I'm just gonna quote that so I don't lose it. I swear someone had responded with an excellent comprehensive E Star explanation earlier.

PS   Thanks Tomla

The cat what called his self the john-O came up with the e-star, and you should easily find the thread in the gamblingglen baccarats archive, hey hey.

You never stated the table max. But, with 5ks bankroll seeking to capture 500$ I would use the positive progression style with 100$ base bets, and should be easy to capture that 500$ profits, hey hey.

I know two cats who have made good part/fulltime income usin Star, as written at the dice tables. Of course at dice you have lower table min and no tax due on winning bets like with the baccarats. I've tested Star against my buddy's huge dice table result data base and and it performs well, even buckin up against a full progressions buts one per week. But ya gotta pony up a lifetimes bankroll of 4000-5000 units to sustain yer play. So, Star ain't for the faint of heat or light of wallet and in the ya gotta have the balls and bankroll, hey hey.

Agreed. For me, it isn't a flat bet game. I have to bet larger for recovery and profit. Usually, in the form of a parlay to reduce the initial bet size, and initial loss potential. It's keeping the hammer down into a win streak that is tricky, I don't like risking big wins to net next to nothing and then inadvertently dig a deeper hole.
However, I'll never walk out with +50u or more without doing just that. And I'm ok with that. That's why I play the Player Dragon and first hand Tie. To burst me past my stop win. Which is about 20u.

Somewhere in here is a thread about how often you win 10 or 20 or 30 units flat betting, parlaying, or martingaling. And how often you pass back and forth over the threshold of profit and loss for each mm inside of 100 bets. I've discovered part of this myself. No where near to the extent the thread covers though. It is imo some of the best gambling information I've ever read.

That's why my stop win is about 20u, it's why I fight so hard for getting even and going home after a big draw down.

You might wanna take a looksee at Conquer the Casinos book, hey hey.

The Frank Barstow was one shrewd cat. So, I'm gonna share a couple of quote passage from his Beat the Casino book, enjoy, hey hey.

"The superiority of the parlay progression is obvious, is it not? Ergo a properly constructed bet series using parlays or the double-win approach to be described shortly is the way to go if you plan to offset losses by increasing your bets on any even chance."pg66

"I am told that a recently published book recounts the story of a man who is supposed to have earned a good living for 30 years doing nothing but grinding out small hourly winnings using the following parlay series:
1-1-1-2-2-4-4-8-8"pg60

Baccarat Forum / Re: FLAT BET OPINION

Personally, I wouldn't bet flat unless I was certain of winning 55 percents of all hands. And then it would be a purple chip proposition for me. Besides, I would go the route of the positive progression style. Positive progressions act like flat bets when losing but give yer profits an extrma oomph when yer winning, hey hey.

There is only ONE online joint that I would pony up cake to play at, and that is restricted to residents
of the  province of Ontario, hey hey.

The Frank Barstow was a huge proponent of the partnership style of play, hey hey.

Yep it is so good, that Walter confessed he doesn't use it any-more, read = after leaving 1-ville, he pushed himself into mandatory situations of having to win more hands than he lost, couldn't achieve that, got badly burnt (probably in 4-ville), hence it was side-lined (dropped).

Mr "hey hey" is another, can't explain a damn thing about his game, never has and never will.  And people wonder why it is preferable to run private forums than public ones.  Read - some serve no useful purpose.

But "hey hey", if it is posted on the web, then it's gotta be true.

Next week I'll be at the MGM LV playing behind a rope, trying to make 100% of my buyin cake as per usual.

Geezz, I luv the internets hey hey.

Why don't you bring yer fat, senile wog-loving behind over to this side of the pond? You can finally settle up with yer arch enemy the rinzler. Or, maybe you've been reduced to playin for peanuts on the dublinbet? You are and always will be john-o the clown, hey hey.

Years back I invited a cat from the gamblingglen to come eyeball my baccarats play. Sadly, the cat turned coconut so I won't be doing that again. But, I would be happy to talk baccarats with serious cats over a coupla few pints, hey hey.
