Hello all, this is my first post to the forum and I thought i'd offer up an application I wrote a while back.

(Removed by Admin)

Hope I got the attachments working correctly.

This application came from something I read a while back about "patterns" having certain average lengths and betting for/against a pattern continuing. It's actually an interesting tool as it makes certain patterns easier to see. The most interesting thing it shows is how many of the patterns "close."  For example of you have a BPP quite often, it's counterpart PPB follows immediately or within one or 2 plays. Seems obvious to say, but this app can help you see what patterns are running in a shoe. It's a .Net 4.5 app (sorry apple guys) so you may have to install the .Net 4.5 framework if the installer doesn't do it automatically for you (I tried to make it automatic but sometimes it doesn't work due to rights issues.

Just unzip the file, run setup.exe and if all goes to plan, it will install and start up. To use it, just click the input buttons or type  P  B  T to enter the plays.

- I'm not trying to sell anything.
- This application doesn't turn a casino into an ATM
- This app is not in development anymore, i've moved on to other types of apps and that is the main reason i'm here.
- If this type of post/play is not your kind of thing, please pass it on by.

@Gizmotron ...I've read many of your posts and think that we are working on some similar types of AI analysis, i'm just doing it on the baccarat side. I realize you don't know me from adam, that's why I posted this app, I wanted to show you and the board i'm not some scammer. I've read your posts and saw that you have progressed into AI analysis as have I. I've found it promising like you have. There aren't that many "REAL" (non-scammers) people out there doing anything similar so I wanted to see if you are interested in talking "code" sometime? It would be helpful to have a counterpart to bounce issues off of.

Welcome to the board.  Hope it turns out positive.  I did verify this member and there are no red flags that I could see.

That is, reference email. Ref IP, etc.  Nothing to vhevk regarding content and purpose.  Thanks, Glen.

And welcome from me, too.

It would be good if you and Giz can liaise and bounce ideas off each other.

Who knows -- it might even lead to a revolutionary joint venture.   Now there's a thought...

Gizmotron

I'm not that gullible. I won't download Mr Happy Face's software and unzip it on my computer. I was not born yesterday. This thing is aimed right at me. Because of the size it clearly depends on libraries already on my computer. That gives it an easy path to do some really invasive or destructive stuff if the programmer wanted this to happen. I don't like the name of it either. Anything with "Breaker" in it is kind of a, "I told you so."

We do not need to share code or AI ideas. I have been extremely transparent regarding my randomness observations and techniques. AI is just a basic functionary tool. It's just today's dazzling programming attraction. I used it to give endless examples of my bet selection process to students that wanted a lot of examples. I outperform my AI work on an order of magnitude of several times when I just play live at a casino. It all comes down to how much functionality you want to program into the App. AI is just a wow status symbol. Now if you have programmed a brain that learns and programs itself then that is impressive. Beating Roulette is too simple to need to learn beyond what works.

So we'll take that as a 'no'.

Mind you, I too would be reluctant to run a program from someone who has only just joined and about whom we know nothing.

That would be a very good way to install malware, a keylogger to grab passwords and the like,  to steal ones identity, and deliver a payload that will trash the OS on a certain trigger -- assuming our newbie intends harm.

But what if he/she is completely innocent of all those calumnies?  O:-)  What if the software is no more or no less than it purports to be?

Mike

Regarding potential malware, you can always upload the file to virustotal to check it before running.

https://www.virustotal.com/#/home/upload

Just be aware that there are usually one or two false positives.

Of course, even if an executable passes the tests it doesn't necessarily mean that the program is safe, but it's better than nothing. Perhaps ironically, free software is often perceived as potentially more dangerous than paid-for software, unless it's open source and you compile it yourself. More and more programs are being run through a browser these days, which is really the only foolproof way, as long as the browser is secure.

I'm totally with Gizmo on this, mind boggling that somebody expects somebody to download an .exe file then expect you to run it,

Perhaps esoito might be keen??
Maths is great like that.  Once it's been proven that no method exists to do what you claim, it's not necessary to go through the details of your system to prove that it doesn't work.  You claim that it does something which can be proven impossible, therefore your claim is false. The details don't matter.  I use the names Junket, Junket King, Lugi, Mark Teruya, Rolex, Relex, Rolex Watch, Mark, Eaglite, JohnO & More depending on what day it is and whom I am attempting to be!

Playing devils advocate, but I am not an IT guy, all I know is running Fire Fox and other apps that were set-up on my office commuter equipment, rather than straight off the browser, etc., I have had virtually no problems opening files from business related matters.

However, I do not engage in what some of you do and Gizmo does.  I will leave that up to you guys.

I have had contact with this w member through email, he has confided in me what forum he is currently on and the reasons to join ours as well as other personal info, etc.

I ran a few checks on his IP, his email and other things because of his initial contact.  Nothing came back with commercial ventures or negative red flags.  However, 'by proxy' and 'fronts' are always possible with anyone on the internet.  If someone will go to a Fed Ex location or another 'public' computer or other computer that not effect their own system and open this and found out what it is, that would be great.  If not and there is something negative here, it needs to be removed.

Please update.  Thanks, Glen.

It's just a .Net application that displays patterns that I wrote a couple of years ago. I thought i'd offer it up as something slightly interesting, just to make an introduction, maybe some friends and start a conversation with a fellow developer.

As esoito said, "I'll take that as a no."

Glen, sure, vet the app, if its something you want to keep on the board someone might find it interesting.

Thanks Glen and esoito, best wishes to everyone.

I sent you an email, f you like--you can respond to it and we can possibly make the road a bit smoother?  Read it, thanks, Glen.

As far as the rest of the members here, maybe you were too hard on this person and just maybe his attempt to join up and converse with legitimacy should have been done in a different way or after a bit of existence on the board, maybe not?  Anyway, read the following which are my thoughts on joining up and attempting to 'fit in'.

On the message boards, usually by history, which you might or might not know, first posts that request things or bring forward great successful systems or publications, etc., are generally and with the majority of them---usually resulting in spam-sales-phishing-cons-and many other types of similar people portraying themselves initially as, wanting to help and explore or assist everyone in the gambling community.  On the other hand, there are those that have a total innocent motive and they are real, trustworthy and are no different than myself, you or other members of long-standing backgrounds on a message board, etc.

As well, outside the message board communities, being in unrelated business fields of various types over the past 3-4 decades, an employer or manager of a business usually looks a bit more cautious when a brand new potential employee comes to him offering a level above what the regular 'run-of-the-mill' employee usually does.  Of course, some of those people offering to make the employer all kinds of money and outperform any 2 or 3 workers might actually be 100% what he says.  But all managers and employers have experience with those kinds as well.  And yes, I have had some people that came to me looking for employment and promised everything and I wished everyone else were exactly like them.  On the other hand, the exact opposite happened within a short period of time and the experience with that particular person was a complete waste of time, money and energy.  However, the good gets mixed with the 'not so good' in, most everything we do.

Thanks, Glen.

Vet the entire zip file. The app might be clean but the zip file could be nefarious.

I would suggest discussing your views on what it was that your software attempted to accomplish. You created a decision making process based on conditions that the software observed. It must have had some kind of awareness capability. Just say what it is. I don't need to look at a chart. I've seen tons of them.

I tried to change the world between 2004 and 2007. I invented my own unique version of the internet. I created a hybrid  version of a melting together of HTML 3.0 and an unauthorized version of XML. My download files were all scrutinized by security experts before being available to the public. I built the cross platform browsers that supported the new markup language. It died on the vine. It is not true that if you build a better mousetrap they will beat a path to your door. I know that timing and the perception of value are far more important than innovation.

There's a windows version too. It was and still is a work of art. It can't get a virus. It downloads an entire website in a single compressed file. It can store the websites in single files or it can append the web pages to an existing file. All the images travel with the markup language, like a PDF file does. The user can make changes to each file they download. Like for instance, recalling important passages by tagging the sections of a website with memorable phrases that jog the memory. It can be used to publish a weekly newspaper or give out a business's catalog. It can archive a discussion forum.

My point is that there is a way to share software that gains the public trust. Softpedia cleared my shareware downloads. It's still up at TuCows.

I have talked to this 'member-that-attempted' to come on board.

He had some problems with his first 'handle/name' that he signed up with some time ago.  Reason being, he is active on another board and with the attitude and the Admin of that board, he desired a different name on our board, which I agree with.  At first I thought it was a bit suspicious, but he reasoned it out and was pretty much spot on in relation to how the other board could and probably would view his membership here, etc.

He could have done numerous things by proxy and by '3rd person', etc., and still reinvented another name for our board, thus did not have contact me and wipe out his first account, etc.  But he wanted to do it the 'right' way, or the 'proper' way, should I say.

I have his cell phone number, his real name, his primary email address, I even have a county tax assessor read-out on his residence ownership with his name on it.  His IP address I have verified is located at the residence he told me he resides at and requested I verify it so he could be a 'real person' here, etc.

This gentlemen, IMO, is not a fake, a phony, a scam artist or anything of the likes.  I won't go into anything else, but he is a real person, without a history here or elsewhere and I have no reason to doubt anything he said and his motive is strictly as he so stated.  Could I be wrong, yes.  However, I have not one inclination that I am, or he has lied, or he has bad motives, etc.  none whatsoever.

You guys are the community.  I did my job for my board in the verification of this gentlemen and attempting to bring him on board. I understand his concern about the 'other board' and I am familiar with them somewhat and that is the only reason I have all of his information at his own request and authorization for me to verify and set up a new account here after the deletion of the original one.

None of the info will be released to anyone, I assure you it is real, non altered and I verified it honestly and accurately.

Running executables have nothing to do with your browser, other than provide a mechanism which to download the file.  Exe's interact directly with the OS, which is why everybody needs to be extremely cautious when running from any unknown source (even trusted sources are prone to including Malware).   Best practice, never ever do so.

Softpedia is ripe with adware / malware in most of their D/L's.  Potentially installing code to use your free CPU cycles for crypto-currency mining.  Used to use tucows back in the 80's/90's, amazed it still exists.
