Baccarat is a game by its title, but unlike any other table game in the casino, it is the absolute easiest to win and the easiest to lose.
Problem with the highest majority of all playing the game is impulsiveness. Impulsiveness is always, not only when losing as countless believe and swear by. Baccarat has an extreme tendency to pull most all players in and instill almost instant delusional beliefs within them, session after session after session. No matter what they think outside of the casino or say they are going to do when they sit down at the table. It just happens that way believe me.
Everyone has a cycle that they go into loss events with. The absolute highest majority of all the people playing would have no clear definition of what that cycle is until it is too late or they are deep into a drawdown. That happens for numerous reasons, but most of all being egotastic and refusing to be open minded and neutral, understanding how they wager, what can and most likely will not happen and what a real solid advantageous Money Management Method is.
Every person playing Baccarat desires with passion the following. Larger, more, one more win, keep winning, etc., as well as get the loss back, get even, etc. Admit it or not, but in my opinion it is. Nothing wrong, just hard to separate the proper fuel from the detrimental fuel, that's all.
You see in baccarat, it is instant. Unlike employment. Employment rewards and compensation occur slow. Reviewed and increased quarterly, semi annually, yearly, etc. Position status, compensation, specialized benefits build and are revised slow as well, so on and so forth. We are OK with the slow and gradual build. But not at the baccarat table. Countless really do believe that it will be instant and regular, never wavering, risk-free and unlimited profits. Which of course is all fallacy and totally misunderstood.
So much is written on most forums about Bankroll and entering a Baccarat session with 2,000, 3,000, even 4,000 units. Ludicrous numbers! Hell with a $100 minimum table at 2,000 units, that is $200,000 buy-in. ROMAL! As all of you know, what I have preached countless times in the past, is a session buy-in of approximately 10% of your bank roll. You go do the simple math. The highest amount of all baccarat players all fail regularly at the tables because of lack of drawdown funds as well as their lack of a solid money management method that allows themselves to continue winning when winning and self-stop mechanism that is mandated by their wagering loss when it happens.
Fallacies are easy to write. They look good, have bragging rights but are never ever proved to be correct. Lose a bit and enter into negative wagering progression and you will be in a deep hole of Holy Hell, no matter the size of the starting wager. Even at a small table minimum wager $25/50 you will quickly be into tens of thousands of dollars in drawdown. And the highest amount of times the table maximum with any continual negative progression will fail even if you have the funds to continue.
Baccarat cannot and will never be beat by a negative progression or any type of set repetitive mechanical flat bet Wager. Never ever. Period.
It was all figured out long before you attempted to. I promise you from the bottom of my heart and over 40 years of my continual baccarat play.
However with a proper and rock solid money management method, understanding the game, a control of your desires-emotions and expectations you give yourself a nice advantage over the casino. Especially playing baccarat where there are usually free hands, no minimum amount of hands have to be played and unlike all the rumors on the internet, players do not get backed off for winning regularly. Fuel those with getting into a habit of not expecting certain results, having the ability to define and get rid of your negative and greed inner subconscious, as well as not possessing triggered mechanical Wagering selections.
Once you accomplish that you will be taking the majority of uncertainty out of the picture in many many ways. No, it is not easy but you have to. What you wind up doing, is adding skills for removing/minimizing chaos and allowing you multiple advantages to distinguish more between what is actually happening and what will most likely happen. Two of the absolute most important things that can make you money in the game of Baccarat.
And when you allow yourself to possess those kinds of advantages at the baccarat table, profits and occasional grand slams are sure to follow.
As I wrote above; "...a control of your desires-emotions and expectations you give yourself a nice advantage over the casino."
You must understand that the mind resists uncertainty. We are taught, trained and learn that from a very early age on.
So when you sit down at the baccarat table, throw your buy-in funds up on the table, you better flip that switch from normal to baccarat mode. Because if you do not, your survival is at stake for the session.
You have to realize there is a pattern of resistance that is extremely strong which forces your mind to stay in an automatic response mode as it detects threats. (Gambling risk, losing your funds on the table, bad decisions and mistakes, etc.) That auto response is for safety and for the untrained mind, that means to be anywhere but in the present moment where it perceives acute unpleasantness.
So what happens rather than staying with the experience and determining the best possible way to handle it (proper decision making to your advantage), your mind jumps to creating a quick story that involves worrying about the future (session at hand) based on past experiences. Ironically, the story created (subconsciously) bestows a false sense of knowing what's going on and allowing you to feel temporarily soothed. All false of course.
This is why I talk about drama-free, passion-free and removing yourself from all emotional thoughts of the events at the table. You must remain completely neutral in order to accomplish this. Possible? Absolutely, but not easy!
You too may have triggers that cause you to get lost in interpretation rather than staying present, you may even have a pattern of interpretation that shuts your mind down but have never realized it is happening because you are so accustomed to it. For sure, there are so many different experiences vying for attention in your mind at the table, in any given moment that in order to deal with what seems like an overwhelming amount of stimuli, the mind rushes to interpretation to gain a sense of control over it all. In reality though, interpretation creates a false impression of stability. As you start to become aware of your patterns of interpretation, be extremely kind and non-judgemental toward yourself. It is mandatory if you want to understand the game and be able to remain neutral. You have to interpret experiences/events, those thoughts generated by your reactive mind become your primary experience, as opposed to whatever is actually happening right in front of your eyes from the shoe being dealt, that desperately needs your full attention and proper response.
And that my friend, is the largest and most purest advantage you can ever award to yourself.
