Okay, so this is more to those who are new. New to this forum, or even new to baccarat.

I joined this forum about 2 years ago ( if I'm not mistaken) , when I was high in baccarat. I meant I played everyday, making around $100 per bet, and could bet to $5k per hand MAX.

There was one particular system's seller ; Alvin iplayforliving.
He posted here, some of his thought, and obviously his system. And by that time, for me he had what I need. To cover my lost. To make me a winner again.

So I bought it. Use the money I didn't own. After that I thought "Wow ! Never heard, seen or even thought about this before ! This will surely work. "

After that, thousand of shoes. Some lost, some won. Mostly, LOST !!!! And it was bigger, because I was so naive and think that the system will work out. Thus I came to what I am today.

"I believe every system has it own nemesis. It will work sometime, and it may not work on another. No matter what. And NO system could help you to beat baccarat / gambling"

I write this because the recent issue of some author promoting his book. He claimed many things. Personally, I DON'T BELIEVE him. But this is an open forum.

Thing's going everywhere since that. Some is funny, some is not.

Then this issue is re-appeared. Many positive reviews etc etc.

I found this misleading. But, it is YOU who decide, what you would do. It is YOUR own money, not mine. It is YOUR life / money / family at stakes, not mine.

So, IMHO, PLEASE, consider everything. EVERYTHING.

Baccarat / Gambling is not something you could consider as a source of steady, daily income.

When some, especially new player, believe they could do baccarat as "play for living". When I was naive and arrogant, thought that I could earn a decent living by playing bacc. The truth hit me hard. Lost saving and ruined relationship with friends and family.

You may not believe me. I was believe there are ways to win regularly. Really. Got a lot of free stuff form Silverthone's. Bought Alvin's. Studied Dr.Tom's. Just to learn that sometimes "all-the-systems-out-there" works, and most of times, they don't.

Please don't do this.


It breaks my heart....

That many players, some after a hard lesson, learn something. And maybe many of them, although already in deep hole, still believe there is a miracle, holy grail system that will turn the situation. And do not realize they're getting deeper and deeper.

You may not believe me. I lost my saving, and with 110% confidence after having a new "cure all-fix all" systems, borrow money from friend and family, just to see it vanished. So stubborn. So stupid. None of the stop-loss, money-management, or bet-selection worked.

In the end, the biggest enemy is your self. Your anger, greed, pride and that kind of thing. Not the casino, not the dealer, not the cards, and especially not baccarat.


Really I don't want you to experience mine. Do you really need to experience it first ?

You want to win at baccarat ?

Play it for fun / extra income. Save some to start as your bankroll. Be ready to lose it all. You could divide it into 2-3 buy in. If it is gone, please don't chase or re-buy. Save some more for the next time.

If you win, save some for you bankroll and spend if you wish. Don't forget to buy something nice for your love ones. I don't believe "hot money easy come easy go". You could save your winning.

Play as you like it. Call it systems, luck, intuition whatever you like. If you want to be better, there are a lot of stuff here to start with. But learning come with experience. And learning baccarat is costly. You will realize (or you will not) what works, and what doesn't.

Just don't use your saving or debt as your "tuition" fee.

No I am not on my period. Or smoking w**d whatsoever.

Why those who have ultimate system, best progression to handle worst, most selling system, never boast about their winning ? Brand new car, luxurious yacht, x-thousand acres home etc etc.

So, let's say all baccarat players in a table of 8, for example, could only bet on one side only for each hand, what would you think would happen?

What I am trying to say that, IMO bacc is "me" paying "you" or the way around.

So why not try to bet against a "losing" player, since "maybe" it is easier to notice the loser than try to recognize the pattern, do the math etc.

So no matter what the pattern, the last hand's result, just bet against the player you think on a losing streak.

Been some time since I last check-in here. Guess nothing change much. I kinda hope the "HG" was here. LOL.

Well play this game again after a while. I just want to share something.

Ok so I've been of this game for about 4-5 months. When I started to play again a couple days ago, well, I forgot all the theory about this game. Just one thing in mind "Play the shoe"

So, no count, no paperwork, no nothing. Just play by feeling. The result quite good. 500 to 2000 in 2 shoes.

Something out of topic. While I away from this game I played chess. A lot. LOL. One thing I learnt from chess, you will make mistakes. Even a GM does. Sure you could learn from your mistake. But there will be new mistakes. And so on.

Every time you face different situation. Yes you will always deal with Black/White side (Banker/Player), different opening (different pattern), the twist in the middle game (change of pattern) and so on.

I found this game has some similarity with chess. IMO of course. And I found chess has taught me patience, when to wait,when to strike. Well it help me in bac I guess.

And for me the bet selection comes first, then the money management.

Some have stated that there is no point of betting less hand because every hand is independent. The cards have no memory.

Yes it may be true, but I just want to state that betting more hand ALSO won't make you a winner.

Because I believe every player have their own method. And in that particular moment your method is the best.

But when is the right moment? How will you know the "moment" is starting? How many of you experienced that you've just a little too late?

So, anyone want to share their mind / experience?

IMO, every method usually have their own "trigger". When the trigger is there, you should try to start. You may catch the moment or you may miss it also.

That's when MM matters. You may try the 2nd, the 3rd and so on and so on. Hoping when you catch it, you can parlay your winnings, or whatever it take to make you a winner.

I've just checked iplayforaliving.com which seem the site is not active anymore. He still has this howtobeatbaccarat.com.

But what surprised me that he has lowered the prce, from $19 per month. Usually the same package is sold $400.

Wonder why? Alvin?

Okay, this is the "Holy Grail" subject again. 

I don't want to debate whether the "HG" exist or not, it would be the same as arguing over "chicken or egg".

Okay so I've stated in the past that "HG" mostly around the bs method. But as we aware there are two main yields, bs and mm. Could it be the "HG" exist in the mm yield? Beside D'Ale, Marty, Star, gr8 and many...would there be something new?

Or like the saying that "any bs method will fail in the long run", we also agree that "any mm method ALSO will fail in the long run"?

And how to measure (if there is one) this "HG"mm's performance? What is the standard? eg How many LIAR it could last, how many re-coup percentage it could give, or what?

Maybe we are looking in the wrong place?

Just want to see how people here would do when facing a bad shoe with 4,5,6 or more LIAR.

I like to review each shoe I've played, especially the shoes where I suffered many LIAR (4,5,6 or more).

I try to evaluate my bs, to improve my winning percentage.

But I realized that if I adjust my bs, to avoid the LIAR in the particular shoe, I may end up winning in that shoe, but I might have another LIAR in another shoe where my previous bs is doing fine.

And I found it interesting, a x OO x O xx formation, in soke shoe I could win it all, where in another I could lose it all.

Guess that because my bs is still based on what happened in that shoe, which is P/B outcome. Is there any bs that NOT depend on the P/B outcome?

Many topic have been discussed here about Bet Selection (BS). IMHO, most of us will agree that no BS is valid enough to be called the "un-beatable HG".

Same thing goes for Money Management (MM). One's MM not always suitable for other, as different person hold different emotion, style of play etc.

In my period of time I've done many observation about the shoe I played. IMHO there are 3 (in general speaking) kinds of shoe :
1. More W's than L's, and the W's are clustered. You could easily have 2-3 WIAR or even more with some L in between.
2. The exact opposite of the first type
3. Moderate / Neutral, where W's and L's are chopping.

And of course, we won't know what kind of shoe we're dealing at the beginning. But as the shoe unfold, experienced player will soon recon what kind of shoe they're dealing with.

The first kind of shoe, no need further discussion. With any method or MM you easily walk as a winner.

The 3rd, I said will test your emotions. Especially for those "one-shoot-big-bet" kind of players. It either you even, have small profit, or you might lost, even your entire BR.

The 2nd is the most dangerous (or challenging?) one. It's hard to get profit, and you are lucky if you could walked away with profit or even. You must apply your negative/positive prog wisely. I've experienced countless time when I hit my next "positive" prog and it ALWAYS (90-95% of the time) lost. I don't know why. Even when you think you're on winning streaks, suddenly "boom" and out of nowhere you'll be facing 4,5,6 LIAR.

So, IMO we better change our approach in every table, rather than changing our BS or MM.

Actually, I believe many of you have understood this topic. Just want to share fot the new player out there. And I "missing" making a topic. 

Here I would like to share my preparation berore playing this game.

Hope other will share their too.

1. I wouldn't set my mind to a certain BS method. I open up my mind and say to my self
"a method will work sometime and won't the other time."
"a method will work sometime and won't the other time"
"a method will work sometime and won't the other time"
.... And keep going and going and going, even in the middle of the shoe. Especially on losing streaks.

2. I realize that my first bet ( I prefer labeling it "attempt" ) won't always right. There WILL be the 2nd, the 3rd, the 4 th attempt and so on and so on. When I lost for the first time, I asked my self, "When will you try the 2nd ? The next hand, or the next 2,3,4 hand ?"

And also another question "Will you try the same BS? Are you sure?"

And then "How much will you bet for this time? 2x ? The same amount?"

3. Try to maximize on winning streaks and not to bet bigger on losing streaks. For positive prog. I used 1-2-2 and restart again. For neg prog rather subjective. It could be the same, or x time the initial bet.

4. Have a faith that EVERY shoe has it own bias / patterns / phenomena. It could be the FLD/OLD/TBL/OTBL/Dr.Tom's/Alvin's/5D/Derived roads/Chops/Streaks and so on.....

And realizing that NOTHING will last forever.

5. Trust more in my feeling.

6. At some point,

If I already up, will I continue? Knowing that you could give it all back or win some more.

If I lose, I prefer to change table and swallow the lost. Before play the new one, light a Mrlboro and try to lower the emotion. Usually for 10-15 min.

I forgot what progression I used. LoL

Have to check the bet summary.

If I wasn't mistaken my biggest bet was 15u.

So, let's forget all the method you've known or learnt before.

You could build your own.

Baccarat is 50/50 EC game. You could pick between :

Banker / Player
Opposite / Repeat

These two are the ONLY thing that happen in baccarat shoe.

Choose between two above and focus on that ONLY. No going forth and back.

Please remember that you MIGHT NOT get it on the first attempt.

There will be 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on. That's where your MM matters. Do the math.

Choose your timing wisely. No one is putting their gun in your head and tell you to bet every hand.

Come on. Analyze yourself. What make you lost in your game? The streaks? The chops? Terrible two? Or what?

Do you always try to cut streaks / chops? Do you always get behind streaks / chops?

Is you bet size too large?

Do you bet small on winning streaks and bet big on the losing one?

Is your goal too much?

Are you patient enough? Are you sure?

Build your own method rather than study other than complaining that it didn't work blah blah blah.

It's your money.

Let's discuss something else here. Many of the topics always about BS, MM, Stats etc etc. Those are the "Hardware". How about the "Software" then? Soft pink tissue inside this thick skull of ours.

So, as I observed the poll mostly said the cause of losing we experienced because of this mental state. Panic, out of  etc etc . Even with the bs or mm that we have faith in it, I believe when things get tough, everything will change.

So, mind to share your experience here? How to handle the "chimp" as LungYeh stated?

I recently discuss with a roulette player. He used some stat, deviation, konvergen, permutation etc. He said it work well with roulette.

But when talked about bacc, he said that bacc is harder to measure. I read it somewhere in this forum, HBS stated that too.

So, do anyone could explain is there really a significant different between this two games? Is really the stat approach is better in roulette?

I might have some point to agree with that. Because as I understand 80 spins differ with 80 hands. Bacc shoe will eventually end, while the spins could go around non stop.

Yes we couldn't know the remain of the shoe when it reach i.e hand#75. But doesn't the remain cards are somehow affected by all the cards that have been drawn before?

I was never good with stat and the gang. Try to get some knowledge here.

After seeing a guy name sodapoppin streaming live playing blackjack, I really have this thought of someone here do the same thing.

I would like to do that, but since gambling's prohibited where I live, if I do that I will have some trouble with the authority.

But live streaming technology is really a something. One could show how well he/she 's doing in baccarat/roulette/blackjack. With everyone as the spectator.

Instead of debating the method, one better show it off.

But the down side is you can only streaming playing at online casino, which some of you may think isn't as legit as B&M Casino.

But who knows someone will do this in the future. Looking forward to it.
