Twilight Zone playing in the dark of the night.

Excellent.

Been there, done that.  A good feeling for sure.

I shall endeavor to fill up at pump #9 at the Wawa for the bike tonight.

Seriously, take the jetboats out of Hong Kong to Macau and back.   They are excellent.  Like flying 1st Class on the airlines except you're not treated like cattle.

Hmmm, a new member jumps in on a 3 year old thread.

What could possibly be wrong?

When I was still working, one of my long layovers was Hong Kong.

Pay the approximately $35 round trip fare on the super fast jet boat and you could day trip Macau with no problems at all.

And I did, a LOT.   I had a pretty good routine and once I figured out the hotel van schedules it was basically a free trip each way.  No need for the taxis.

Incredible amount of baccarat tables and at the time, one of the few places you could play on a fully computerized and exquisitely designed mechanical card handler.  It was right out of Star Wars.

The Venetian was just opening by the time my trips to Hong Kong were over and I did get to play in it a few times.   Needless to say, the women were simply stunning at every point where they came into contact with the customers.

It made the military style personnel at the Lisboa look positively medieval.

Online Casinos / Re: online casinos better?

Sorry, I should have been more specific.

I was talking about the EZ Baccarat tables where a winning 3-card 7 on Banker is a push.

I got caught on that twice over time and it put the damper on playing the EZ Bac tables.

I just noticed something today that I didn't realize I liked about my particular online venue.

Their baccarat game does not offer any of the "side hustle" wagers.

Not Silly Six, Sloppy Seven, Triple Duece, Bad Beat Bunker or anything else.

Just straight baccarat.

I like that.  Makes my game much easier to work with.

But then I prefer it that way.

Old school I guess.

We do have several women that shoot with us from time to time.

If you saw them on the street you wouldn't think twice about it but they are very good and really enjoy mixing it up with everyone.

Bally's Blog / Re: Whatever happened to Roulette?

Bally,

Yes, roulette was my first true gambling play when I was first going to Las Vegas and the Bahamian casinos.  I still enjoy it to this day as well as baccarat, of course.

It is nice to have a change of pace in the casino environment, especially if the tables are all loaded up with obnoxious players and you can get out for awhile at roulette when it's open.

And if pistols are more your thing, here's the previous week.

We do have a good time.

WEll, I was kind of bored today as I got up way too early and after reading through a few threads decided to start this one.

Things we do other than the casino.

Here's my Monday nights.

QuoteMy main reservation is that online cas are not required to win or lose against two or more players. In other words, its my understanding they could play against you and I at same time with two separate RNGs.

What is your opinion?

Thx in advance.

When I first starting playing online for small test amounts I did a pretty good amount of checking to see if multiple players were on the same server at the same time.

As a test of my current casino, I had my brother on a Facetime call (in real time) while we both played on the small limit baccarat table.  We also tested blackjack and a live roulette wheel.

We had separate accounts and were playing from Ohio and Florida at the same time.

The baccarat game was the same for both of us.  The dealer, background and cards were identical and the timing was on.  We safely concluded that we were in fact, playing in the same game at the same time.

Roulette was also tested and found to be pretty safe although we rarely play it and only tested it to confirm our original expectations.

And to confirm, these were not RNG games.  These are live dealer games.  I would never play an  RNG game online under any circumstances.

QuoteOut of curiosity in this sequence our algo A got a +3 unit (before vig) and backup algo -1 unit (plus vig).

Plus 2 here.

Always nice to be able to test/run/practice against anything posted here.

Sometimes I think I'm playing at the worst casino in the world after seeing some of the great shoes posted here.

Gentlemen,

You're looking at this from the perspective of someone who is already well versed in the game.

This type of video is for the "gambler" new to Las Vegas who might want to try something besides the quarter slots and occasional craps table.

To take it as any kind of treatise on baccarat is to miss the entire point of the video.

Albalaha,

Let me try to rephrase the question.

In the above example from message #19 (the final 10 decisions), can we infer that this was similar to:

Red, Black, Red, Red, Black, Red, Black, Black, Black, Red?

If not, then would it be safe to say that the W/L results are from some type of play and those were the results of some chosen method of play?

It makes a huge difference in the presentation for sure.

I'm sure we've had this discussion in the past but can't remember what the eventual answer was.

  Thanks.

Albalaha,

I may have asked this question previously but with these "W and L" sessions you post, can they be construed to be Red?Black or other EC wagers or perhaps "Player/Banker" in baccarat?

If it's Win or Lose in an EC game then that presents an interesting proposition.

  Thanks,
