Vic, Care to comment, confirm??

(Whatever you believe is best for the board to say on your behalf to this situation, Thanks)

I confirm. There is an email from UNLV urging the forum to follow rightful procedures for proper quoting/citing which we should honor as true gentlemen

Hi Vic,

Please confirm. Alex is now mutual owner of BetSeletion.cc. or something to that effect.

Yes, Confirmed. Glen/ALRELAX has taken over the ownership position of BetSelection.cc

We're currently in the process of pushing the domain to his account & getting things prepared for long-term forum workings. The forum continues "as is" yet from this month onward the forum has a new main man

I will be involved for a minimum of 3 Years on the back end as Assistant Admin / Tech guy.

It was a family decision and in the best interest of BetSelection.cc moving forward. It's been a while since I realized I'm not attracted to the discussion itself. Now I'm mostly doing the software side of it. My discussions for a long time ago have been just about: bots, testing and, basically, software work.

Full announcement coming later in the month when everything's fully done.

Vic

Vic, care to comment??  Did I or did I not send you several/numerous complaints, concerns and reason why many members here stop posting and became extremely less active over the past year or longer??  Vic, confirm or deny, for the benefit of the record please.

Confirmed. Glen has shown he's caring for our board actively long before he's been appointed as a mod

(That's a powerful reason why fellow mods accepted his nomination at the moderators' lounge)

I play any sports as long I get a return on investment.

Wise

Actually, you shouldn't care much about the proposition as long as there's enough ROI to keep you happy

Joe, I've checked & double-checked and it isn't our issue; it's definitely peoplesign.com having their https:// misconfigured.

https://peoplesign.com/

Peoplesign is our captcha image provider.

...Can't really do anything on our end but wait until we roll our own (home-grown) human verification code within our new server

Quote from: CoderJoe on March 04, 2018, 09:21:12 AMMaybe it only exists for a new user's first posts on the forum?

Yes, there's a bit of verification for new posters. It helps us keep the blatant/very obvious spam bots away

Glad to see it resolved for you; it means you're not a bot :D

Thanks again for your report!

Joe, I've checked for an easy fix; there's no obvious one.

We're rolling our new network of sites slowly so don't really want to mess with our .CC forum much (here) since we need this one to remain online during the transition process.

Don't worry, as we roll the new space with me in full control of the code base, it's certain fellow Firefox users get to register without issues

We're going to use your quality testing services again as the new "BetSelection.is" space comes to life (thank you very much!)  :D

Hi BTW, I'm set to stay home for the next days doing intense coding; this is our BetSelection.cc giveaway #5 to open our weekly release schedule as we're in March

Do monitor our Patreon weekly space for it.

Cheers!

Quote from: CoderJoe on February 25, 2018, 09:11:24 AMHi Victor,

I'm having problems posting with Firefox. I kept getting an error message saying the verification was incorrect.

Hello Joe, thanks for your report & welcome to the family

We're going to stick to this web engine for the whole month of March so it's worth to have posting working correctly for the fellows  May we get to know the exact error message displayed by the 'Fox?

Cheers!

Yes modification is fixed!

Thanks for your report.

Quote from: alrelax on February 24, 2018, 03:13:16 PMYes, to a certain point, the system is not self correcting the wrong words or changing them as bad as it was.

Roger that. I'm on it.

Quote from: alrelax on February 24, 2018, 03:13:16 PMIt is also not slowing down as bad while typing.

Let's see what happens.

Okie.

We're only doing maintenance. All the new feature development time goes to the new server / new setup

https:// issues should be minimal by now.

Posting, replying and modify page should be working for every topic.

Anything, please report

Thanks for the report Max & Glen.

There's old code still hanging around. After years of modifications this code-base is messy but we've already moved to a better one, with me coding both the "core" & the modules as a big shift forward for decades to come

Hello! Recently we got a security certificate to enable access via "https://" which seems to have made things buggy with posting to some fellows.

After removing hard-coded references to http:// we're still having some "doo doos" posting-wise as per reports. Let's use this thread to address & debug it.

P.S. in case you didn't catch the announcement, we're moving to an Icelandic operation this very month. It's "full blown" this time, with me quitting my day job to focus on becoming an Internet developer/creator:

https://betselection.cc/general-discussion/what-made-you-spend-so-many-months-on-this-forum-Victor/msg61279/#msg61279

It's a scary step yet exciting at the same time!

The finished product differs from traditional forums in a rather positive way.

Good times for us a community

Sumit, our next wave of sites is simply put: EPIC. All of them aimed at becoming cult sites for the community of users enjoying them.

I'm already in the process of quitting all local IT-related activities (contracts, gigs) to focus on making a living 100% via the Internet.

This is the finest hour in our lives & humanity's.

When I'm focused entirely on a single project, magic happens. I am focused now; literally putting myself at the forefront, risking my livelihood as well as my family's in the most important move of my career.

Patreon page is set with the aim of keeping us community-supported, ad-free & unbiased. Our upcoming sites are mentioned on it:

https://www.patreon.com/vlsnet

We're embracing betting and beyond to study Abundance & exponential technologies, Simulation hypothesis, Life extension & body healing improvement, as well as devoting to creating works for the Public Domain so the whole world benefits from this endeavor.

I'm letting go of local shop so starting right away in March, I'm relying on Patreon support & Internet freelance to feed my family.

There have been several motivators. Glen for starters, giving me the courage to follow my gut.

Nick, Max, Angelo, Paul… Furthermore there have been amazing synchronizations, achieving milestone blessings for my family & unbelievably relevant spot-on messages coming to me when I've been pondering what to do, such as this from Martha Graham:

"There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open."

I'm keeping it.
