related or infringing on O.P.'ers threads and causing drama.  They will blame it all on me, but they were the ones that desired control, content and rule of the board.  That behavior will seldom fly on any board, WoV, VMB, etc.  The four members I believe you are referring to are:  Mark/Gizmotron, Junket King-Lugi-Eaglelite, and the other 10 or so sock puppet and alias names, Xander, SoxFan and of course 21 Aces.  I do not believe there was anyone else. 

To the best of my knowledge they are all on another board that they control and say what they want including hatred posts to this board as well WoV, etc. So be it, it is a free world, this is a private business entity the same as a casino, you can be asked to leave and trespassed if the casino desires.  However, with that said, all anyone has to do to post and use this forum is follow the rules. 

And, I will publicly state.  Anyone is allowed back here and can post, as long as they follow the rules and do not cause drama, are respectful and do not bring other boards business here.  Like on GamblingForums where they devote threads to hatred, drama and chastising members of various other message boards.

But I will not have members that go on to threads of people posting with hatred, disrespect and literally and verbally driving the member into the wall with relentless and repetitive drive to grind the OP down because of conflicting beliefs, theories and experiences which is exactly what was happening on a daily basis with those 5 members I mentioned above.

I understand that maintaining discipline was very important but you should also see that none is writing here regularly these days but You, me, Victor, Asym and occassionally a few posts here and there from others. Check topics started. Same thing continues. IF it continues like this, I bet this forum will turn dead soon.

I myself am revising my relationship to this forum this December 2019 for good, depending on what happens during the month.

It has to either change toward the positive or stop. It's the most healthy for all parties involved.

And I visited another forum and all they do is implode!  The contolling dominate members move from forum to forum try to rule and control it and then all they do is implode amongst themselves and they move on to yet another Forum.  But like Victor said you get out what you put in.

It's kind of odd these days.

Most, if not all of the various gambling type forums have become sanctuary sites for people who will complain about anything, and do it in a loud and continuous voice that never ends.  These people used to get warned, then banned for basically not playing well with others.  Not it appears that you are rewarded for being about to out shout and out gross the next guy.

The incessant junk about the WWVegas site has been going on FOR YEARS with the same few people rehashing over and over about how bad it is.

But they continue to go there in spite of it being horrible, according to them.   It's really is comical to read what they post.  These are supposed to be adults, and successful (if you believe their tales) gamblers!

Several years ago almost every gambling site had it's own dedicated group of individuals who really played and studied the game, be it roulette, baccarat and to a smaller amount even craps.

Now it's merely whining about somebody else and ZERO actual gambling discussion.

Luckily there are still a few who continue to play, continue to show a profit year after year, and just read along, all the while taking a step back and asking "Do I really want to get involved with some of these people?"

Not here, but the other sites are really a cesspool of human waste for inhabitants.

Quoted from AD above.  I re-read this many times and it is so spot-on and so accurate, it's actually sad but it's what's happening. Like I said many times, "it is what it is".

And that group of people just dwell on drama with very little actual play if any at all. I tried to keep a website more in line with actual play and discussion, with certain sections where you can open up and just post whatever you want within reason without chastising, humiliation and degradation of another and it's extremely hard to do without attracting and influencing the drama queens and kings.

That group of people will only participate if they can control and run the site to their liking, but having that would include so much negatory and derogatory things it's just plain wrong and I won't have it.

The traffic that they create is so worthless it doesn't need to be on my website, let it stay on one or two others, but most of the gambling sites are just about drama and online desires and rehashing things that will not make anyone money at all.
