I am so tired reading/hearing various casino ads calling it gaming instead of gambling. Gaming is for the younger loons at home playing video games for hours on end (lol).

I know why they (casinos) don't call it gambling, it sounds too addicting or bad for society etc.

The political correctness upsets me off I guess. Who refers to roulette as GAMING? What a damn joke!!!

Without a decent bet selection and the proper roulette experience, you don't have success, you have a hobby. There is no "Auto Re-bet" button in the ACTUAL world of roulette. Its B&M or take up stamp collecting. Don't let my honesty offend you. Haters will always hate. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent. There may be another reason.

As I understand it, there is no "Gambling" in Las Vegas.

If "Gambling" was allowed, lottery tickets (competition) would have to be allowed, hence the term "Gaming" is used to allow gaming in Nevada, and prevent the sale of lottery tickets.

I remember most of the places in Las Vegas had 'Gambling' all over their outdoor facades and marques.  Today less and less.  I have not really noticed 'gambling' or 'gaming' on much of the advertising anywhere.  Quick scan of Google with Las Vegas Casino Ads and similar words/sayings---produces the old ones as I mentioned and lots of other ones without either words.  I looked at the ones I received in the mail the past couple of weeks for MGM, CET, Station chains and their is no mention to either gambling or gaming in the photos and headlines and sections.

Played numerous properties in Las Vegas, Reno, Southern California, Atlantic City, Connecticut, South Florida, The South/Southeast as well as most areas of The Midwest.

Baccarat, actually a mixture of Watergate, attacking the Gotti Family and the famous ear biting Tyson fight leading to disqualification and a near riot.  Bac has all that & more.

Hey Ken;

I noticed that lottery tickets were not available in Las Vegas when I was there.

If you wanted to buy a lottery ticket, you would have to drive over the state line into California. Don't know about the other states.

Seems that GAMING VS. GAMBLING is just a legal ruse to keep people spending money in the Casino as opposed to lottery tickets, that's all.

So now lotteries ARE available in Vegas. So much for that Gaming vs. Gambling theory.
