If you want to play successfully, you have to learn how to deal with the The Rush Play, Free Hand, and New Shoe Posse.  Each of these moves during play has a place, but every hand is an opportunity.  Anyone else having trouble with this?  I suggest preparing bet size/ placement packages of various types, and not watching the cards unfold so much to focus on the next hand.  Maybe the best thing is to have a 'I have no idea' package which leans to high payout bets prepared.

The Rush Play Posse wants to go, go, go, even if they just got into the table.
The Free Hand Posse wants to see a lot of hands which makes more sense for higher stakes, but at low minimum?
The New Shoe Posse is generally ready to hate every shoe even if they aren't playing it.

Also, anyone using a fitness monitor to track calories,etc. during baccarat?  I think players burn a lot.

I have the vision of the commentator standing behind the players mentioned, with his arms folded and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth while he observes.  Once in awhile flicking his ashes onto the floor.

No haha  - Often one or more players could be playing at a table and then a few others step in and want to pick up the pace of play a lot.  This is typically less of a concern for midi tables that tend to offer more time.  Sometimes the pace can be fast there too.

Sometimes players play very fast into a brick wall other times I see them play very fast and build a new corporation.  I think bet size and the amount of time players are there should weigh in.  For example, don't jump into a fast table and slow it down.

I watched a free hand Dragon hit last night.

Prior to the late 90's we only had big table Bac with up to 14 players, 3 dealers and 2 floor people.  No auto shufflers.  No boards.  All hand shuffle every shoe.  Every shoe was about 3 hours from start to a fresh shoe ready to go.  No one really complained.  It was a good pace.  The Mini was only on the main floor.  No free hands, no panda's no dragons, no side bets except for tie.

Never seen a dealer kill a hottt table harder than last night.  Sure dealers can have a bad day going, but we are betting real money and when a shoe is going wild more players want to jump in.  No reason to bite their heads off by rushing.

The best dealers learn player's betting regimens and while moving quickly they still make time to check with as many as possible to be sure they are ready.

High fives are a good sign gratuity is on the way.

Massive drama again from players that believe the house is not open 24/7.  Ask management at your favorite places to play 'When is the last time you were closed?'.  I bet they will only cite a serious instance of fire or flood damage...  Time is always a factor, but every hand is important.  I have only seen a few players that are extremely nth degree in their card squeezing dragging it out over a lot of time.  Other than that most players are playing at a decent clip.

I drove several players out of a free hand into two back to back high payout wins on a high payout win line.  Also, saw a table free hand two Dragons...  It's important to remember that sometimes high payout wins do hit on called free hands or when an entire table gives up on a shoe.

The other night a table new shoe's a low minimum table with 1 Panda AND 5 Dragon at around hand 50 something.  I was shocked. WTH?  You're sure there is no more because?

Experienced players know, won't always admit---although most will, that anything and everything can happen. 

We have lost bankrolls at the best trending scenarios as well as stopped playing.  Likewise, on the flip--we have lost at the worst shoes that no one should have been continuing the play at.

It happens.  People get so flustered and are so stubborn that they will recover--they dig themselves in even deeper an deeper. 

When the players play what is coming out---or the cards are matching up with the players wagers, whichever way you want to call it, people can think a bit clearer.  But start the losing and start the frustration for so many. 

Outlook and thought means a lot but so many know so much and believe they can outthink the shoe, trouble comes and the players spiral down fast.

I have seen 7 shoes without a Fortune/Dragon and then I see a shoe with 6 Fortunes/Dragons alone.  Seen 10 shoes consecutively with 1 or 0 Fortunes/Dragons and then all of a sudden every shoe has 3 or 4 or 5 in it.

In general, the house prefers consistent betting from players, but reality is the most solid casinos are very open to asymmetrical betting.  This includes players jumping in here or there or building a position together.  As long as they are fine with it, players should consider working together at times because sometimes being a member of the Free Hand Posse can be very, very expensive.

OMFG.  The player who squeezes in super slow mo, but is rushing everyone's bet selection and placement after the hand is finished.  REALLY?   MAKES SENSE!  Close the window on decision making, but everyone loves watching you shuffle two cards for almost 30 seconds before you start to look.  WTH?

I was very close to saying something, but he was driving so I just checked out other tables during the show.

To qualify, I'll take those drivers over some of the candy asses we have that get behind the wheel.  Everyone knows the cards are the cards, but some drive so weak just don't even look at them.  IT IS SUCH AS BAD SIGN WHEN THEY GRAB 'EM.  MUSH.

Yes, correct. Some will say doesn't matter, but it does to many players, if not for anything else--time to thin--time to reflect--camaraderie alliance or alienation. Although a player cannot change a card, it is the thought process before the driving starts that is the advantage many times.
