Less is more!

This especially applies to my sports bets (cricket, tennis and football)

I read in a book that a loss should hurt you and that it is the best way to learn from your mistakes. So I decided to employ super patience this year and just wait for the time that I considered all the factors were in favour of my selection and then really have a go!

Andy Murray was my hero this year!  :cheer:

I have learned that there are no magic formulas to win. When a person is successful with a system you have to be careful because the catastrophe is just around the corner.

This year I burned a strong progression in the double-streets which I should have not used. I recovered by luck with splits. I am still not totally confident to play numbers but I see progress. I am studying techniques that are published for numbers and reading PDF files for them. Next year I will venture into the world of the unique numbers. They are really fascinating

This year I also learned the hard way not to change the method of play in the casino. I think that is progress too. I intend to plan my move at home to never change it for the day no matter what happens.

If I lose I know how much to lose. It seems odd but but sometimes losing banks may be best not to waste time.

I also learned to value time. Sometimes things just go wrong and nothing can improve. Many times was below half the money and my intuition told me to stop the session. When I do not paid attention to intuition many times it was a poor day. Now I try to improve my average money cutting the bad days without losing all the money in the banks.

This year I decided to leave my reserve money at home. More than once I made the mistake of taking a part of reserve money just in case. More than once I spent it trying to recover in crazy bets.

Crazy bets can sometimes take one day ahead. But it is better not to do them.

I learned that playing by playing nothing is gained and nothing is lost. That playing to win is an endurance workout. I think this year I have trained some more to be a better player.

I have learned several, but the most poignant is this:  What I can do with play money I can't replicate with real money.  Even if it's not my money!!
