I will expand my response additionally with an example
...in addition this is not a precise example.. only one to help clarify..
this example is not based on true finding..
... the begins with a study in frequency
....the assumption to prove as follows....
....a run of greater than 4 iar through 9 iar will happen once in 8 showing of a 4 iar....
...so a 5 step progression will fail once in 8 attempts...
....so a progression based on the sum of (for all you stat guys) losses divided by 7 will
       Produce a profit on the long term in theory
....so for this to fail there will be an error in frequency calculation

.. the mathematical expectations will occur with a known frequency and a progression can be developed around this frequency... so if the known frequency of failure is greater than 8 on average... the progression can be developed that will recover failure in 8 tries or less on average in the long term should be a successful progression...

-  A structured money management
with these two elements skill is not a requirement

Several months ago there was someone betting only the player side every shoe... and would increase his bed if he had a negative result at the end of the shoe.. he did post his results which seem to be okay... does anyone remember what happened...

I am also in gr8 camp in this opinion... frequency and the application of...is a favorite of gr8 I believe... and is something I have studied in-depth...gr8 touched on it in his comment without giving away the golden goose... there's more to it than that obviously...

Just a guess ... I would think the freq. Of 2 iar would be close to breakeven.  But a parlay is a good bet being u will win 3 bets. Just gotta pick  your spot. Hit one out of four for a brkevn.

Into. The percentage of ones twos threes fours etc...  this is the only. Way I can determine if a progression or a flat or a parlay bet is winning bet....  for example if ones are high above 51 percent .. progression is best ... if twos and threes are higher then it's a parlay...

I agree that 3 units average win per shoe is huge.  Im of opinion that the shoe should be played fron beginning to end to determine if the method will be profitable.    I've devoted much of my game time to such endeavor.

IF there is a way to earn 2.5 to 3.0 approx.  units average per game before commission over 80 games
while using a mechanical bet selection and a small progression who will believe it is a possibility   
or who will believe its hogwash?

I usually to always test a method on 75 to 100 live shoes on paper
then combine the results to an easy to read chart or list of results to be compared
to other methods want to test. Finding the best method is my goal.

  I'd say Go For It ! But forget about online casinos. Its hard to earn rooms and food comps. and that's where your profit is!  And stay with flat betting. You will have lots of fun and shouldn't lose very much if you stay with the same bet amount. Over all you should be close to even and earn many comp. points.

I understand the concept of V-Loses. I reckon it similar to the depreciation of an asset to your income but with opposite affect.

V-losses may lower your  V-game income and increase how you feel about yourself,  were as,  depreciation may lower your reported income and increase how you feel about yourself.       In either case, you can't really put your hands on it. 

The question for me is V-losses value. 

I can only see V-losses having value if I know, in the beginning,  how may losses there will be in a game.

V-Losses that's great    -vs-    V-wins oh shucks ,    I try to have this puzzle solved before arriving at the casino,  for me it's less stressful.

I almost met Sammy Gravano. Did you know any of the guys?  I say almost 'cause I didn't speak to him, he was at a casino in Biloxi, (Biloxi has a long history with the guys).   I was near within a few feet of him and we locked eyes for a second and I think o s--t there's Sammy. He had a wig but, you know, you could tell. I was around the same area as he and we locked eyes a couple times and he gave a smirk then drifted toward the hotel.  He probably thought I was a tail.  This was before his arrest in AZ.
