Other people on gambling boards and groups of people

Because someone or some group of people say something like, "It can't be done" or, "That's not the way to accomplish something", or "I tried that and it cannot work", etc.., the person commenting is not definitive by any means.  It is their definitive statement, yes—and most likely written to protect themselves, their interest, their business, their group or circle they represent.  Usually in almost all cases, especially about gambling. 

However, if what all those 'know it alls' and all those "super elite gamblers" always say, 'it can't be done', etc., then we probably would not have no internet, computers, cell phones, social media, heck—even fast food restaurants, cars that are now able to drive themselves without drivers and let me throw one more in there, a successful marriage, etc., etc., and so on. 

There is a huge aggressive debate on several of the gambling boards concerning a certain elite circle of friends and supposedly expert professional elite gamblers.  They do have a huge tendency to degrade and chastise most anyone coming on their board in a public space and there are many reasons, most all of them boil down to the degradation of the person and attempting to get him to join a paid monthly subscription to what they talk about and preach. 

You know the message boards are really not much different than most of our businesses in many ways.  It is a business and someone if not more than one, makes a living at the business, just like the millions of other business within the USA and elsewhere.  I would nto be at my business and my business would not exist if we could not make a living at it, the same as this particular message board I am referring to.

So many people in here, as well as the other gambling boards, as well as in life—have limited vision, thoughts and experience.  Doesn't make them bad or better, just makes them of different frame-of-mind and possibly when you engage with those people and you have different experiences—they cannot and will never relate to those because they are convinced that their own ways are the only viable or profitable way to achieve something.  IMO. 

You know, I was called last month by a frantic insurance company on behalf of their insured.  A semi-truck overturned on a 'Limited Maintenance Road' located in a rural section of a county.  The truck and its cargo generated a hazardous spill release.  Numerous people responded as a service contractor at the request of the towing and recovery company that was on site.  I believe there was 3 Haz-Mat companies that responded and they all turned the job down. 

Various reasons were given.  It was not a 'fun' or an 'easy' job by any means whatsoever.  As well, our weather is causing all of the massive amounts of snow and ice piled up to melt without the ground getting hard, causing huge mud conditions and soft roads.  Getting multiple semi-trucks with a heavy haul, oversized detachable lowboy trailer in there that, transports excavators, front end loaders, etc., cannot be done.  Lots of provisions would have to be made and complications with the job, just about every part of it in fact.  There was also fiber optic cabling running right through the spill site.  The particular county emergency manager is possibly the highest profile, biggest pain in the rear to work with in our entire state. 

As well, the insurance company has a habit within the industry of challenging every invoice and then sending them out for audit to a third party consulting company that will always find in favor of the insurance company as to why huge discounts should be given, etc.  And, several other things that can and probably would happen with the job, but maybe not? 

So, I went out, surveyed the site and called the insurance company back.  I told them outright how I estimated it and then multiplied my figures by 1.5 times and I figured on the high side.  Perfectly straight up and how I came to most likely the highest estimate they got for the job, if they were even able to get one from anyone else around here.  They said, fine, send the paperwork over and they would sign it and for us to get started right away. 

I told them, on this particular job I would have to have prepayment of 100% deposit and as well I would write into the agreement a 15% cushion in our favor as a ceiling on the job.  They said okay.  The next day I had the agreement back and a check as I requested.

So, the job is not easy, but there is usually a way and in this case turned out very profitable, very much so.  And if I didn't have the experience that I do have with the industry, I would have done the job, waited months and then went through an extended negotiations and settlement period, having our invoicing discounted by large amounts, probably barely covering expenses or losing money.  Playing baccarat is no different.  If you really want to win you have to know more than attempting to pick a side and hope for the best. 

You have to know what you are doing, have the experience, know what losses are, have desire and passion as well as being conscious of reality and staying in it.

It's not worth getting wound up by anyone over at that place Al. I was a member over there last year for a month and there is honestly nothing any better there that you couldn't find for FREE anywhere else on the net. I couldn't even be bothered to download the PDF'S when I read the standard of discussion, lol.

On a side-note, but similar as in playing live casino baccarat, you never know whom is sitting next to you.  The majority of the times we do know, through past knoweldge and familiarization with the person or by their actions.  However, you don't always know.

I am not referring to someone's ability to sit down at the table and get the next 20 wagers 100% correct, I am talking about the person themselves.  What they are about, what they do or what they are possible of actually doing

I have this equipment operator at my business whom at first glance and meeting, you would probably classify him somewhere between being homeless and living under the highway bridges with no skills and at best, an hourly employee skating by earning minimum wage.

But you know what?  This guy is the absolute best heavy equipment operator I ever met, witnessed or had the opportunity to employ.  He can run heavy excavators, front end loaders, and skid steers in anything and on any type of terrain or within any type of situation.  He turns the impossible and extremely difficult into ease while others with many years of experience would take 4 times longer or be a disaster on site.   He demands and I pay him $38.00/HR plus all kinds of benefits.  He is north of great with his professional abilities.

However, place the same guy in a social setting he is a disaster or place him with an official or a law enforcement officer,  you would see a comical scene that you wish you were not part of. 

If you were standing next to him, maybe at a Subway quick food counter in a truck stop along the interstate, you would probably say, good lord--I am glad I am not like that guy.  But he takes home about $2K a week and dropped out of high school.   And I tell you what, on an icy interstate I much rather he had my back while we were doing something than a 4 year college graduate with an engineering degree!! 

We make fun of other at times and as well, we really do not know whom they are or what they are about.  But those that type out their feelings, their opinions, there definitive and concluded statements about others, we do know what those people are all about.  And the people I was referring to in the post above, are some of the most ignorant, most ludicrous and most conniving people I have ever witnessed or at least way up there in the top 10 anyways.
