General Discussion / Link words to adverts
January 17, 2014, 09:08:06 PM
When did we bring in the Linked Words to Adverts system?

Key words, become double underlined and Red in text colour, and link to adverts.

Is this a forum support marketing technique?

I didn't write this:-
______________

SOCIALISM
You have 2 cows.
You give one to your neighbour.

COMMUNISM
You have 2 cows
The State takes both and gives you some milk.

FASCISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both and sells you some milk.

BUREAUCRATISM
You have 2 cows.
The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other and then throws the milk away.

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows.
You sell them and retire on the income.

VENTURE CAPITALISM
You have two cows.
You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, and then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows.
The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island company secretly owned by the majority shareholder, who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company.
The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one more.

AN AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows.
Later, you hire a consultant to analyse why the cow has died.

A FRENCH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You go on strike, organize a riot, and block the roads, because you want three cows.

AN ITALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows, but you do not know where they are.
You decide to have lunch.

A SWISS CORPORATION
You have 5,000 cows. None of them belong to you.
You charge the owners for storing them.

A CHINESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You have 300 people milking them.
You claim that you have full employment and high bovine productivity.

You arrest the newsman who reported the real situation.

AN INDIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You worship them.

A BRITISH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Both are mad.

AN IRAQI CORPORATION
Everyone thinks you have lots of cows.
You tell them that you have none.
Nobody believes you, so they bomb the stuff out of you and invade your country.
You still have no cows but at least you are now a Democracy.

AN AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
Business seems pretty good.
You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate.

A NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION
You have two cows.
The one on the left looks very attractive.

A GREEK CORPORATION
You have two cows borrowed from French and German banks.
You eat both of them.
The banks call to collect their milk, but you cannot deliver so you call the IMF.
The IMF loans you two cows.
You eat both of them.
The banks and the IMF call to collect their cows/milk.
You are out getting a haircut.

AN IRISH CORPORATION
You have two cows
One of them is a horse

Gambling Philosophy / MOVED: Quantum Mechanics 101.

I will keep this post short and sweet.

What about having a Random Bet Generator?

Its like a Random Number Generator...........but instead of generating Numbers per se, it generates the option on the next bet within the chosen game we are playing.

Let me give you quick example.
Say we are playing Turners Quads.
Quads are where the Table has been divided up into Four sections
Yanks has recently made a video on the play, and our New chaps, Spin4Fun, and Tri0 have enabled in their software.

Bascially, the bet is 6 options long.

1.  Quad 1 & 2
2.  Quad 1 & 3
3.  Quad 1 & 4
4.  Quad 2 & 3
5.  Quad 2 & 4
6.  Quad 3 & 4

So, they can be easily expressed as 1-6 options,
Therefore, all we now need is a small Random Gen, that produces numbers 1 through to 6 to show us what to bet.
We would still progress the same way as usual, Fibo, Marty, Grand marty, or whatever you like, even Flat!

Would be interesting to see, the comparison between an "intentional" play technique like Yanks and Spin4Fun have devised
vs the Random Bet Generator telling us where to bet next.

We hopefully, could 'tune in' to the right frequency, and effect a system, where the RBG matches the RNG of the casino, or the ether of a real table, and win all the way to the bank!

Graphical comparisons would be great to view on these tests instances.

Your thoughts please on a postcard to........................this address!

(Same theory could be applied to a lot of other bets too, esp where there is multiple choice in the BetSelection! )

Looks fun.

Not sure where the numbers are generated from.

Try the Zero Game, and shoot the test run button.....................I won!! ha ha!!

Anyways, something for the fellows to play with.

Off-topic / A question about Excel 2010
August 02, 2013, 01:31:08 PM
This question is a copy of a post I have made today, over at:- http://www.ozgrid.com/forum/forum.php

it's a great place to get Windows Excel/Word/Powerpoint questions and queries answered, and usually very quick.
Some very clever people look in there, and take the task to heart!

""Hi all.
Why is it not possible to hide a Column/Columns that contain only percentages in them, if the % are used to draw a graph?I have such a sheet, with % in two columns, and if I use the "Hide" format, they stop the graph from performing.

The best I have been able to do, is to re-size the column down to a very small width, but still the column can be seen, and if I copy/paste data into my sheet, for analysis, and graph plotting, a small dot (the cells filling up) can be seen where the two columns are, as they are not completely hidden!
Any answers anyone?
(Other than moving the columns to another part of the sheet, or....maybe onto another sheet?)

I'm stumped!Chris...............(stumped!!)""

Off-topic / Any Entrepreneurs in the Forum?
July 27, 2013, 12:55:05 PM
Do we have any budding, experienced Entrepreneurs in the forum?

Particularly if they have any experience in either Selling an idea,
Franchising/Franchisee, or Presenting proposals to Multi-national companies and Business Angels?

I have a brand New Franchise idea!

Its very sellable.
Its multi-national in scope.
I would envisage starting in, (or advise its formation), within Europe, and then expand to USA +.
It has Low running cost base, and a Medium cost start-up. (Depends of user input)
Extremely small use of consumables, & Low -Medium resource drain on environment.
No chemicals need be used/consumed.

It will spawn a whole new industry manufacturing centre/company(s), and would probably employ
hundreds of S.E. franchises within the first year, + jobs in the manufacturing.

Its scaleable in dimension, and a simple single owner operator franchise.
Very little stock to carry, and repeatable sale on 2/3/4 times a year basis.
Once someone has built up the client base, then they would be set for years, and have a business
they could sell on, as a going concern franchise.

I am looking for advice, indicators on which way to go, and how to get to the decision makers who would invest
in a project like this.

it's a Home service product.
Almost every domestic home has a need for this product/service.
Would retail sale around £50-80 ($60-90) mark (at the sharp end for the customer/client.)
Profit, less running costs and Initial Franchise investment, would be around 55-60% of sale price.
Product would use customers utility services (electric, water, lighting etc)
After product launch, this would be a soft sell, and self generate leads/appointments.

Ideally shown in Ideal Home exhibitions, and D.I.Y outlets etc.
D.I.Y celebrity endorsement would come I think, and mentions on all related shows.

There could also be a D.I.Y innovation product to come from it as well.

If anyone has relevant experience, or knows of someone like wise, please get in touch.

This is one idea I can not keep in my head any longer, as I have just has the very instance
of when it would be used!! [smiley]aes/thinking.png[/smiley]

Discretion would of course, at this stage, be paramount.
I am not seeking funding directly through the forum........just bouncing ideas, and advice for it.

Cheers for reading.
Chris

P.S. I guess I should see if there is a Franchising Forum eh!
