The Power of Memory

An extremely dangerous thing at the baccarat table.  Perhaps at times and I do believe those times that it will help you---are far less than those that will hurt you.  Especially when the game is fast moving and you are trying to speed up the win or favorable hands.

I watched the past few days and really watched.  Myself, thought about and reasoned out 'why' I wagered certain wagers, the dealer and the dealer's effect on most players, the players and how or 'why' they wagered (at least the ones that I really know).

And, I have come up with one common reason that highly effects the player.  That is memory.  The power of memory and its effects.  Many times you remember things—the highest majority of those times you should also be conscious of that remembrance popping up and how it effects your wager.  Here, let me give you an example I did not even realize until just now while writing this piece.  The Fortune-7 wager I hit on Friday night with the $40 for $1,600 payout and I slid $10 off my wager for the dealer's wager/tip.  That dealer if I remember correctly, I never hit an F-7 with her an she is a regular dealer on the baccarat rotation at the property I go to locally most often.  She almost never gives an F-7.  Not superstition, just all the times I am there and what many say, she just almost never deals them.  As a regular player will remember these things it can hurt or help them like I am saying.  Most times I wager the F-7 I do it for one of two reasons.  I really think it will hit for a reason other than camaraderie or just a lucky attempt to prevail.  And secondly, the camaraderie for one reason or another, following what a dealer is saying or another player.  When she sat down she looked at me and said, 'are you ready for some Fortune 7's'?  And I said, 'you never give them to us'.  She laughed, I laughed, the whole table laughed.  A few hands into it I said, 'okay let's go' and I put up $25 and a nickel for her.  No F-7.  I let the next hand go by without another attempt.  Then I threw up the $50 in red and slid off $10 for her just to exploit her not doing an F-7.  I did feel it, and was not wagering every hand on it.  But for the sake of 'memory' discussion here, if I allowed my memory to overrule me--I would not have even tried as I did in the past with this particular dealer and the F-7 wagers.

Reason Being:  You will remember far more of the positive things rather than the negative ones.  Most of us are taught, 'put the bad things out of your mind', 'don't think or dwell on that', and all sorts of similar defenses to the bad things that affect us—from losing money at gambling, losing money in business, spouses cheating or leaving us, parents getting sick and passing away, all sorts of negative things—tons and tons of them.  As well our minds will foster, hold, dwell on and cherish the good things, about the reverse of the bad/unpleasant things.  Winning with a certain dealer, winning in a certain property, winning using a certain mechanical pre-scheduled bet placement method, etc., etc.  Then we lose more than we win with counting on those specific things to reoccur.  I see it all the time at baccarat and just never really defined it as I just did over the weekend!  It was clear and most of us are guilty of it.  Just human nature probably.

We fall prey to our own mistakes and our own lack of training/experience or control of a situation.  Whether in baccarat or other things.  I suggest you pay more attention to your conscious state and your reasoning's at the baccarat table rather than the other player's gut feelings, the loud mouth dealer, the aura and the superstitions that 'systems', modules, or some computer generated something said over 1,000,000 shoes this or that will happen.  As well as the common non-system 'brew ha-ha' comes about at most baccarat tables.  The words from most players and most dealers are pure 'chit chat' at the table and mean nothing.  An experienced, calm, conscious baccarat player with well thought out and 100% conscious wagers for the 'right' reasons rather than following the hero, following the good looking female with lots of cash, following the advice of a dealer that gets an erection just attempting to call the shots because he plays baccarat also at another casino and claims how much money he makes (if he does than why in the world is he dealing for $500 a week also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and the endless list of scenarios such as those!  Sure, it is great to go along with another, win and high five.  But usually those repeated attempts will backfire with forthcoming misery.  You do not and they do not get up and leave once the little win streak of 7 out of 10 great wagers are made!  Does not generally happen.  You and them--generally sit there and lose it all and buy-in once again.  The celebrated winning hands are far, in fact hugely out-numbered by the losing hands.  Repeatedly, day in and day out, night after night.  Period.  Come on guys, I seen it clearly and just spelled it out.

The way I look at it now, following someone, appeasing the dealer, going along with a wager because some superstition or other than attempting to be 'along with the crowd' type of wagering, is like eating a super high calorie sweet treat.  I am in my 50's, I am reasonably in shape and almost height to weight proportioned.  I have all my teeth and only 2 cavities and no gum problems.  I don't want to join a gym and work out.  Etc., etc.  I love chocolate, sweets and ice cream, LOL.  But when I eat it, I got to get the sugar off my teeth and rinse out.  In fact I brush my teeth 10-15 times a day and rinse out probably 6 or more.  My little 5 year old just went to the dentist 2 weeks ago.  4 Cavities.  Now, he whines and says he does not want his teeth drilled and fixed and he says, "I will fix them myself and brush like you daddy".  Point of that is no different than following all the loony tune 'brew ha-ha' at baccarat.  I follow it once or twice here and there and then brush it away and get back to normal!  Seriously, no different.

And to those people that say, "I don't have to even worry about this stuff, because I am wagering for the repeat after the cut", etc., and all the other fallacies that systems and book authors are writing to con people out of money.  And I say in response to that, it will not prevail for yourself, sorry--if it did you would still be at the casino playing and raking in millions of dollars.

Be conscious of your memory and where you are actually pulling your wagering decisions from at the table.  There is a difference, a huge difference.

Stephen, AKA Wild Monkey Boy:

You would not understand because exactly that, it is not a system, systems do not prevail, period.

This guy call Alrelax just write a whole load of baloney stuffs filling up forum space. I don't think he gambles at all now, but maybe in the past , he might have lost alot of money using whatever imaginable systems that he bought. That's why he has an axe to grind with system sellers, that he's gone crazy just to tarnish the system sellers. He got so mad that a few weeks ago he just copy and paste wholesale the nonsensical articles posted here to the Beat The Casino.com public forum just to get attention. But unfortunately for him, no one bother to even post any replies on his articles that he requested the administrator to take down the articles after he got shot down by a few experience members at BTC.

And he's the one who commented that people are so free with a lot to time to troll casino forums, and he forgets that he's the main one that has too much time to post those nonsensical articles. Yet he claims that he runs a business and is always occupied with his work.
Can you show us how to win in Baccarat instead of writing baloney and cursing members??.

Simple, if you don't like what I write, don't read it.

As far as your other stuff, I was invited by a member to join their forum.  I was unaware of a member there that is a notorious player and was in conjunction a 'professional friend' of a previous board admin/owner that has huge markers out and owed in Las Vegas for hundreds of thousands of dollars and will ultimately and most likely be criminally prosecuted.  I wanted nothing to do with the board once I found out who was sponsoring and putting on their seminars for hire, which was the board member i am referring to.

So, as soon as I found out that board member/notorious person was there and in conjunction affiliated with their seminar gig, I attempted to have my few posts deleted and that is the point they said what they did.

I ahve never purchased a system and never will.  Too many have alerted all of us as to what happens with them such as Ted0009 and Leugnyeh, etc., systems are fraud and authors and systems sellers are the scum of the earth IMO.  Advise and life stories and experiences are gold and real.  Period.

If you are looking for a magical system, keep looking, there is none. LOL.

That is the rest of the story.  You talk good, but you do not know the story, thanks.
