I was just thinking of ways how we could be self sustaining without the need for ads and did come up with an idea which may work.

How about a roulette book library.

I have a lot of roulette books that I don't read anymore. I am sure there are a few of us like that.

How about donating them to the forum and setting up a bookshop.

The books could maybe be sold for £5.00 each + postage. This would be much cheaper than buying them new.

Let's see if we can come up with some good ideas.
Sometimes it is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine.

Wow, that's a creative way. Thanks for giving it a thought

Good thing is we *ARE* already self-sustaining without the need for ads by direct support from members

Exactly,
I feel that each of us should honestly try to contribute here. $5-$10 a month is nothing if someone dreams of earning from gambling. This place provides us much more than any book can ever do.

Well I am happy to get the ball rolling if this gets the green light.

I have 2 books I can donate for now.

'How to win at roulette and blackjack' by Roy Ward Dickson.

This book does cover a lot of ground for anybody interested in hot numbers and the cyclic nature of roulette.

'Roulette for the millions' by Patrick O'Neil Dunne.

This book is about a group much similar to Norman Leigh who took on the casino in Macao.
There is a 20,000 spin supplement that comes with this book as well.

I have no problem paying a monthly subscription, we don't pay tax on gambling in the UK, so this would be my betting tax :)

Wally Gator

I also have no problem with paying a monthly subscription.

does everyone not already pay a monthly subscription?

Some members support by posting plenty and actively... i.e. Johnlegend, Subby, and others.

We need their new posts in order to attract new subscribers so one could say their support is cornerstone to the forum as a whole.

I'm about to put up a special URL so bot coders can provide extra incentives (releases/features) to people who subscribe to support here.

(Obviously coders who are this generous get their membership for free, since their contributions are worth more than a single subscription)

In the future we can charge for the framework, to organize and keep casino coordinates centralized, keep a database of harvested numbers from casinos and the like (basic/core stuff) and fellow friendly coders can charge a premium for their modules, so we work cooperatively and create our own "mini market", depending and controlled entirely by us.

-2013 is going to be an exciting and productive year for the community!

so, not everyone pays a subscription?

Also, later today there will be buttons for all active members to register as paying visibly.

We also have a large quota of "dormant members" who might in the future like to subscribe as things go more and more appealing and subscription enjoys more added value

No. Those who don't get chopped posts and can't access several sections unless given the grant manually.

I'm also take the opportunity to place a subscribe button for those posters who were given the grant but wouldn't matter to put up with subscription price.

It's 100% opt-in of course, I do consider that bringing the main chunk of content to attract other members is already a lot; for instance asking to support with his constant posting AND financially every month I consider it to be over the top and that's why I'm not doing so, just if -and only if- those members want to choose it themselves, they can also have the choice/option.

They are already contributing more value than the one quantified by membership price
