If you can simulate real playing conditions or close to it you will have a much better chance in winning long term and consistently. You need a computer program/website with an "actual" deck of cards and real casino chips to practice. You need actual chips so you can see what happens in how you would react if you are winning and losing. You practice long enough you will see how you how much you will win most of the time and how you will lose. Once you discover all that and things become automatic where you can see four to five steps ahead you will do fine.

All very interesting....  But I'm struggling to see how it all fits in to the title of the thread!!

But, as I say, it's interesting so carry on.

"You learn from your losses."

Yeah that is a great comment. But the big question is, HOW? What is the process? What needs to be done? How you can become stronger after a setback. How can you bounce back after a defeat. How you can maintain the passion and not let a loss burn you out?

Here is a simple formula. 10X=Y

Y represents a wager whether it is $10 or $10K. X is all those little things you have to do correctly before Y. For some people they have to do 10 things and for others 20. This is just an example since we are all different. Being successful at the tables is not just about winning money. It is about proper preparation. To me it is about knowing how to play correctly and winning the same amount consistently while having a balance lifestyle outside the tables. In other words things at the casino becomes really darn boring and pretty much "predictable." You know when to leave good or bad.

Since this topic has been brought up.

Gonna save you folks $500 an hour from speaking to a Poker Coach.

Journaling. You just don't know what a great and important tool this is! Writing down your pitfalls, fears and whatever held you back or you think will hold you back. Then lists your remedy(ies) on how to approach them. Once you are mentally prepared to face and deal with whatever problems/issues you will be that much more prepared. Then next time you won't repeat them.

In Confessions of a Winning Poker Player, Jack King said, "Few players recall big pots they have won - strange as it seems - but every player can remember with remarkable accuracy the outstanding tough beats of his career." So true!

Not surprising.

There was very little recent traffic there.

Still, it seems a shame that there's no Baccarat Forum that can sustain itself for any real period of time.  They're up, then they're gone.

Why is that?  Anybody have any real answers?

Me, I think that there's just not much that can be disseminated that, frankly, hasn't already been.  Most of it, unfortunately, is garbage anyway.

Finally, I think that those that are finding some real success to their Bac games are, frankly, hesitant to discuss too much of it in any public forum.  And not just for "discovery" purposes; I think it's just as much a matter of having to explain yourself over and over again to the junior members and/or lurkers and/or "mathites".  Who can be bothered with it all?

And so these forums struggle to maintain a level of real interest.

It is quite simple and this is from my own experiences since I began to actively participate in 2009/2010. Most folks don't have the skill set(s) and/or the passion for this game. They are just interested in the money and the easy way out with the something for nothing mindset. Then you have the real insidious types where they attempt to obtain/steal your work, calling it their own and sell it. I used to give out my method(s) freely and openly in PM or email. In the beginning when I didn't know any better I would even meet you in person at Foxwoods and show you everything without asking for anything in return. All an absolute big mistake and a total waste of time. It is great you are doing well with my method(s) and even better if you discover something new and even surpassed what I showed you. Also I wouldn't mind even you attacked my ideas since I can understand it is not one size fits all. What I absolutely despise is you take my ideas not even playing them but calling them your own and trying to sell them. Then there is one individual who shall remain nameless who is an absolute snake with his constant stalking, trolling and character assassinations in trying to forcefully crowbar you for your ideas. Gr8 knows him quite well! LOL. This is why the knowledgeable players are hesitant to share anything. Baccaratlabs was a decent place at first but there were a few situations that lead to its demise. First was the upgrade screw up where everything was erased. The owners were not dedicated enough and one of them just left. I know why he did but that is another matter which I would not dig into or want to discuss. BL in many cases is the same rehash with mostly the same characters of GG and BF.

Honestly I hope malcop doesn't resurrect BL and move on.

Don't get too upset alrelax. You are not his first victim and target. He does it to many others. Now you get to occupy his psyche and live rent free in his mind.

" If you can't do anything about helping to run community at least let others do it peacefully."

Excellent post, Albalaha.

Rule 4 is beckoning and Rolex-Watch has run out of rope and my patience with it. He's attacked Alrelax once too often...

Thank you very much Esoito. Now hopefully his ban is permanent along with his other username John. Be prepared though he will come back with many other nics spamming your board masking his IP in doing so like he did at the Wizard of Vegas and Vegasmessageboard. He is also permanently banned at those sites as well.

Update: That was fast. Now John/Rolex-Watch comes back and registers as timex-watch in here. Maybe the Mods should ban his IP address like what Sonya did at VMB as a precaution but still not bullet proof but it is quite effective.

This internet riff raff is good training ground. If you can handle and deal with unpredictable nonsense here or any other board, dealing with the stuff you see at the tables is water under the bridge. Unless it is intentional second hand smoke.

Oh I will be back. Just that it is winter season and it is a nice down/quiet time in Vegas so I will be making many trips out there until Spring.

Until then.....

Ouch. Not a good way to start especially you are a new site.

Hopefully people can see pass this and re-register. For me though I am going to hold out until later on to register again.

If your program follows the intuitive formats like Baccarat On, Baccarat Free and Baccarat Pro for the iOS that would be great. Yet an online version. Yet unlike Baccarat On though I would like the time between bets to be 10 seconds as opposed to 20 seconds. 20 seconds is too long of a time between bets.

Or you can head over to Wizard of Vegas and have something like what they have for Baccarat would be good too.

A major plus is if you would allow us to input our on starting bankroll would be a definite plus but not required.
