Math & Statistics / Re: How to gamble if you must!

Before anyone gets too excited I noticed this towards the end:

"However the point of this article is not to make you a better gambler (in spite of the title), but to uncover some beautiful mathematics. "

That should excite the 'mathz-boyz'

I could be mistaken, but I think his book was about horse racing, not roulette.

Ahh...well done, Badger. That rings a bell -- I think you're right.

@ Peleus

Sadly, Bally went AWOL a while ago so he's unlikely to see your message.  :(

It's been so long since I downloaded the file.

If I knew what it was called (someone??) I could search my HDD and then offer it to you through my dropbox.

Ignatus you really are a jewel in the crown of the forum.

You are an active and greatly valued contributor of interesting ideas and methods.

And this is another of those. Well done.

I can see why you used  the word 'dangerous'.  I must confess I went onto oxygen when I saw some of those drawdowns!

General Discussion / Re: BETSOFTWARE EXPLAINED
December 01, 2014, 07:34:36 AM
BetSelection software is now undergoing accelerated development -- despite GG's glib and undeserved comments.

Its ability to handle Excel Modules is nearing completion and Nickmsi has opened up his section in anticipation.

Other Modules for other programming languages will soon follow suit. (If this means nothing to you then go and read the thread!)

I've known for quite a while how Victor has set his sights on bringing this software dream to reality.

He's totally committed

Hello friend, I wanted to ask if you received help making this software?

No!

Would it be possible to share the code?

Maybe some of it. I wrote the code purely for my use so it does not conform to the conventional layout. It was never intended for public scrutiny.

It looks a multiple tracker has plenty to extract. Thank you.

And I thank you for your appreciation.

General Discussion / BETSOFTWARE EXPLAINED
December 01, 2014, 05:01:34 AM
I've written a thread  intended for all those who are wondering what BetSoftware is really all about.

http://betsoftware.cc/betsoftware-discussion/what-is-the-betsoftware-program-all-about/msg56/#new

I've written this non-technical overview that's pretty accurate because Victor has tweaked it where necessary.

Folks, this BetSoftware is extraordinary in its application, scope and function, and its potential cannot be understated.

So-- read the thread and then dream of the almost endless possibilities for all of us with a pulse...

And let that be The Quote For The Week.

Very good!

A lot of 'work', though.

How long did it take you altogether from start to payout?

I've posted it for all members to enjoy. Took me quite a while to code it so I'm happy it's been well received.

Runs under XP, W7 and W8. No installation is needed -- it runs straight out-of-the-ZIP-file

Victor has also posted how Linux users can also easily run it under their OS.

You'll find more details 'over there':

Business ideas / Re: Roulette Testing With Real Wheel
November 26, 2014, 05:05:29 AM
Welcome here!

I have a suggestion.

See if you can get, say, half-a-dozen samples from your proposed supplier. Most prefer to sell more per order, of course, but for a possible new customer they'll likely agree.

Then test the water on eBay to see what sort of response you get.

You'll be exposed to millions there. [Here you're exposed to a just handful]

"P.S.: Please stop your heyhey. It is more annoying than impressive."

I'm pleased I'm not the only one who finds it very annoying.

Yes, please stop it. It's gone on long enough.
